Falsely towed a vehicle and then charged $275 plus taxes and fees to recover vehicle from parking lot time to open up an investigation on this scamming tow company!
The employee during the night shift on 02/08 was extremely rude. I had to tell him to calm down because he was very agitated when I was politely asking questions, such as for an explanation of the fee, the time of the towing, and why my car had scratches, etc. They told me to reach out to the manager in the morning and avoided giving me his name.
In the morning, I called again. The tone of the person on the phone was more professional, but she denied sending me the ticket, record of the time of the towing and provided contradictory information compared to her coworker from the night shift. She also contradicted herself during the call. I asked to speak with the manager; he was not available, and when I asked for an email address to address my concerns, they told me they were unable to provide one. I let her know that I was filing a complaint with the Attorney General since they were unable to provide me any assistance, and she told me that in that case she was not able to continue speaking with me.
I do believe that after paying $330, I deserve some amount of customer service or the due documentation that determine why I have to pay, not only a receipt.
Great service. My fault for the truck getting towed. I was unable to make it back in time due to my flight being delayed. They worked with me on my price due to the inconvenience.
Very rude customer service staff and claim that drivers of the tow truck come by my apartment complex nightly and I parked in the same spot for about 3 months straight and never got my car towed until of course I go out to find my car missing. How are y'all claiming to be there every night and that "I must've gotten lucky" when I parked in an area where there was not a sign claiming I couldn't? The person on the other end of the phone also kept claiming I parked "in the middle of the road". I did not and he told me he had pictures to prove it. To prove I wasn't parked in the middle of the road?! Anyways, this place is a JOKE and so are the people that work there. Predatory towing should be ILLEGAL in Charlotte point blank period, and I'm furious that it isn't.
Due to pure accident my vehicle got towed from a student apartment spot that used to be a visitor parking spot but is no longer. I find it absolutely insane that they are charging COLLEGE STUDENTS from a COLLEGE APARTMENT $300 to get their car out. Not to mention, the company is right outside of UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, far from UNCC, and we are given 24 hours to come up with that lump sum of money. The guy who answered the phone was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude when I asked if they towed my vehicle, despite my efforts of being kind to him. He was snappy, rushed to get off the phone, and barely gave me any information. It is unfortunate and selfish that NC laws allow these extremely unpleasant and rude individuals to charge an arm and a leg, especially from people that they know do not have that kind of money.
Get ready to pay disgusting money, $325 an extra $50 (for a special dolly) to tow my vehicle, it’s disgusting charging this amount for towing a vehicle for a few hours. They should be ashamed of themselves. People work hard for their money and charging this amount is absurd!
This company's just stole my car. I called the police.They said that I had to file the claim. in small claims because in my apartment complex, the leashing office says that parking is first come. First served basis my mom is disable in the parking lot is always full. The towing service claimed the handicapped sticker was out of date meanwhile if that's the case. The handicapped parking states it could be a 250.00 for parking in the handicapped, it doesn't say anything about your car getting towed and even if the handicapped sticker was expired does not mean it did not have a handicapped sticker sitting right there in the front of the car on the dash in the window and the only one that actually, give you a ticket would be the police department, not the towing service. They don't have a right?And the police department said that the towing company claimed that the apartment complex said tow the car meanwhile they are closed not to mention. Their parking policy is first come first served basis so what gives this company the right?They need to be sued over and over again until they stop being money.Hungry and towing people cars for nothing
This is not a normal towing company. Illegal tow for “expired plate” while registration was still valid. They will always cite the “nobody likes getting” towed nonsense to keep their BBB rating intact. If you are illegally towed please report it and do not stop refuting their laughable defense for the tow.
shady and rude! if i could leave 0 stars i would. that’s why your rating is 1 star overall. came in through the residents only gate because the gate is broke and stays open but the visitor gate, you have to be allowed in which i know they werent at 2 am when they came! sooo is that even legal? they have to have cops and a barbed wire fence because they know what they’re doing is wrong. took my friends car at 2 am from our own apartment, only let her go inside alone, and charged $275 cash or $325 card to get it out. merry christmas to us i guess? they also towed someones full uhaul, heard stuff slamming around in there and probably broke everything inside with it being tilted like that. how crappy of a person do you have to be?
I was towed from gas parking at my best friends’s apartment complex where I’ve had no issues and I was there for an hour. Then I had to pay over $300 during Christmas season to get my car back
Illegally towed my car. Then, I go to get my car and it’s damaged. I go to the front desk and ask about it and they say they have no idea what I’m talking about. 1 week later my car is stolen out of my driveway with no explanation. As shady as a company as you can get.
Im'ma VA disabled combat veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan. Come out to find my truck towed. I'd forgot to hang sign. Ask if they checked the plate? "nope we don't do that", big business sticker on side of my truck with my phone#, did you call the number? "nope we dont do that", I'm a disabled veteran, "uh $20 discount from a $600" tow fee. So good to be back in the USA.
Absolute scammers. A completely crooked company. Towed my work truck from my apartment even though I have proof that I’m supposed to park there. Refused to hear my reasonings and still towed my vehicle with proof. They’re money hungry bums looking for their quickest dollar.
I’m a diabetic, and I had just parked my car briefly to grab something for my blood sugar when this incident occurred. The parking lot was over capacity, so I asked my friend to attend my car while I stepped away for a moment. During that time, the tow truck arrived and tried to claim that my vehicle was unattended, even though my friend was right there. The driver was extremely rude and told me he didn’t care about my medical condition. He also changed the fee multiple times from $275 to $375, then back to $325 which was very unprofessional. On top of that, when he rushed to pull off, he damaged my vehicle my bumper is now hanging/disconnected after he dropped my car. And I had to put tape up to seal it down more. This entire experience was unacceptable. I plan to reach out first thing to request a full refund and to report this incident. This business needs to be held accountable for its unprofessional behavior and damage caused.
This is just about money. That's it. It doesn't matter if you had your car towed unfairly or not. When you pay the money good luck finding your car outside, no lot numbers, ask, they don't know,

Even though it was an unforeseen occurrence where the vehicle was towed, these guys, the owner Sean in particular, was very NICE! He gave me some great advice to avoid any more mishaps. The price was reasonable. His staff was GREAT!!! Allow them to tow your car!!! Sometimes we have to be REASONABLE, that people are doing their job! When they are good at it, we have to RESPECT THAT! Good job guys. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This company is operating under illegal policies. They are towing cars/trucks for no reason! They have damaged my truck and the engine light came on after they towed it. Of course they denied it was their fault. They are price gouging and seek out expensive cars/trucks to tow in order to overcharge the owner!! Do not call them for any services, you will regret it!!
They took my car out of MY own apartment complex and like a thief in the at 12 AM . I asked if the fee can be waved and they had no remorse $275 to get my own car back out of my apartment complex . They guys energy was nasty and cold not a car in the world . They need to go out of business !!! Times are already hard as it is .
Booted my car for no reason, then got an attitude over the phone, next time I will cut the boot off and you can bring that macho man attitude when you come to pick up the scrap metal and we will see how tough you are bc your guy today got real quiet when I was there and not my wife. Bet ya won't boot it again. Please come try though
I realize not many people are going to give a tow place a good review. I did want to recognize them for doing the right thing though. They towed my daughters car and broke the side view mirror. When we picked it up they were apologetic and ordered a mirror to replace it and took care of getting it installed. High marks for integrity and I appreciate them doing the right thing.
This place needs to be shut down, the amount of money they charge is beyond ridiculous, it appears as if they are towing cars on purpose and charging people outrageous fees knowing people have no other choice but to pay to get their cars! Somebody needs to investigate this so called business!!!!!!!
This “business” Is not even deserving of the 1 star. They are COMPLETE crooks. Staff is rude. Prices are ridiculous, and their Reasons for towing are not valid. My car was damaged during a tow. My visitor parking pass was valid and no one can give me a straightforward answer on why my car was towed. The only thing they said to me was that it looked altered. Which it was not. I was charged a storage fee when my car was in the lot less than 10 minutes literally. And let’s not mention the fact that they have towed my car over five times and each time the price was different. Yes at this point I am feeling targeted
I will absolutely be contacting the owner and anyone else and I promise I will see about you whoever the hijabi office manager was. She neglected to help me on the phone and when I was to be honest it broke my heart I was raised Muslim my whole life and the disappointment I feel is palpable. She threatened to ban me after I had to jump through hoops to get my car while dealing with my own medical issues but also my family, I had a lot going on already and for her to verbatim say don’t put it through until I say so and then comes to the front to agitate me, I said in front of the law enforcement officer, I do not feel safe speaking to her, (i’ve already been having frequent panic attacks since the accident) and she decided this was the perfect time to flex her power THREE BLACK MEN stood in there and just turned their head she kept repeating I’m their boss so YOU have to answer to me because she wanted me to repeat what I had already communicated not only to him but her as well, so while I was shaking and she was standing behind someone else’s work desk after going out her way to stop the transaction she asks me the “important”question how will you be getting the car off the lot? like there’s an option to fly it mind you I mentioned on the phone I might need to get a jump because it’s been sitting for the entirety of how long it took us to solve this, she stood harassing me saying i’ll ban if you don’t speak to me and i didn’t have an option because I just wanted my car, they have lied I’ve recorded them telling me I had 30 days initially and then telling my complex i didn’t call until 9 days which is blatantly false. This black owned company is in the habit of misusing the police force, and throwing rocks and hiding hands, as someone who was born and raised in charlotte, I know our people never in my life have I met someone from here talk like that and be that way but lately with all the transplanting people have lost their mind. I myself will not let this go at all.
This company charges such an excessive fee that it borders on theft ($400 to tow a sedan 5 miles? Give me a break). The staff is pretty rude and doesn’t do a great job of keeping track of the cars they tow, so no matter the weather or time of day, you will inevitably have to spend 5 or 10 min hunting for it at their facility. They also have no seating area inside, and use that as an excuse to allow only 1 individual inside at a time, even in the middle of the night. Not safe. I need two hands to count the number of folks I know who have had terrible experiences with these guys even relative to other towing companies (because it’s never a fun time, but these guys are borderline criminal). They have a reputation for irresponsible and predatory behavior. Ask your apartment complex what towing company they use. If it’s this one, rent somewhere else. It’s not worth it.
BE AWARE!! This place isn't knowledgeable enough to tow 18 wheelers. 1. My truck was illegally towed from a parking spot. 2. They caused damage during the towed.
I only knew my truck was getting towed because the camera on my truck was alerted and notified my phone when the tow driver slammed on brakes at the light on graham street. Upon investigation I figured out where my truck was. Needless to say that when I arrived no one knew anything until I showed them where they had damaged the rear airbag suspension and bent the rear light casing. This is a careless and lazy company, or maybe its just the employees. Either way...stay away from them.
One of the worst, unprofessional company I have seen. I live in an apartment complex where you need a permit to park, but if you have a handicap sticker and you are parked in a handicap spot, a tow company can not tow your car. Well this company have towed my car twice for the same reason. Each time I have called after speaking with the apartment complex and the owner, they just tell me to come get my car no charge. It’s a big inconvenience and time consuming trying to get a ride to go get my car, not to mention gas money. Each time this company has been rude, and very unprofessional about it when I have picked up my car. I get everyone has a job and if I did something wrong, I would take accountability but each time, I was not wrong and this company had no compassion of me being late to work . This is a bad look for the apartment complex, who wants to pay your rent then have to pay $300 every time the tow company feel they need a few dollars off someone already struggling. Customer service goes a long way, which this company has non of. I would not recommend you contract this company for your apartment tows, it will hurt your business.
This place towed my sister car while we was at our business working and was very rude and charged us $374 but said they will take $325 in cash. This place is a rip off and needs to be shut down. This is highway robbery what they are doing. I sat in their parking lot while waiting on my sister car and seen them tow 10 cars included $30 minutes.
It’s companies like this that makes me lose faith in humanity. The lack of common sense and judgment is utterly staggering. They have agreed to tow cars in places where there are no “ no parking” signs. These people don’t deserve to be in business and the terms they make you sign to when they release your car is heinous. The people who own this company, and who agreed to be employed by them should be utterly ashamed of themselves.
This company is not even deserving for even a star. They charge me $125 dollar extra for towing car and in community it just says maximum penalty is $250. They were rude and after explaining me twice and said to get out. Plus they didn’t even inform my community or me before towing because generally they should email our community.
WORST TOWING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! This place towed my car from my apartments (annoying but my fault for not registering my new car what ever) & after picking it up I immediately noticed it was not driving right. This car is brand new. I drove straight to the dealership service department to get what I assumed would just be an alignment. Wrong. Which ever genius towed my car bent my tie rod in the process. With parts and labor this is going to cost me over $800 to fix. Not to mention the $280 I paid to get it out of the tow yard. When I called SL I was told there is nothing they can do about it because I signed their stupid little “we’re not liable for the damage we do to your vehicle” paper basically. Once I drive away they just aren’t responsible for anything. Obviously I would have to drive the vehicle to notice my steering being off. I wasn’t just going to know to check my tie rod & make sure it wasn’t bent before signing that paper & driving away. Now I know. Towing a parked car that you do not have the key to can most definitely bend a tie rod. For SL to email me back saying “it cannot be assumed that the damage was at the fault of SL” is a whole bunch of bull. I feel for all the people this has happened to and all the people that this will continue to happen to.
