I’m a diabetic, and I had just parked my car briefly to grab something for my blood sugar when this incident occurred. The parking lot was over capacity, so I asked my friend to attend my car while I stepped away for a moment. During that time, the tow truck arrived and tried to claim that my vehicle was unattended, even though my friend was right there.
The driver was extremely rude and told me he didn’t care about my medical condition. He also changed the fee multiple times from $275 to $375, then back to $325 which was very unprofessional.
On top of that, when he rushed to pull off, he damaged my vehicle my bumper is now hanging/disconnected after he dropped my car. And I had to put tape up to seal it down more. This entire experience was unacceptable. I plan to reach out first thing to request a full refund and to report this incident. This business needs to be held accountable for its unprofessional behavior and damage caused.
This is just about money. That's it.
It doesn't matter if you had your car towed unfairly or not.
When you pay the money good luck finding your car outside, no lot numbers, ask, they don't know,
It's really a problem when of job like this is mixed up between a clean and dirty job.

Even though it was an unforeseen occurrence where the vehicle was towed, these guys, the owner Sean in particular, was very NICE! He gave me some great advice to avoid any more mishaps. The price was reasonable. His staff was GREAT!!! Allow them to tow your car!!! Sometimes we have to be REASONABLE, that people are doing their job! When they are good at it, we have to RESPECT THAT! This company is operating under illegal policies. They are towing cars/trucks for no reason! They have damaged my truck and the engine light came on after they towed it. Of course they denied it was their fault. They are price gouging and seek out expensive cars/trucks to tow in order to overcharge the owner!! Do not call them for any services, you will regret it!!
They took my car out of MY own apartment complex and like a thief in the at 12 AM . I asked if the fee can be waved and they had no remorse $275 to get my own car back out of my apartment complex . They guys energy was nasty and cold not a car in the world . They need to go out of business !!! Times are already hard as it is .
Booted my car for no reason, then got an attitude over the phone, next time I will cut the boot off and you can bring that macho man attitude when you come to pick up the scrap metal and we will see how tough you are bc your guy today got real quiet when I was there and not my wife. Bet ya won't boot it again. Please come try though
I realize not many people are going to give a tow place a good review. I did want to recognize them for doing the right thing though. They towed my daughters car and broke the side view mirror. When we picked it up they were apologetic and ordered a mirror to replace it and took care of getting it installed. High marks for integrity and I appreciate them doing the right thing.

This place needs to be shut down, the amount of money they charge is beyond ridiculous, it appears as if they are towing cars on purpose and charging people outrageous fees knowing people have no other choice but to pay to get their cars! Somebody needs to investigate this so called business!!!!!!!
This “business” Is not even deserving of the 1 star. They are COMPLETE crooks. Staff is rude. Prices are ridiculous, and their Reasons for towing are not valid. My car was damaged during a tow. My visitor parking pass was valid and no one can give me a straightforward answer on why my car was towed. The only thing they said to me was that it looked altered. Which it was not. I was charged a storage fee when my car was in the lot less than 10 minutes literally. And let’s not mention the fact that they have towed my car over five times and each time the price was different. Yes at this point I am feeling targeted
Towed my car even tho it was broken down and I couldn’t move it for 2 days , then charged me 1,300$ to get my car back or a 50$ “ clean out fee “ to get my belongings out the car ….whole place is a scam

through hoops to get my car while dealing with my own medical issues but also my family, I had a lot going on already and for her to verbatim say don’t put it through until I say so and then comes to the front to agitate me, I said in front of the law enforcement officer, I do not feel safe speaking to her, (i’ve already been having frequent panic attacks since the accident) and she decided this was the perfect time to flex her power THREE BLACK MEN stood in there and just turned their head she kept repeating I’m their boss so YOU have to answer to me because she wanted me to repeat what I had already communicated not only to him but her as well, so while I was shaking and she was standing behind someone else’s work desk after going out her way to stop the transaction she asks me the “important”question how will you be getting the car off the lot? like there’s an option to fly it mind you I mentioned on the phone I might need to get a jump because it’s been sitting for the entirety of how long it took us to solve this, she stood harassing me saying i’ll ban if you don’t speak to me and i didn’t have an option because I just wanted my car, they have lied I’ve recorded them telling me I had 30 days initially and then telling my complex i didn’t call until 9 days which is blatantly false. This black owned company is in the habit of misusing the police force, and throwing rocks and hiding hands, as someone who was born and raised in charlotte, I know our people never in my life have I met someone from here talk like that and be that way but lately with all the transplanting people have lost their mind. I myself will not let this go at all.
This company charges such an excessive fee that it borders on theft ($400 to tow a sedan 5 miles? Give me a break). The staff is pretty rude and doesn’t do a great job of keeping track of the cars they tow, so no matter the weather or time of day, you will inevitably have to spend 5 or 10 min hunting for it at their facility. They also have no seating area inside, and use that as an excuse to allow only 1 individual inside at a time, even in the middle of the night. Not safe. I need two hands to count the number of folks I know who have had terrible experiences with these guys even relative to other towing companies (because it’s never a fun time, but these guys are borderline criminal). They have a reputation for irresponsible and predatory behavior. Ask your apartment complex what towing company they use. If it’s this one, rent somewhere else. It’s not worth it.

1. My truck was illegally towed from a parking spot.
2. They caused damage during the towed.
I only knew my truck was getting towed because the camera on my truck was alerted and notified my phone when the tow driver slammed on brakes at the light on graham street. Upon investigation I figured out where my truck was. Needless to say that when I arrived no one knew anything until I showed them where they had damaged the rear airbag suspension and bent the rear light casing. This is a careless and lazy company, or maybe its just the employees. Either way...stay away from them.
These people charged my friend 1600.00 to go 7 miles lied about what truck they used to tow the vehicle then began to become racist towards is when we caught them in a lie they were hostile condescending and should have their license to operate removed also they claim to give veterans a discount then back out of that to just horrible people
I would give this place negative five stars if I could. $280 to get my friend's car, no payment plan, increases $35 the next day, increases to $500 the next week
Reporting this company to the BBB for fraud!! They will charge you an excessive amount and not provide a receipt. This is a terrible company that needs to be closed down.
One of the worst, unprofessional company I have seen. I live in an apartment complex where you need a permit to park, but if you have a handicap sticker and you are parked in a handicap spot, a tow company can not tow your car. Well this company have towed my car twice for the same reason. Each time I have called after speaking with the apartment complex and the owner, they just tell me to come get my car no charge. It’s a big inconvenience and time consuming trying to get a ride to go get my car, not to mention gas money. Each time this company has been rude, and very unprofessional about it when I have picked up my car. I get everyone has a job and if I did something wrong, I would take accountability but each time, I was not wrong and this company had no compassion of me being late to work . This is a bad look for the apartment complex, who wants to pay your rent then have to pay $300 every time the tow company feel they need a few dollars off someone already struggling. Customer service goes a long way, which this company has non of. I would not recommend you contract this company for your apartment tows, it will hurt your business.
My second car, that I just bought for my teen was towed at the apt complex Beverly Crest that I currently live in. It did not have a sticker, as once I bought the car and asked for a second sticker, they said I’d gave to apply for it, pay fee (75-100$) and wait till they decide on it. At the moment the only option I had was to use visitor spots. Availability of the visitor spots are limited to 6. Which is not even close to how many cars may need it just for the lease holders (even for the 2nd car in the family). And those lots are constantly occupied. That’s the reason I had to park my old cheap car at the residential parking lot to my first car. Done this just for 2-3 times the most (not by wish, but no other options). It was towed at night, in the morning I was already in the office of this towing company trying to explain whole situation, but definitely no comprehension, just money.
They charged me 285$ even it was several hours, not even 10 hours. Screwing people is their goal… Most Disgusting experience I’ve ever had. I wish I could put 0, instead of 1 star as it’s too much for them.
They took my car illegally from my home, claiming that my handicap tag was expired when it plainly 3/30. When I asked the manager said it looked fake. They told me to call the police, police then confirmed that my tag was active. They tried to make me come to them to pick up my car after they acknowledged they towed my car by mistake.
This company broke me.
Dealing with this towing company has been one of the lowest points of my life. Their cruel, predatory practices left me feeling utterly hopeless, overwhelmed, and defeated. I never imagined a business could take advantage of people so blatantly and care so little about the suffering they cause.
The stress, anxiety, and sense of powerlessness I experienced at their hands genuinely made me question if things would ever get better. I felt crushed and like giving up entirely, all because of their greed and lack of compassion. It’s hard to put into words just how much this ordeal damaged my peace of mind and well-being.
No one deserves to be put through this. I urge everyone: please avoid this company if you value your mental health and basic human decency.
I was picking up an order for Delivery at Swirl (2822 South Blvd, Charlotte, 28209) I did park in a no parking zone as I didn't see any free parking considering I was working. I had my hazard lights on. I was in the store less than 10 mins and my vehicle was gone. The issue that I have is the price on the sign for towing was $120 that Preferred parking had but SL Recovery told me it would be $283 to get my vehicle back.
This business is not accredited by BBB for a reason. Unprofessional, rude, and two-faced “assistant manager” as she described herself, apparently there is no seating area, they make sure to send you out in the cold or stand in their office as they don’t allow their victims to “sit on company furniture” in her words. They stole my broken down car (and all but $10 to my name) away from the towing company I authorized to have it picked up and towed to my home safely and efficiently. I had to go 5 miles out of my way to get my car back to the same area where it broke down and they didn’t even have it for 2 hours. They are predatory tow-ers and rip off criminals. Video evidence of the theft will be posted at a later time.
This company closed their lot gate on my roommate's company vehicle as I was pulling out of the lot and proceeded to blame it on me, even though the gate had come to a complete stop with plenty of space to leave. There is no light indicating that it was not safe to go forward, nor did the front desk employee tell me to wait for the gate to fully open. If a vehicle is in front of the gate, the sensor should stop it from closing and it did not. Will be hearing from the insurance company and the Better Business Bureau.
This place towed my sister car while we was at our business working and was very rude and charged us $374 but said they will take $325 in cash. This place is a rip off and needs to be shut down. This is highway robbery what they are doing. I sat in their parking lot while waiting on my sister car and seen them tow 10 cars included $30 minutes.
My daughter got her car towed when she was parked inside an apartment complex that was a gated parking area that only allowed FOBS for entry. They somehow got in and towed her car anyway. Then they would not let her go inside to retrieve her car with anyone else, but herself. It was in the middle of the night. She was very frightened and it was an unprofessional place with scary people working there. They also charge an inordinate amount. If any apartment complex decides to use this towing service, I suggest you reconsider.
Place needs to be shut down, Tall black man threating to kill and shoot people. Very unprofessional. Charging $350 for parking in front of my own home and towing is insane. They are money hungry, Hope this place gets shut down. I wasn’t even parked in the street.
It’s companies like this that makes me lose faith in humanity. The lack of common sense and judgment is utterly staggering. They have agreed to tow cars in places where there are no “ no parking” signs. These people don’t deserve to be in business and the terms they make you sign to when they release your car is heinous. The people who own this company, and who agreed to be employed by them should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
This company is not even deserving for even a star. They charge me $125 dollar extra for towing car and in community it just says maximum penalty is $250. They were rude and after explaining me twice and said to get out. Plus they didn’t even inform my community or me before towing because generally they should email our community.
WORST TOWING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! This place towed my car from my apartments (annoying but my fault for not registering my new car what ever) & after picking it up I immediately noticed it was not driving right. This car is brand new. I drove straight to the dealership service department to get what I assumed would just be an alignment. Wrong. Which ever genius towed my car bent my tie rod in the process. With parts and labor this is going to cost me over $800 to fix. Not to mention the $280 I paid to get it out of the tow yard. When I called SL I was told there is nothing they can do about it because I signed their stupid little “we’re not liable for the damage we do to your vehicle” paper basically. Once I drive away they just aren’t responsible for anything. Obviously I would have to drive the vehicle to notice my steering being off. I wasn’t just going to know to check my tie rod & make sure it wasn’t bent before signing that paper & driving away. Now I know. Towing a parked car that you do not have the key to can most definitely bend a tie rod. For SL to email me back saying “it cannot be assumed that the damage was at the fault of SL” is a whole bunch of bull. I feel for all the people this has happened to and all the people that this will continue to happen to.
