I like how this business operates--they shoot straight and I've never felt like they were unfairly trying to 'upsell' me on anything. The owner intervened to help me when I was having issues with another mechanic, and he's had my business ever since. In that instance, not only did they seamlessly fix the problem I'd gone to the other mechanic for help with, but they also identified and solved a running issue that I'd spent two years trying to track down. They know what they're doing and they treat me with respect, so even if appointments aren't available immediately, I don't mind waiting because I know when I get my car back I'm not going to have to wonder if it's really fixed.
I had a great experience with my s10 here which needed a fresh v8. Tony suggested the Chevrolet performance crate engine after having had a blown blueprint crate engine at 1,500 miles. It now has 5,000 miles and everything has held up.
A great shop! Family owned and the staff are awesome! Had my NC state inspection done there and I was in and out in 20 minutes! Easy to get to and important to support the local economy! Thanks, Hubert Hot Rod! 😁👍🏻
They were pretty quick about getting everything fixed took a little longer than expected (parts got lost in shipping not their fault) they're very honest an straight to the point an offer very fair prices if anything else comes up their shop will definitely be my first choice
I came here at the advice of 2 other people. Let me tell you it was well worth it! I had a broken bolt on my exhaust manifold and they were able to get it fixed in an hour and a half! Luckily none of the other bolts broke taking them out. Their prices are unbeatable. If you have to wait a few weeks for your appointment, it's worth it. Highly recommended.
I was having trouble with a bolt on an O2 sensor and went down to see if they could do anything about it. They changed the whole sensor for me and they were so fast and efficient! I really appreciated the fact they went out of there way to change the whole part for me. I would really recommend going here!
Today they came and jumped my car. I was told how to save money for my car in the future. All this was not something i expected and they certainty didn't have to do that. While I'm here in this location i will use no one else.
Took my truck 2 different place to get fixed in Jacksonville no one could figure out the noise my truck was making. Took it to tony and with In a hour him and his team figured it out very nice people and I will definitely be a repeat customer!!!
Brocato's Towing - I called Tony this afternoon after learning that my vehicle had a broken intake valve spring and no local repair shops had the tool to remove my timing chain. As a result, I needed my vehicle towed to a dealership Jacksonville for repairs. Tony was super prompt, courteous, fair, and helpful. His daughter was equally courteous and helpful. I strongly recommend Tony if you need a vehicle towed.
I had scheduled with Tiffany last week for my appointment today Monday. She was very informative and polite with pricing. I took my truck this morning to get leveled it's a 2011 Ram 1500. When I arrived at a few minutes before the opening, her and her father were there and I got to speak to both. Both seemed polite and straight forward. Later on Tiffany texted and let me know the total price and it was ready for pick up. This business will be getting my business again. I'm very pleased with the work and the price! I was referred to them by a friend who had a total lift on his truck there and was very happy as well. Myself and my wife will be going there from now on.
This was year back and I never review unless its bad but these guys are the BEST. They were reasonable and helpful. They saved me money and time and did all I wanted for a fraction of the price. And there was only 2 of them while they had other vehicles to work on. For the same work at Chevy dealer I saved over 800 bucks. Not just labor but they custum parts and make sure its right before you head down the road. I just got new truck and plan on letting them fix her up. Treat these guys well and they treat you great.
Went there today with our 96 Chevy Silverado because my fiance sent me so they could take a quick look at the rear end. I believe it was the owner (didn't get his name) and the mechanic, Tim, I think his name was. Were amazing! They didn't talk down to me or anything! Tim was very good at explaining everything to me (I work on cars for a living, not trucks) what was wrong with the rear end of my truck. Tim was very caring for adjusting a few things in the back to make it a little safer than what the truck had been for the last year. (We only knew about 1 thing) and told me to be careful on the way home (luckily I didn't live far). I work at a shop myself and I wasn't there for long but I could tell this was a fantastic business!!! I called my fiance when I got home to tell him everything and he even said y'alls customer service seemed amazing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 12/10
Tony and his mechanics are great to work with. They rebuilt my '68 Mustang put custom pipes on it. He's also worked on my Nissan Sentra. I wouldnt recommend anyone else to work on your car. Fast and honest.
I took my vehicle in to Brocato’s Towing (AKA Hubert Hot Rod and off road) for a problem with a center support bearing or possible U joint problem. I dropped the truck off on a Friday morning and spoke to the front desk girl (the owners daughter) told her what was going on and she told me that they would try to “diag” i.e. (diagnose) the problem. I asked how much that would be and she said “it shouldn’t be too much, I wouldn’t think any more than $50 or $60.” She then proceeded to tell me that I will receive a text or call before any work is done to the vehicle. Friday comes to an end and I don’t get any calls or texts. They’re closed on the weekend so fast forward to Monday, 2pm hits and still nothing so I decide to reach out to them. I get ahold of the front desk girl and she says “oh yeah I think they’ve looked at it but my dad went to lunch and he’s still not back but he’ll give you a text or call when he gets back” 2:40 pm hits and I get a text from a random number saying “call me about your truck” so I give the number a call and get ahold of the owner. He proceeds to tell me “the whole rear end is blown and it’ll be $1,500.” I ask if they’ve already taken anything apart and he says yes so I kindly ask him to please put it all back together and to refill the diff with fluid *which they drained and took apart without my permission*. 45 minutes goes by and I get a text “your all set ready for pick up” so I drive down to the shop to pick my truck up. Walk in to the office and speak with the owners daughter who says “you’re all set that will be $107.00 if you pay card or if you pay with cash, that will be $100.00.” We then go out to the back lot to get my truck, before we get to my truck my wife kindly says to the owners daughter “just for future reference it would be really nice if you contacted the customer to let them know how much the work is going to cost before you do the work on it” she stops my wife and says “we definitely called and texted him on Friday” which they didn’t she then says “nothing is free here accept air” annoyed with the rude owners daughter speaking I turn and just walk away to go to my truck. I crawl under to see the diff covered in oil and look at the back cover which looks like most of the bolt heads are freshly stripped. Still frustrated with the rude front desk girl I get in my truck and drive home. Not even 5 minutes down the road I get a call from the owner asking why my wife is “raising hell” with his daughter. I proceed to try to discuss the problem with my truck but he won’t let me get a word in, then calls me a “dick head” and brags about how he’s a USMC vet (congratulations buddy so is everyone else in Jacksonville NC) Side-note I’m still active duty USMC. Anyways long story short if I could give them 0 stars I would. The customer service was nonexistent. The communication was as informal as can get and my truck sat in a junk yard for 3 days to get the diff fluid changed. I would NOT recommend anyone who lives in the Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, Hubert area bring their vehicle to this shop or use this tow service for anything. Worst mechanic experience I’ve had in NC which is pretty hard to do given all of the bad mechanics in this area.
Extremely happy with the work they did on my truck!! Looks and drives fantastic. The people at Hubert Hotrod and Off-road are very welcoming and honest I’m glad I trusted them to work on my truck, will definitely be coming back.
This is a honest company that worked with me and my budget. All around great company and extremely pleased. The work quality and keeping me updated on my project was amazing. Also I was told a time it would be done and it was done when it was said. All in all I would absolutely recommend this company to work on any vehicle.
Very misleading as to their ability to fix my problem. We discussed the issue and I decided to leave my vehicle with them to fix the problem. Upon my return I found they had not done what we discussed and that they decided to do what they wanted instead which was a bandaid at best. They told me word for word that they would almost guarantee the issue would continue. After all of this they still decided to charge me for three hours worth of work. The bandaid at most took 15 minutes and the little bit of extra work at most would've taken an hour.
These guys went above and beyond to ensure I was a satisfied customer and that their work was flawless. They also had fair prices and worked with me and around my schedule. Highly recommended
My very elderly father unexpectedly needed a tow and then some work done on his car. This company took care of him in an honorable and respectful way. Their character shone through as they helped my father. The car is working beautifully. The shop is clean and eclectic and a place of great care. The people at this place of business are not only kind, but skillful mechanics. Trust them!
I had them regear my 2016 Ram 2500 from the factory 3.42 to Nitro Gear 4.30. They were the only shop around that had the right answers to my questions that made me feel comfortable leaving my truck with them. I called and dropped of the truck the same day and work was completed in about a day and a half. I got about 300 miles before I dumped the gear oil and changed it and completed a road trip to TX and back cruising at 90 for a couple hours. When I checked the gear wear pattern before and after I got back it was just about perfect on the drive and the coast side. Gears were just as quiet as the factory gears with no hum. Thanks for fitting me in and getting my power back after putting on the 37s.
