Pricing is fair and the service is good here. I've been here now 2 times and pleased with the friendly and upfront staff. I don't feel they play games (like at the BMW dealership at Southpoint). I feel comfortable taking my diesel BMW here and did after my friends at work recommended this place.

It's heard to find a car maintenance place you trust and auto logic is that for me. They are always really friendly and I can usually get an appointment fairly quickly. They are definitely the best in the area.

Wish I could give them 10 stars! Really friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating when scheduling services but more than anything I appreciated how upfront & honest they were about what services I ACTUALLY needed instead of trying to upsell or coerce me into things I didn’t need like so many of the other auto shops in Carrboro/Chapel Hill tried to do. Their prices are also very reasonable and I had my car fixed & back home in less than 24 hours. So grateful there’s still honest, local businesses around!

Just a great experience all around. Fantastic customer service and always talking to a real person. They worked with me so I could bring my car in and pick it up at times that worked best for me. They completed the needed services (headlight repair + oil change) quickly and the price I paid felt like a great value. Will definitely be going back next time I need car work.

I had a very minor issue that they cleared up. I didn’t know there is a sensor in your spare tire and that triggers the warning light on the dash. They didn’t charge me. So nice!

I have taken my truck here twice for drive shaft and starter repair and they are second to none. They double-check with you about your auto issue, communicate effectively, get the job done at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

After a blowout on the highway, we were told by the tire store that the tire sensor on our Audi was destroyed and needed to be replaced. AutoLogic assessed the situation, informed us that there were no sensors on the tire, adjusted the tire pressure to manufacturer standard, cleared the dash alert, and send us home without a charge. Now that is great customer service! Thank you Auto Logic!

Got me in fast for a failing battery. I left the car in morning and all work done by end of work day. They took the initiative to also check windshield wipers, filters, lights, etc. Good communication through text to confirm which services I wanted. And changed my key fob battery for free. :-) It’s not the cheapest option around, but expert, reliable, honest, communicative, and not trying to upsell you.

Auto Logic is a professional operation but in my one experience with them, they provided substandard and expensive service. I used a code scanner to diagnose the problem that needed to be repaired, they informed me they would need to perform their own diagnosis, which is expected and not a problem. What was a problem is they charged me $160 (one hour labor) for the diagnosis and did not tell me about this cost in advance. I know it does not take an hour to perform the diagnosis - all they need to do is connect a code reader while the mechanic works on something else, so the one hour charge was over the top and not ethical. Do they really add $160 to every bill when they run a diagnostic?? The work they did to replace a transmission pressure switch was a bit high but not totally unreasonable, although my regular mechanic in a big city rolled his eyes when I told him the price. There are two main reasons for the low rating. The first is that when I picked up my car there were dash warning lights on that were not on when I took my car in for service. These codes could have been turned on accidentally when the mechanic disconnected my battery... Instead of clearing the codes before they returned my car, I had to take my car in later to get these codes checked out and they were spurious did not indicate a real problem - and I had to pay my mechanic to check them out. The second problem is that the mechanic at Auto Logic DID NOT TIGHTEN MY BATTERY TERMINAL when he finished the job. The battery terminal was left loose, probably because the mechanic used a regular socket for tightening and was too lazy to find a thin wall deep socket that good mechanics know to use when tightening battery terminals. After I picked up my car I drove 5 hours and when I stopped to get gas my car wouldn't start. When I tried to jump it I learned my battery terminal was loose because the mechanic hadn't tightened it, and this prevented my battery from charging and car from starting. This sloppy work and the extra $160 diagnostic charge is the reason for the two star rating, at least for this particular work.

I was looking for a new mechanic for my Toyota vehicles after my former mechanic overlooked a coolant issue in my beloved 2008 Tacoma which led to a head gasket failure. The folks at Auto Logic were able to get my replacement vehicle (Green Prius) in quickly for an assessment and service. The staff were pleasant and very communicative during the process. I will be bringing my cars here from now on. ? Addendum: After only a few months of ownership, my replacement vehicle (Green Prius) was totaled via an encounter with a deer! When I had a complicated issue to diagnose in my replacement for that car, (Blue Prius) I brought it to Auto Logic, and they were able to diagnose and repair even more quickly than they initially estimated. So grateful for their expertise.

I drive a 2005 Honda Element and appreciate the interest and enthusiasm these folks have for keeping it on the road! Probably most shops can handle regular maintenance. It’s their ability to problem solve that sets this shop apart. Recently, the rear struts were replaced with quality after market parts and all should have been fine only it wasn’t. The second set also failed. Auto Logic ordered and installed Honda struts and coil springs. I was only charged for the original repair. I’m going to be away for about 6 months so I had them look it over to be sure all was okay. I don’t want anyone else working on my car!

Auto Logic replaced my side view mirror. They did a great job, and also finished more quickly than expected. People were competent, helpful, and friendly. I was so pleased with their excellent work! They even went beyond the basics and fixed another issue! I highly recommend Auto Logic and I will be using them for all my auto needs from now on!

Strongly recommend them! There is a reason they have over 700 reviews and 4.9 stars. Coming from out of town and having car problems is always nerve wracking, especially trying to find a mechanic. They have gone above and beyond to what I would expect a regular mechanic to do for us. I brought in my car to get evaluated because it suddenly stopped working. We all of a sudden needed to buy a new car and sell my other one as junk. It cannot move, it needed towing. I cannot thank them enough for all their help during this stressful time! They provided us with recommendations to who to sell, have been patient with us finding a buyer and getting my car out of their lot. This has been taking longer than expected. They are compassionate people, who do not just treat their clients like its just one more car, but as people who may be having a terrible time because their car broke and have other things going on in their lives! Please call them if you need good, reliable work done, support a local business and good, honest, compassionate people.

I can't recommend Auto Logic enough! I first discovered them back in 2019 after an awful experience with an express oil service chain that left me driving with zero oil in my car. Auto Logic is a longtime locally owned and operated business (since 1986) that provides honest reliable professional diagnostics and repair work for many popular makes of European and Asian automobiles. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and communicates clearly and effectively. Their prices are fair and reasonable, and their work is first rate. If you like your car and want great help keeping it running smoothly, you will not find a better service center in the area. As a bonus, near completion of my recent repair, I asked for help resurfacing my 20-year-old Mini Cooper’s hazy headlight lenses. My poor little car appeared to have the cataracts of an 85-year-old man! With one extra hour of work and about $100 added to my invoice, the lights look brand new again, a huge improvement to both the appearance as well as visibility.

Friendly people, honest work. After getting quoted for an absurd amount at a popular auto repair chain, I decided to try my luck at Auto Logic. I was treated with respect and was not pressured to get any unnecessary work done. I only got billed for exactly what I needed and asked for, and the repair was done in a timely manner.
