A good store love coming here but prices can be a little pricey but that's ok and I love the estate sales y'all do also I find so many awesome treasures there when we go.
As soon as we walked in the door I was told I couldn't bring my purse in, it is not a large purse. We USED to love going here quite frequently and have made purchases. We also would bring out of town company. As a former business owner, we understand your theft problem. The way to cure it is not to offend the customers as they walk in the door. The suggestion of leaving your purse with a stranger is absurd, and the same for taking it to your car. By way of this page alone, I am surprised there are not constant break-ins in your parking lot. I am sure your vendors are aware of the business they are losing due to this policy, never mind offending your long standing customers. We won't be back.
We like Blue Horseshoe and we have found some pretty neat items here. They do have some pretty cool estate sales and we have found some nice things that way as well. I will say that this new policy they are enforcing is pretty unfair and honestly I believe it’s probably hurting more than it’s helping. It seems that a lot of women like to frequent Blue Horseshoe and surely they could implement a better system to avoid people feeling singled out and wanting to leave. I don’t believe punishing everyone for the few bad apples is the way to curb shoplifting.
Was traveling and went out of my way to get there. Less than a couple of minutes I was approached about my purse. I had plenty of cash but I left. No thanks to me ever spending a dime here. Bad customer service.
We 100% enjoyed our shopping trip! Found some treasures at great prices. We enjoyed meeting & chatting with the owner & her pup! We will definitely return regularly!
Very insulted by the staff over the purse policy. Haven't been down here in a long time and will never be back. Why isn't ok me to have to trust them with my purse!
This place is so cute and offers lots of options, new and vintage. They also have a good selection of home decor and furniture so you really can get something for every room. Definitely worth the stop.
I showed up for an “estate sale” on knives which was totally dishonest advertising by owner. The knives are always there, and are at retail prices. This sale was specifically advertised on an estate sale website and stated “moved collection to store”. Wasted my time and they should know better and be honest.
I went to this store for the first time and I literally stepped Inside the front door and was stopped by a young woman who told me that I could not bring my purse into the store because of theft. My purse was 12x10 cross body bag it is by no means a “large bag”.
Needless to say I turned around and walked out. This is not the type of place I want to spend my money in. You may want to rethink how you address your policy’s with your customers because this is not the best way to build a reputable business.
I've been to this place several times over the last couple years is always been wonderful. Always find something to take home. I really truly disagree with their current policy of leaving your purse in the car or behind the counter with a stranger who is not always at the counter. Is discriminating towards women. The people who staff the store maybe need to reconsider their policy. Maybe it's time to put another person on duty that can roam the store or more cameras but stop undermining the people who come in there to shop. It's really a low point when a few people destroy the environment for everyone involved.
Just wanted to say how much this discriminates against women in particular. Men with jackets and pants with cargo pockets will hold as much as a lot of purses. I'm not putting my purse in the hands of anyone or a locker with no security and why would you think a car in any parking lot is safer. For these reasons and seeing other reviews agreeing I'm lowering my review to one only because I can't put a zero

We drove more than an hour to shop there and I was not allowed to go in because they said I had to give them my pocketbook or leave it in the car my sister had a pocket book the same size and hers was ok REALLY??? I will never go back there until I hear they are going out of business and I will gladly bring balloons! Keep your junk you are ruining business for your vendors
Need a better customer service after checking my cuzins bag they were very rude. They left never to return. I understand about being careful about theft but they are ridiculous. They drove over an hour just to shop there. Be prepared to be treated like a thief if you go there.
Walked in the store knowing what I was for sure going to buy and was stopped at the door being told I have to leave my small purse behind the counter. I asked if this was a new policy and the employee said it’s been in place since April, I’ve been In the store atleast 5 times since then with the same purse and nothing has ever been said to me. Im a local and have bought from here so many times, but not anymore. I personally feel like they were judging me as I was wearing a hoodie, sweatpants and had messy hair. I hope all vendors in the store know of this stupid policy and how it is affecting customers coming into the store. I’ve already read the stores one time thief story so no need to copy and paste to reply to me. I will take my business elsewhere, will not return!
My Mom and I went to Blue Horseshoe yesterday. She had a small crossbody and the girl said she needed to leave or put it in a locker. Ridiculous! That’s the reason the store was empty and nobody was shopping there. Will not be back and will spread the word to not do business with such an establishment.
We stopped on our way back to Charlotte. They have a great selection of vintage and collectible items at a great price. The ladies running the shop were very nice, kind and helpful! will definitely visit again when we are in the area.
Not the worst shop in NC, not the best. A lot of smalls and some "crafts". In addition way too loud obnoxious music. I usually go about once a year...that's more than enough.
If I could give 0 stars, I would! We have been going to this antique store for years, and have spent 100’s of dollars here. We went in on August 9th 2025 only to be told that my wife’s purse, which she has taken into this establishment many times was not allowed. A purse big enough for a cell phone and a wallet that slings over her shoulder. What BS. We go into the Antique Market place in Greensboro, Twin Deer in High Point, Grand Daddy’s in Burlington, White Owl in Mt. Pleasant, The Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord, The Blue Octopuss in Eden and Catawba River Antique mall in Belmont NC as well as many others, on a regular basis with absolutely no problems. These businesses care about and want people’s business. This establishment obviously doesn’t care about that. They have gotten our last red cent. Maybe that doesn’t matter, but if you want to go and have a good time and enjoy browsing for antiques like we do, I’d suggest one of the previously mentioned businesses and I will never refer anyone to this business. Based on other reviews, we are not the only ones who feel this way.
Don't visit this store. They are rude. They will run you out without knowing the whole story. One of the vendors came in while we had been in the store for a long time. My son (5years old)took a play hat and put it on his brother's head and he threw it in the floor (he's 3 years old)as my dad was going to pick it up. She rudely said "are you going to buy it?" "this belongs to me" and acted like a Karen. She already made snard remarks as my dad moved a lowes foods buggy out of the way to get by with the stroller. We were asked to leave because we couldn't control the kids, mind you the baby was in the buggy and our 3 year old was in the stroller. They act like kids are supposed to be quiet. Our 1 year old was sleepy. Our 5 year old was looking at things. We didn't let the kids tear the store apart. They were well behaved considering. Needless to say if you want to be kicked out for nothing, go visit. We will not be back!
Was a good customer until today when my wife was informed she could not carry her small purse into the store. We are not thieves and don't like being treated as such. Won't be going back .
I have no problem with leaving my purse in the car, but when you walk in a store and are asked to leave your small purse behind the counter or return it to your vehicle - and then return to the store and see other people with purses walking around-it’s hard not to feel there’s some discrimination going on. I guess I appeared suspicious or something. I’d rather just make my purchases elsewhere from here on out.
I have been to this store several times and have always enjoyed it. I generally find something to buy. Today I entered and after being greeted was told I would have to either leave my purse behind the counter, with a complete stranger, or take it back to my car. I asked why and was told no large bags were allowed. My purse is maybe 12 inches long, maybe 8 inches tall. It pretty much only has room for my wallet and phone. I have taken this same purse to this store, and many others, and never had an issue. My assumption is that this facility is having problems with theft but there are much more customer friendly ways of dealing with theft than making your customers feel like a criminal 2 steps into your door. So, I will not go back to this business. It won't break them but the policy they have is a bad one
Cool store with plenty of vendors/different items to look through, employees were nice and helpful. Even found out they have an estate sale business and was able to check out a sale they had going on.
The store is very nice and on par for prices as well. So I decided to wait and make this so cooler heads prevail. The first time a went I encountered a very rude unprofessional cashier/employee, but I chalked it up to having a bad day and decided to make another trip and try once more. Other than being the only one who wasn't greeted or invited to place my finds on the counter, I had to just ask unlike the other few customers. But as I was checking out the before mentioned employee was writing my purchases down I thought I would make chit chat and end on a positive note. I inquired about a ball on a wooden base and asked if was a certain type of glass I get eyes rolled "I don't know, and IT'S NOT FOR SALE". I couldn't even make eye contact after that as my blood pressure immediately hit the ceiling and really wanted to explain where the ball could go!!! The other sightly older woman probably the owner came back and finished the transaction. I absolutely hate doing this cause she was very professional and friendly but I will not go back. The old scenario one bad apple spoils the bunch. I refuse to drive close to a hour to get treated as such.
