Watched one of you trucks lose dozens of plastic bags for miles on end between Kinston and New Bern (11/23/22 12:50pm). Get the right equipment or maintain it properly so you aren't littering during transport.
Just because the time on this app and all the signs out front say they close at 4:30 the nice lady at the gate, whose clock is 15 minutes fast, will tell you they lock gates at 4:25 and won't let you in after she is tired of working. Basically, you need to plan to be there an hour early or hope her watch is fixed or she is having a better day, because you can't even try to unload anything after 4:15.
Staff are very friendly and professional. When available, nice compost at a good price. Easy drop off sites and good prices. And it is true, a biscuit for my dog as we leave.
Fair price for whole truck or trailer loads when I go. Friendly folks and the dogs get a treat at the exit window. I appreciate the team and availability of a transfer station here.
I've been going there for over 14 years and have always found the attendants to be friendly and helpful. Yes, it's one way traffic on the scales, but that hardly matters. The most I've ever had to wait is about 5 minutes. (Attendant always gives me biscuits for my dogs when they're in the car.)
