Came in around noon and bought two lower control arms. Was only charged for the parts which is great, not charged for the bolts. Accidentally left the bolts for the other side sitting on the ground, went back in and they charged me for the bolts that they just didn't charge me for even after I explained that I just left them sitting. Didn't even bring any tools in so it could have only been from that part. It didn't cost much, I think $0.50 per bolt, but they were free when I bought them with the part 30 minutes prior. First guy was super friendly, second guy was rude and wasn't even listening to me when I was talking to him.
It's hard to really love a place where you have to work to get what you need but this place does have parts that are reasonable for replacement to my vehicles!
I came all the way from Virginia to check out this company’s yards, and I couldn’t be more satisfied. The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful from start to finish. I stayed until closing, pulling the parts I wanted, and the older gentleman at the counter gave me a great deal when I asked for a better price. He told me, “I’ll do it because I want you to come back,” which really stood out to me.
The yard itself was clean, well-organized, and the prices were unbeatable. I’ve visited more than 50 yards in the past year, and this one is by far at the top of my list. I will always recommend it to others. Huge thanks to the entire team; especially the older gentleman who helped me at the register; for making this such a great experience.
Called just to see if they happened to know a specific color of a vehicle they got less than 3 days ago, guy said “no idea” and hung up. This place usually is very friendly and prices are okay.. but last couple times they haven’t been. They had to watch me get a bumper of a car one time because I’m assuming it was a rarer type vehicle.also $55 for a used tail light cmon now.
I recently visited Pick-n-Pull in Wilmington to find a hood for my 2006 Chevy Impala. When I first walked in, the experience wasn’t very welcoming — the woman at the front desk didn’t greet us or ask how she could help, and she immediately told me my son wasn’t allowed in the yard (which I understand, but the way it was said felt a bit abrupt and unkind).
Thankfully, the experience got much better. One of the staff members went above and beyond by giving us a detailed list of vehicles that would fit our model, which saved us a lot of time and guesswork. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly.
We were able to find a hood that fit perfectly and stayed within our budget, which was a huge relief. Overall, despite the rough start, we left satisfied with our purchase and the help we received from the staff members.
Today it was my third time visiting this place. I cannot describe you how cool this place is! All the employees are very friendly, helpful and have genuine smile. They have a huge variety of cars to get a needed part from. The prices soooooooo low that even eBay cannot beat it! Also one time i forgot a bit that I needed for the impact driver and they let me use the one they had. That’s a top tier service! I highly recommend this place!!!
How is it they sell you wrong wheel, you never leave the building but ask for a different wheel because of uncertainty and then some one else measures sees they sold you a wrong wheel(lug pattern) an then gives you correct measurements U need. But instead of just returning it for full price the still charged you for environment fee 2× times which is for Ex. Throwing a old tire away I never gave them a old tire to throw away the 1st wheel i had,had a good tire on it...I gave it back an your just going to sell it anyway .....They just getting over on plp cuz most likely its ur last stop to go if you spent to much on beach trip n need a way back.(still pricey for a junk yard) junk yards back home inland at least tell you what that vehicle can take n not take before taking ya money
Go to pick n pull often! Most of the time the prices are fair! There return policy is also good! The workers are good and knowledgeable and friendly! Would definitely recommend this place!
One of the best yards I've been to. Referring all my buddies here. Great pricing great layout probably 10,000+ cars. $2 entry fee. Bring your own tools and a hat.
I was trying to make it to the store to buy a battery when the battery I had in my car died i n the parking lot. I walked in to choose a battery and the cashier was very disrespectful, telling me that I had to buy a battery for 80 dollars when I wanted on for 45. If I wanted an 80 dollar battery, I could have bought a new one. Then, when I went to install the battery to crank my car and leave, I was informed that there wouldn't be any warranty because I would be instaling it in the parking lot. So, that means I would either have to get a jump or push my car off the premises to keep the warranty. The battery was dead. I went back in to exchange it was told that I couldn't. When I started to walk away before I got into trouble, the manager came out to diffuse the issue. Then he basically forced me to buy a more expensive battery because he knew I was stranded and had no other choice. And, since I had to install the battery in the parking lot to leave, guess what? No warranty. Guess what, that battery was almost dead, too.

Found it funny how they pick and choose what vehicles they follow their online pricing on. They tripled the prices on parts I had pulled and went to counter and asked why the prices were so high compared the website and the employee immediately says they’ll knock $400 off the first amount ahe had told me, here they guy was looking up all the parts I had pulled in eBay and he states this is what they sell for on eBay…. eBay and pick n pull are very different ways to acquire parts. Needless to say I did not buy the parts due this and will not be going there again.
The management here acts like they're running a garage for Mercedes when in all actually they're running a junkyard. The employees do all the hard work and endeavor to assist customers to the best of their capacity but I could hear management screaming at subordinates from behind closed doors and I could tell everyone there is looking for another job. I've been given wrong information on a multitude of occasions from the staff not because of incompetence but because of the undue pressure the management team places them under. Anyone who's considering giving Cape Fear Pick n Pull their business is better off either looking for what they need from Marketplace, 1A Auto, Rock Auto, or even Ebay Motors. For me it was worth saving myself the time and hassle of the condescending staff for just wanting to pull my own parts. A high turn over rate at any job makes the company the lowest common denominator not it's multitude of employees. This junkyard treats it's team members like garbage and it shows in the way sales have been handled to Customers in our community. Someone should buy that place and fire everyone in that office.
It's a 90-minute drive for me so I called to make sure they had a vehicle listed on their website. The kid who answered the phone said he was too busy to check but he assured me the website was correct. Got all the way down there and paid the entry fee just to learn the vehicle had actually been crushed a week ago. Complete waste of time and money. Terrible customer service.
I haven't been there yet. But the other person that I spoke to on the other end of the line, he seemed to be very knowledgeable in his job.. in the description of the land. Where are the parts are. I plan on going there in a couple of days. Trying to get my buddies truck running.
The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I go here for all my used parts due to the staff and the affordability. The lot is very organized and they provide a map to assist in locating the needed vehicle as well as a list of compatible parts off of other vehicle types. It took me around 5 minutes to find my needed vehicle and part and the only reason it even took that long is because the vehicle I needed was at the back of the lot. They have tons of vehicles to choose from making finding what you need a relatively simple process.
Awesome place! Definitely my favorite place to go in Wilmington! Great prices on car parts. Giant selection of cars. Great staff! They gave me a deal on a really cool steering wheel for my 2 year old car fanatic son! All around awesome place!!
They told me that I would get 400 for my truck if they come get it they take 70 out which made it 330. When I call they change the whole story after getting the truck because I’m out of town. So they only gave me 300, I’m not mad about the 30 it’s about do good business and that’s not good business because I had people that was ready to do business with them and now I have to tell them what happened and they better off selling or keeping there cars and trucks. They great for parts but I will never deal with them on a level of selling my cars or trucks again, but you live and learn.

Rob C was rude and condescending towards us! They DO NOT Honor the 30 day return policy.. they say you have 30 days to return yet when you come back long before the 30 days they have several excuses as to why they can't refund the part!! Rob was trying to double the price when we split it so we could place it on 2 separate credit cards.. little did he know I am very proficient in math and pointed his mathematical error out to him immediately. The next thing I was told was that he must have rang something up twice. Totally ridiculous and incompetent!! They even charge $2 a person to walk in even when your not the one buying stuff nor pulling parts. BEWARE!! Go elsewhere!! There are a lot of other pick and pulls around that have much better customer service and honor their own policies and they don't lie nor try to manipulate the situation and most importantly are not rude and condescending as what we experienced here.. the only good that came of this is that we have taken our business elsewhere.. So beware of this fraudulent establishment! I am sure I will get the general response with thier apologies and encouraged to call the manager Mike.. please don't bother because Mike himself was the one with several excuses as to why we could not return the parts for a refund and identified himself as the manager..
Super organized, and there's a great selection of cars. It's also great that they post the new arrivals on Facebook so I know when something new gets there. There process are a little higher than other yards in the area, but it's well worth it when it's so organized.
Always a huge selection and usually not super over crowded. Even if they don’t have what I’m looking for you can usually find a similar part that works and the prices are super fair. Return policy is good too. I’ve never had an issue here! Highly recommended!
While at Pick n Pull looking for a tire, being my helpful self. I spotted love from above. I never know when I'll see them but it just makes since. Pick n Pull helps people constantly with parts for their vehicles.
As far as salvage yards go this place is excellent. Very competitive pricing, nice staff, and most of all, ORGANIZED! Vehicles are sorted by brand and model type, makes it very easy to minimize lost wandering in the yard. I was also impressed that if a part doesn’t work out, they’ll refund your money with a receipt within 30 days. If you need affordable auto parts go check them out!
Fairly easy to get in and out. Cars aren't exactly where they say they'll be yet can be found in the general location. Prices are great, folks seem to be honest and friendly. I'll definitely be back.
