I rarely write reviews, but this towing company absolutely earned it. My car charging port was bad, and the battery I had in my car couldn’t take me to a repair shop. From the moment I called, the representative was very professional, and patient with me. The dispatcher kept me updated the whole time, and the driver showed up earlier than expected.
Mr Ray handled my car with real care, explained everything clearly, and made a stressful situation feel surprisingly manageable. You can tell they actually take pride in their work and treat people with respect.

The people are scammer they stole my title out of my car and they left some of my property and title which were inside the vehicle .on top of that the driver dropped me my 2 kids and husband off in an unknown location left us there and claimed he was coming back multiple hours went buy and he never returned!he took 5 hrs to get to me in the first place.if you value your safety,time and possessions run from this company and run far
He scammed me after taking my money for a brand new alternator. He brought me and use one which still gave me a lot more problems. Never gave me a recipe for my part. He lies a lot and never keep appointment time. Plz stay away from this guy. He is disrespectful even to his worker. He doesn’t deserve to do business STAY AWAY PLZ
Would leave zero stars if possible! My friend’s tire fell off her car on the highway, tow truck driver had us all sit in the car WHILE it was being towed. He brought us to a closed auto shop and charged us over 300 dollars to let her car off the truck- the owner refused to take us to an open business. TLDR if you value your time and money avoid this company like the plague!
Responding to owner: You quoted us a maximum of $200 and put the wrong lugnuts on her car. THEN your driver insisted on following us to Mavis instead of just towing her obviously indisposed car. I truly believe you never intended on being helpful or fair.

At first I thought he was being very helpful but it was just so he could scam out me of 1200 . He told me he could fix the problem I had with my car . He advises me not to just go to the dealer , and said he could fix it , the problem was never fixed he just made it to where the car would still drive and the same problem kept happening after I paid him 1200 if I could give 0 starts I could
Driving home from dinner I ran over something metal on South Tryon. It was already late in the evening, so I made several calls the next morning and it wasn’t until I called Ray Harris’s towing that I found the company I wanted to give my business to. They answered the phone professionally, and I had all the confidence in the world that they would get the job done efficiently, and I was right. I have zero complaints about the service provided because it was top-tier from beginning to end. Hopefully, I won’t need a tow in the future, but if I do, they will be my first contact.

I had an amazing experience with Ray Harris tow company I was far from where my car was located and couldn’t be there in person, but they still went out of their way to help. They offered to go pick up my car 4’me and even represent me to get it released , all for less than a grand !! Most tow companies were either trying to upcharge or not even pick up the car and within less than a day! The whole process was quick, smooth, and stress-free. Their professionalism, communication, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. If you ever find yourself in a bind, I highly recommend calling Ray Harris tow company, they truly care and get the job done right and would 100% call them again !
Great place - had to get a Super Duty towed to DMV for rebuild inspection. Ray ran into some scheduling issues but the way it was handled was very professional and we got the job done.
I was pleased with the experience. My motorcycle needed to be taken to a local shop. Reached out to a number of companies. Ray was able to get to me within 90 minutes and completed the service for a fair amount. He was personable and professional in all regards and seemed to have taken care of my bike. I'd highly recommend the company for your towing needs. Hell definitely be my go to should services be needed in the future.

Initially scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 2:30pm. Without any communication the driver proceeded to not show up until 7:30 to pick up my car. Upon dropping it off, he proceeded to add an additional $10 fee to price, tried to hurry me up to pay it stating they had other calls to get to. And did not sit my car down literally until I paid. Yet made me wait over 5 hours for them to show up.
Never apologized, or notified me that he would be running behind. Proceeded to call me with an attitude asking what was wrong with the price, and once I stated it’s not what I was initially quoted he replied stating that he shouldn’t have to explain that there would be tax, etc. I was not provided with any pick up instructions, or details, nor was this tax mentioned.
The tow driver also wreaked of an illegal substance, so I guess the driver towed my car under the influence also. In most situations like this, the owner at least apologizes, or offers a discount. He did neither. He just maintained the same attitude as if I was inconveniencing him.
Overall, unprofessional, and stressful experience.
I had a wheel come off my car and snap the studs. I called him up to have my car showed from one shop that couldn’t service my car, to a shop that could fix it. After getting all the information, and learning exactly what was wrong, Mr. Ray offered to fix it himself and save me a little money on the repair, which he did and in the time frame he gave me. Gave me a thorough update of the process accompanied with pictures. I’ll definitely be saving his number should I need a tow or any other repairs done!
These guys are awesome! They were the only tow company to pick up the phone and they did a great job! Reliable and dependable! I will be calling them anytime I run into a situation where I need a tow truck again
Early morning alternator issue made my truck die on worst part of 485 S spent an hour calling places that use Indian dispatchers who I couldn’t understand properly and gave me multiple hour wait times. Called this gentleman and he was there in under 1 hour and was the absolute lowest price available. Dude was personable and polite and extremely helpful. I now have a new tow guy when I have issues in Charlotte. Call these people for sure
Had an amazing experience with them after my insurance failed to provide me with a timely tow truck as we were stranded on the side of the highway. They were incredibly supportive and helpful, even driving us to multiple service centers after we couldn’t get our specific tires at the first place. Arrived on time given to Mr. Charles took extra time to ensure my front tires would not drag while driving. Charles very pleasant with easy conversation while driving to dealership. Gave to for the excellent care of my car.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE and potentially scammer. Other negative reviews are true!! The person's name we spoke to is Johnathan Ray, Jr (we later found this out). This review is based on asking for an invoice and paying for the service in cash due to encountering errors from Johnathan's Cash app and Apple pay. Initially, my family used his service to tow their car due to the car running hot. His driver arrived within a decent time, was friendly, and transported the car for $235 from Charlotte, NC to Lincolnton, NC. The story worsens once Johnathan states he is a mechanic and is able to fix the issue with the car. He was friendly throughout the process and actually fixed the car within the window of time agreed upon. His behavior changed after we asked Johnathan to provide an invoice regarding the parts that were repaired. All mechanics procure a receipt of parts and with parts' numbers especially when the parts are under warranty. Johnathan insinuated we will receive everything after paying him only using Cash app or Apple pay. We were hesitant at this and in turn wanted to meet with him in-person first, see the car, and then pay him. Johnathan would not listen to our request, rudely yelled at one of my female family members, and actually tried to belittle her. To cut down on the confusion, my family and I attempted to pay him, per his request, and both platforms prevented the payment after we attempted several times and we have evidence. His method of payment was flagged in both Cash app and Apple pay as fraudulent and a scam. Johnathan's demeanor and attitude became combative, argumentative, and disrespectful. He attempted to talk fast, try to use terms to confuse my family and imply that we did not comprehend his "simple instructions", and he wanted to share his life story about being married with an one-year old child that he has to take care of and if he does not show up to his home on time, then he is not a man of his word. Sir, we do not care about your obligation to your family. We are focused on resolving the problem of your payment methods flagging in order to pay for a service and retrieve our property. Johnathan continued to be combative about not accepting cash and stating, "I do not accept large sums of cash. I don't drive to my shop unless I am paid". He lives in Charlotte, NC while he was supposedly working on the car in Lincolnton, NC. However, we later identified that he moved the car from Lincolnton without notifying us and had to bring it back after we got the Lincolnton County law enforcement involved. Yes. We had to file a police report and get them involved. After law enforcement called and spoke to him, Johnathan set the time and date for my family to get the car. My family arrived earlier than the meeting time and saw them pulling the car in. They were not aware that my family arrived early. This is how we realized the car was not on the premises. Instead of Johnathan showing up to retrieve the payment, he sends one of his drivers (of his towing company) to meet us at the gate to exchange the money for the car. Johnathan stated he did not trust his drivers to accept cash, initially. We retrieved our car with law enforcement present who witnessed us giving the driver money. We drove our car away. Side note: we believe he thought he was going to keep our car and then sell it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We didn't get a receipt!!!
Take heed to this warning: He has no respect for women customers. He WILL NOT provide you with a receipt. He is unruly, rude, combative, and demeaning. He exhibits traits of a person with narcissism. If he replies to this comment, he will attempt to put out a lavish story and try to paint the picture that he did nothing wrong and we would come off as being unwilling to "make things simple and not comply" to his request. Johnathan, when you read this, this is my only response to you...you WILL reap what you sow AND I pray that you learn to treat people with respect and stop trying to scam people.
After calling several companies looking for assistance and getting nowhere I came across Mr. Harris and he was out and had me taken care of in less than an hour. He was very friendly and professional. I don’t usually reviews but he definitely came through in my time of need. If you want fast friendly professional service I would highly recommend reaching out to this company
Positive side answered after hours, and negative parts is, over the phone said eta is 30-35 min and they showed up 2 hours later. Smaller size truck to tow Semi. Broke our headlight and bumper while towing the truck and blaming on the driver. They require payment up front, no invoice nothing. During towing process impossible to communicate getting totally different attitude. Once they dropped off truck they didnt put brakes together and just left it like that.
If only everyone in the tow industry could be this fair honest and punctual. When you need a tow truck, you need these guys…a company that delivers what you need…you don’t want to roll the dice and find out if the other guys are going to jerk you around…just call Ray Harris first.
Ray was very personable and professional. When he arrived to tow my car he did a quick diagnosis and knew that my starter needed to be replaced and instead of me having the vehicle towed to the mechanic that I had already arranged for my car to be dropped off at and having to wait for a couple of days for them to replace the starter, Ray recommended a service car center that he knew that he trusted that could replace the starter the same day. So I had it towed to this location, and they were able to replace the starter the same day and within three hours. Because of this, I was back on the road to conduct my business. Thank you Ray for that and my vehicle is running great to this day. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RAY AND WILL SEEK OUT HIS PROFESSIONAL SERVICE IN THE FUTURE.

Fast affordable and professional service will call again when in need of help had a flat tire with no spare on a Sunday night he took my car to a tire shop and changed the flat tire and I picked car up bright early morning with no problems
