This is a good old-school parts store. They’ll have everything you need for a classic all the way up to a moderate vehicle and the guy that runs the counter is personable and knowledgeable. A nice change from the box stores. I’ll definitely stop it again if I’m in the area.
I went in to get a state inspection done and it was completed in less than 30 minutes. The gentleman at the front was friendly and kind. He asked if I had just called and I had! I look forward to coming back in.
CHA is a mom and pop business so don't expect what you might be able to get at one of the big box stores. I've used them for 30 years for small things like tire repair, non-engine repair and inspections.

I needed to get an inspection done on my car. I stopped in with no appointment and they were so accommodating and friendly!!! I went back a week later and took my husband’s truck. Will definitely go back!!
They got me in without a wait for a state inspection. I know it can't always be that way, but it was nice that the timing worked out. Also, they held on to my water bottle, and knew exactly what I was talking about when I came back to get it, a week later.
I was looking for a place to get an inspection done. When I first walked in, I was greated by the technician behind the counter. He was very pleasant. He took my keys and registration. I proceeded to look around the store to pass time (they had waiting area with tv available). I was able to stroll through the store once and on my second pass I was told my vehicle was ready. I was really shocked at how fast they were! I was quickly checked out by Amy (she had a customer service card in front of the register with her picture and name on it). She was very friendly and had polite conversation with me. I felt very comfortable while there and absolutely no one tried to up-sale me on anything - which was great! Just an overall pleasant experience!

The people in Castle hayne auto parts are the nicest, friendliest people I love taking my truck up there to get my tires fixed or an inspection they always help me with such curiosity just had my truck inspected and he changed my wipers and was so nice ....
I have been taking my car there for NC State Inspections for the last few years. You will not find a more customer service experience than there! They treat you like family! I have not needed my car serviced because it's only 3 years old but I can promise I'll be taking my car there if it ever needs some work! Local, family and friendly!!
Brought in an old German car to get the alternator belt replaced. Drove the car out and the next day, the belt started squealing and abruptly stopped followed by warning lights flashing in the car and the temperature skyrocketing to well above redline. Pulled the car over and the belt was gone entirely. Put on the old belt myself at 11 PM and began driving home and the exact same thing happened 10 miles down the road. This is an issue that has never occurred with the car until after it had been worked on at Humbles. Got it towed to Castle Hayne Auto Parts/Humbles and they said they don’t work on German cars after having already worked on it and began to just ignore me entirely. Never even considered offering some kind of solution. Never offered a refund or apology and never opened the hood. So I took it there with a simple issue and now they left me with a much larger issue(s) (possible new coolant leak as well) and took no responsibility and showed no care for the customer at all. If you need a car fixed, do NOT take it here. By far my worst mechanic experience in my lifetime.
I had my vehicle towed there with (2) flat tires. It was the closest place. The manager recommended that I should go somewhere else because they didn't stock tires, in case I required replacement. I sincerely appreciated the candor and recommendation.
Renewing yearly car inspections for last 15 years. Excellent service. I moved 1 year ago. I had to renew in Jan 2019 and drove an additional 25 miles because I wanted to see the the family the owners. Had lunch with them. I'll keep returning.

Took my car there to get brakes done called them the next day at 11:00 am the owner said my car was done.When i got there and paid for my car i went to get my car and it wasn't there. The guy who worked on my car who's name is Dave said he let my brother take it home. The problem with that is. Number one is they never called me to ask me if they could give my brother my car because if they did i would have said no. My brother does not have a driver license and he's not on my insurance and when I asked Dave why he gave someone my car he said because he's my brother and if I had a problem to take it up with my brother because if i bring any trouble to the shop he was going to come to my house and cause trouble for me. So I talked to the owner and ask him how they can give my car to someone else and he said that he can't keep a eye on every car that comes in to his shop. And to be threaten my someone that works there that is totally unprofessional and against the law. I have already filed a complaint with the better business bureau and later today i will be talking to the department of justice to what I can do about this situation. And I'm going to call the news station to see if i can get them to investigate the shop. Please don't take your car there.
The only thing I can say is that these people are wonderful people. They are honest, hard working and really get the job done quickly and for a fair price. I've been going to then for a few years and I'll keep on taking my car to them .
