My SUV had an issue due to a repair from a mechanic shop and Port City Towing was very fast and got my SUV safely back to the mechanic so the shop can fix it again. Yeah these folks did me a solid after I got screwed by another towing co. that told me he'd pick up my truck but ultimately blew me off - called Port City & they got the truck where I wanted it in less than 3 hrs & this the day after the monsoon that blew thru ILM. Highly recommend !

I’m still amazed over my experience with Port City Towing! I had just pulled into the Food Lion parking lot like many times before. Except this time when I moved my automatic gear shifter into park it would only go into reverse. I had to leave my truck there overnight. Sunday, I called Port City Towing and Michelle said they would have a driver at my truck at 10:00 am. When I told her what the problem was with my truck, she seemed to think the driver might be able to help. I told her I would meet the driver at my truck. Ben Bourne was the Driver and I’ll have to say he has restored my faith in humanity! He went way beyond anything I could have ever expected! First he crawled under my truck and moved it into the drive position and instructed me to pull it across the parking lot. Then he backed the tow truck under the front of my truck, lifted it, crawled under it and did a temporary fix. He followed me to the Auto Zone where we picked up the necessary parts to repair my truck, then he backed the tow truck under the front of my truck a second time and put a permanent fix on my truck! On top of all this, he cut my tow bill in half since it was only a one way trip! (Thanks to Ben Bourne). I begged him to follow me to the bank so I could get him some cash from the ATM. He wouldn’t have any of that so I thanked him and went on my way! In these times we’re living in, it’s extra special to have had this interaction with a tow company and extra, extra special to have met Ben Bourne! I’ll always be grateful for everything he did! Ben’s son, Ronnie Bourne owns Port City Towing. I would highly recommend them for all your towing needs! They’re great people!

Great response and nice people. The only problem was when I called and gave them my location they told me $275 for the tow. Then about 5 minutes before arrival they called and said it was farther than they thought so it would be $465. I had no real choice to argue because they wouldn’t have towed me if I would have argued the point. I told them I was 50 miles from Wilmington (exit 369 Warsaw) and that was exactly how far I was. So I’m not sure what the confusion was. Anyway just be aware they may change the price on you when it’s too late and you have no other options. When I called they had my exact location and what vehicle I was driving. No room for confusion.

I had a wonderful experience with Port City Towing and Recovery ~ Wilmington. My car was at the shop and to my dismay was worse than anticipated. Needing to get my car home, as well as my only key, I was within a short time window with the shop closing soon for the weekend. My anxiety quickly elevated now knowing any towing services. I proceeded to Google, leading me to contacting Port City Towing and Recovery. The receptionist was amazing, calmed me right down. She retrieved the best estimate she could, which was extremely affordable. My driver, Matt, went above and beyond, going into the dealership shop including keys and paperwork. Matt parked my vehicle exactly as instructed. He did a spectacular job delivering my car with such care and punctuality. It’s fantastic to find such amazing local companies that are so personable. My car happened to break down on the way to the shop for an oil leak. It was very early in the morning and thankfully I did not have to wait more than 20 minutes for Matt to roll up. He was kind enough to help me remove my car seat, listen to me vent, take me back to my home AND take my car to the shop. I had stupidly locked my keys in my car and spirled into a panic attack and while they didn't have anyone who could help me, they had eveyone out at that moment, I was given 4 recs I could call and was reassured. They were so kind and I felt so much better by the end of the call. While I can't review their work if it is anything like their customer service I know that it is top notch.

I have a shined up f-150 that needed a tow to the shop. I was kind of worried about the driver being rough on the truck and not paying close attention but he was great. He winched it right up onto the truck and dropped it straight onto the lift at the shop couldn’t have been much better. Highly recommended!

Their team made this process easy, enjoyable, and stress-free. I reached out to their team for towing services and they were able to accommodate me within a reasonable time. What stood out to me was their customer service. The tow truck driver that came to tow my car, reached out to confirm my location and walk me through next steps over the phone. He confirmed how far away he was and gave me peace of mind. When he arrived, he was friendly and talked with me to learn more about the issues I was experiencing with my car (additionally, found out he was from up north just like me!)
