The owner is real hateful and tries 2 be pushy but I thank God I didn't have 2 act a fool with please be careful of this place and then he want 2 raise the price for a job he said he will do i wait over a hr for him 2 get there and then he tired 2 do the repair the next morning and after I said no I am not staying the night he want 2 ask for more morning but I was sitting waiting on him some ppl really don't respect ur time
Husband and I had a very negative experience with Johnny's Automotive. We had just purchased a vehicle that had trouble starting and brakes that needed to be replaced. We also needed an inspection done as well. We called him up and explained clearly what we needed and we mentioned there was new brake parts in the car he could install which he agreed to everything. We didn't hear back for weeks and we contacted him many times. We had our car in his shop for almost 2 months! When we would ask how much everything would be he kept saying "I don't know" or "I think it's this much." He finally answered and said he needed our car out of there after not getting an answer from him for weeks. He said he finished all the work and it would cost $375. We sent him the money instantly and when we got the car towed back the car was dead and the brake parts were still in the box never installed! We also asked for the inspection paperwork and receipt of the work done which he declined and never sent to us. He said he isn't legally able to do inspections but maybe he could get his girlfriend to do it? He even asked us to send him $13.75 for the inspection and he never did it and he refused to send our money back. He never provided any paperwork or receipt of the work he did. My husband and I feel we got taken advantage of. It's sad to see people taking money from others especially in this economy. Unfortunately we paid for services that were never done. Our car is currently sitting dead in our driveway. We kept getting the run around with him and eventually he just stopped answering our calls. Very unprofessional service even borderline immoral. I hope no one has to go through the trouble we did. I will not be working with this mechanic again or this company. I hope he can do better in the future.
Had a great experience here, brought my truck in, dropped it off that day was expecting to be charged allot for the work to fix it. Instead of just taking the more expensive route they fixed my truck and did it for half the price I expected. Truck runs and drives great now. I'll be going to them from now on. If your local...well even if you aren't if you want transparent, fast, and trustworthy service. I recommend these folks hands down. Thank you guys for getting my truck back on the road!
Johnny has yet again gone above and beyond for us. We came from out of state to bring our truck to him to replace our CP4 fuel pump to a S&S DCR pump. During the swap one of the parts was seized and cross threaded and would not come off and it had to cut off. He then offered to take the part off of his personal vehicle in order to get us back on the road. He kept us informed and communicated well and got us back on the road as soon as he could.
I put a deposit on a truck based off of his description and word!! I asked several questions in regards to the condition of the truck. Check engine light is on which I asked about and he said it was not, ac didn't work, tailgate is damaged, and the truck shakes to the point I asked my son to slow down and turn around. I understand what a deposit is and not really one that likes to leave a negative review! But I do feel like the truck is not in the condition that was described to me. Also truck was not even in his name!! This guy is one for the books!! Make sure he doesn't get included in your story!!!
Johnny helped us out last minute when we broke down off the side of the highway late in the evening. Johnny was timely, reliable, and took really good care of us. Highly recommend. Thanks again Johnny!

Big shout out to Brad from Johnny's Automotive! Brad towed my car aka Bertha just now. The other towing company said they were going to take care of it and then they canceled the tow. Here it is Friday evening and a holiday weekend and Brad did what he does and did it well. Brad was very courteous and also told me about other services that Johnny offers. Thank you so much. 8/25/2025- My husband had a blow out after 5:30 which is when most tire places close. He called many towing companies and I also.
*MR. JOHNNY* Is the only person who asked where he was located and said he’d come and help him! Whether he could get his tire fixed or whether he needed a tow! He was there within 8 minutes of the call ending! He got him back on the road assuring that his spare tire was safe enough to drive on with and also refused to take a tip after helping my husband and advising him where he could get a new tire by the morning in order to make it to work on time! We were traveling in NC and had trouble with our truck. We literally googled "auto mechanic open on Sunday near me" as we were on the road and this led us to Johnny. He immediately offered to help, mid breakfast, and he assured us that we could continue to make the ride home to Massachusetts after AAA incorrectly diagnosed the problem. He offered us peace of mind to continue the drive, and of course the issue was what he said it was....the battery, not the alternator. He was helpful, honorable and just a great guy! Major radiator leak 88 miles from OBX vacation. Stranded in Wendys parking lot 2p Saturday. Johnny, very kind hearted man wants to get us back on the road (w/ 2 small dogs) Spends 2 hours replacing radiator at the shop, after hours. Exceptional kindness.

My parents broke down and had their car towed to the shop on Sunday. Even though the shop was closed, he met them when the tow truck dropped off their car. He immediately took it for a test drive and diagnosed the problem, telling them it was safe to drive up the road to their hotel. Told them to come back first thing in the morning, he did the necessary work and they were back on the road in an hour. He was kind, professional and reasonably priced.
Johnny is amazing. Truck broke down on the way to the Outer Banks. Johnny was the fastest tow driver in Williamston. Helped with the rental car while he fixed my truck. Very knowledgeable and had me back on the road much faster than the dealership. 5 stars!!!

Traveled on our weekend down toWilliamston and got a hole in our tire on a Sunday called this number and the dude was on vacation and was nice enough to call one of his guys to come and plug it for us within 10 mins. We were back having lunch with our family very shortly after that. We were so grateful to them and couldn’t thank them enough for coming so quickly and helping us out with a 10 month old baby.
Awesome place to have your vehicle serviced. Needed a new battery and Mr. Johnny fixed it immediately. First time visiting his establishment I truly recommend him and his staff. He even offered to tow my vehicle but that wasn't necessary.

We were visiting over the holiday weekend when our check engine light came on. Despite calling several places, no one was willing to take a look at our Jeep on short notice. With our scheduled departure approaching, we were incredibly grateful when Johnny immediately told us to bring the car in and said he’d see what he could do.
From the moment we arrived, Johnny was kind, respectful, professional, and honest. He took us in right away, quickly diagnosed the issue, and discovered that the code simply needed to be cleared—despite the dealership previously telling us it was a crankshaft position sensor problem.
Within 10 minutes, Johnny had everything taken care of—and to our surprise, he didn’t even charge us. It’s incredibly rare to find a mechanic who is not only knowledgeable and efficient, but also truly honest. We can’t recommend Johnny enough and are so thankful for his help!
My husband and I were traveling from Scotland Neck to Cape Lookout on our truck and slider in camper early morning on July 26 and stopped for gas. In Williamston. Excellent service. Was experiencing issues with my diesel pickup passing through on a trip from the coast. Johnny came out on a Saturday morning and towed my truck to his shop. Diagnosed the problem and had me back up and running in a very reasonable amount of time. Highly recommend this shop.
Broke down on side of 64. Called Johnny's and they were there within q5 minutes. Really nice towtruck driver. Drove to the auto shop to pick up the part. Arrived at the shop and we were done within 30 minutes! Really nice people that are honest, trustworthy and easy to work with!
We were on our way to a horse show in Williamston, NC when our truck started having issues. Thankfully, this incredible mechanic came to our rescue. Johnny met us as soon as we managed to limp into the showgrounds, and the very next morning, he returned to pick up the truck and take it back to his shop. He didn’t stop there—he went out of his way to track down the parts we needed, made the repairs quickly, and then brought the truck right back to us.
