Waited 4 hours for them to come tow my car. The man takes my car to their facility to lock up over night since my dealership has a locked gate. I was told my car would be delivered to the dealership at 10 am the next morning. It’s 10:30, I call A1 towing to ensure my car was taken to the right place and they ensured it was. I then call the dealership and they state my car isn’t on their lot. My husband then calls A1 back and was told “listen buddy your car was delivered”. A few minutes later we get a call back from a man apologizing because they didn’t realize my car was at their other location. My car finally makes it to the dealership just for the tow man to call and ask us for the keys which we left in the possession of the man from the night before. Unprofessional company, nobody is on the same page. Still unable to find my keys. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would.
THis business is owned by the worst kind of people they take advantage of the weak and low income people. I just read the owner is in some legal problems not associated with towing.
What happens when you try tow my car if I catch you I assure you they're will be no tow. When I find who towed it I will show up and demand my car if not and I willl try to make your business and drivers awful. I will get a throw away and ring the phone constantly, call for bogus wrecker and try to get the home address.
Worst experience ever. 1st they did not even have their own logo on the truck or license plates that came to service my vehicle I called the company listed on their truck and they said they sold the truck to them they just dint get it painted or decals for soo long I guess soo people can't complain of their high statististical risk . 2nd they damaged the subframe of my vehicle. 3rd destroyed my driveway, trying to get unstuck with their hydraulics (my foot is where the wheel kept spinning) The patch repair that i had done. 4th damaged my vehicle the bumper. 5th did not park on the grass infront of my house when I asked. The driver was confrontational about it. Lied saying it all existed before the damage when I have pictures of the asphalt all over the place at the time of the incident. Just pay $10 bucks more for another place to tow your vehicle. This company cuts corners. Extra money paid somewhere else is worth the hassle!!!! Fake company trying to avoid bad reviews. Triple aaa sent them for a service call!!! Every company has good drivers but they have bad drivers who work there clearly!
Im not sure how any of this works from a business standpoint. However, if you have a service that you charter, it seems like good business practice to communicate with the client. These people don’t seem to get that premise, I assume they must have been yelled at and cussed at by a lot of people. I was very nice to them and they hung up on me 3 times for no reason. I’m usually not nice, so they must be going through a lot. I’m the end, this is not a good business and I am actually happy that they reneged on my tow and left me stranded because at least now my car will be handled by someone who is at least slightly more qualified and professional
My husband and I were stuck in the middle of the highway (I-85) because our trailer had TWO blown tires. We called AAA and they were no help. We called other tow trucks to help us to at least left the trailer enough so we can put the spare tires we had and get back on the road. Needless to say no other towing company was willing to come out and help us. When I got in contact with this company which I am writing the review for he was nice pleasant and got there within 30 minutes. He even helped my husband put on one of the tires while he worked on the other so we can get out of there faster. Reasonable pricing for an emergency service as well. True Lifesavers can’t thank you enough!
Ohhh and sidenote, it was like 2:30 in the morning! Lol
This place is sooo crooked and Charlotte will not do anything about it. They backed into my truck during pickup causing major damage and I had to get channel 9 to recive part of the money

The man that answered the phone raised his voice at me three times and sadly Verizon roadside recommended this company.
I was driving in the right lane and the driver almost ran me into another car passing me on the left because he decided to use the exit lane to pass me. He veered into my lane abruptly and I had to slam on my breaks and swerve, in the rain, to avoid an accident. The right headlight was also out. Under no circumstances would I trust this company with my vehicle.
We called hoping for a quick tow to the dealership without having to worry about a long ETA. Sam was quick to arrive and fast to hook up. Very friendly to boot! Isn't that exactly what you look for in a tow company? An overall amazing experience from first call to drop off. I absolutely recommend A1 Towing. I will be using them in the future for our company. Getting my Truck back with damage caused by the tow of my vehicle, Sam- the owner - nicely said that he would have it promptly taken care of for me.
Over 2 weeks and 5 unanswered messages later and this company has gone silent.
Will have to look into small claims, AAA customer service or local media for help.

We had an axle break on a 14' box trailer on rt 85. They were the only tow company that would help us and we called about 8 before finding this company. They were there fast and allowed us to stay in our rv at their business lot to await a mobile mechanic. So grateful we found them.
He was a very nice gentlemen. And whenever I called he would come help me. Very nice young man . He helped me so I wouldn't of been stranded and has very nice prices. I am on a set limit every month and he went above and beyond to help me . Thanks

I needed towing to a car repair shop. The driver went above and beyond for me! I had originally told him to take my car to one repair shop, but when we got there it was cash only. He called a repair shop he knew up the street and they got me in. He made me feel very comfortable. He was very prompt in picking me up initially too.
Been sitting on interstate 2 hours if you are behind or you can't do it say so but saying 5 mins away for an hour and a half called 5 times in last hour how about being honest. Worst experience ever hope you go under so noone else experiences this horrible service
...my starter gave out on me @ the worst possible time. Dispatch was friendly & quick. They came & towed my car out of a crowded Target Parking deck, on a Sunday, in the rain & Made it seem like child's play. Got it to my destination without any issues. To top it off, the price was IMMACULATE in contrast to other companies. I don't look to request for a tow often in the near future, but they'll definitely be my 1st choice going forward.
Very surprised with some of these reviews because everything about my experience with this company was great from the initial phone call to the dropping off of my vehicle at my home. The man who answered the phone who I believe to be the owner had a great sense of humor and quoted me a great price; almost half of another quote I received. I must also say another company that was too busy recommended this company. Thank you to them! The driver, David, was on time with great communication, conversation, and service. I highly recommend this company.
They were 3 hrs late when the dispatch told us 1-1 1/2 hr and got upset because we were 30 mins late because I had to drop my mom off at work! They are late to get your car like 3 hrs but when they get to your destination they want you to be on time and rush you!.. The driver was VERY nasty to my mother on the phone because we were 30mins late like we didn’t have no where to be when you were 3hrs late to come tow us! The lady dispatch has a Snippy attitude(I wanted to snatch her through the phone!) not the kind of people to do business with, Very unprofessional!!! You would think at least they could’ve giving us a discount for the 3 hrs we waited and disrespectful driver but NOPE!! This company is TRASH!!!!!!!
TWO DAYS AGO, The guy forgot to get the key back from me to take to (with my vehicle) auto repair shop. He told me that he was on his way back TWO DAYS AGO. I Still haven't heard from A-1 towing. I don't have a car, and he is supposed to come back to get my key, and getting it the auto repair shop. No work is done yet, because I still HAVE THE KEY UGH.
Picked me up in less than an hour. Raining and cold outside, but the tow truck driver was very kind and happy to help. They charged me exactly what they quoted the first time I talked to them. Very fair pricing, definitely recommended.
Should have option for no stars. Got no service. My mom was in the side of the road in the rain Aline tonight. These people said that they were on the way but no one showed up. They even ignored her calls after the initial call. Why say you're going to show up and have someone waiting. We finally called another company hours later, which showed up within the hour. Don't use this tow company.
If i could give them less then a star o would. I called and they told me it would be an hour b4 they could have my car towed to its destination. I was told they had to drop off one car and they would be there. Here we are 2 and a half hours later and im still sitting in my hot car. During the duration of my wait i would call and they would give me time framea like 20 more min, 15 more minutes. And he still hasnt arrived. I called the company back and he told me they were busy... Im sorry what does that have to do with the time frame u gave me?? I feel like they should have told the truth from the begining and i would have made other arrangements. Im 8 months pregnant and have been sitting herw forever waiting on them. Not once did they offer to adjust the price or offer an apology. They get a thumbs down from me. DO NOT use this company if your trying to handle business in a timly fashion
I see a crack head roaming the complex everyday and found out it was a man that drives the towing truck, had to call off work ,he towed my car saying it was doubled parked no signs say that around area,I ask them how much it cost, he said 250, I ubered up there he said, he need it in cash , I asked him why didn't he say that over the phone, he lied saying he did and kept asking me to turn off recording and he didn't, i had to walk about a mile or 2 to a atm at 5am in the morning in the rain by myself, then ubered back, then he said 225.00 lol he was trying to do me, and cheat me out my money damaged a part on my vehicle, and I think they took a part out my truck because I saw they had another truck like mine, and now my truck having a hard time starting, court it is! Because the devil has his hands on them!
Quoted me a 45 minute wait time, and 90 minutes later and 3 unanswered phone calls, I finally get word that the dispatch driver is no where to be found.
I would advise looking elsewhere for decent service or any service at all.
They are a rip off and will act on a tow request without the proper authority. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I filed a BBB claim against A1 Towing earlier waiting on a response. Long story short they towed my vehicle per the request of the non homeowner when I had permission to park my vehicle in her driveway. Had A1 really cared about ethical business practices they would have rejected the request. But because they only seem to care about money they picked up the vehicle regardless and then charged $500 to release my vehicle... on top of that they stated they could only take CASH!.... I spoke to the owner of another towing company in Charlotte and they were outrage with the whole situation the price and the fact A1 didn't get permission from the property owner. Be ware of A1 Towing . Last thing the manager Tammy I tried to work with seems to be avoiding me and giving me the run around that she can't reach the driver that towed my vehicle nor can she break down the $500 fee that I was charged. The receipt doesn't say anything but $500.... you have to show a break down when you charge someone that kind of money. Crooks!!!!
These guys are a total rip off!! They charge $225.00 when they tow your car. The sign however says $175-$1500. WHAT? They stroll the complex nightly looking for cars to tow. How do you justify that much money? I had my car towed from the interstate after an accident for around $100. No justification. That is just bad business.
The guy towed my car which I have no problem with knowing that I didn't have a park pass, but when I requested simple information about what time it was towed the guy got snooby an hung up an refused to answer the phone. Basically he's checking stickers and towing cars without any paperwork being filled out an that's why he deserves 1 star. Due to the fact that he does burglary towing (no info on when it was towed.)
Called these guys after waiting 2 hours for Rescue Towing to show up. Tim was friendly and informative when he picked my car up. Would definitely recommend these guys.
