The man who worked on my car was extremely unprofessional taking my car to go buy his personal groceries without my consent. They put a faulty part on my car and refused to refund even a small portion of what I payed them. Unprofessional and a huge waste of money. Do not waste your time here

Not sure why they have a phone number to get help over the phone and they do not help at ALL I CALLED twice this morning to see if they had a tire size and the guy with an attitude said “I have a lot of things to do I’ll give you a call to see if I have it available “ and did not give a call back nor sounded that he want to help.

This was the worst tire shop I have ever been to. The guy put the Jack under my car to take the tire off then he goes to get some PB blaster after me telling him it didn't need any PB blaster that I just had to tire off and the lugs out in the tire was not going to be stuck or hard to remove well he didn't listen he sprays PB blaster all over my rim and when he's done putting the tire on the car he's just leaves the oil in Peavey blaster all over my rim doesn't bother to wipe it off or anything so I said something to the owner about it why did you leave my tire like that why didn't he wipe it off well the owner loses his mind when I asked him that and he proceeds to try to take the Jack and put it back under my car and going to take the tire back off my car so I put the car in reverse and told him he won't put in the Jack back under my car then he cusses me out and tries to assault me so anybody out there I would not go see these people to get any kind of work done.

Great tire shop I stopped to get one of my tires patched after the plug job my friend did on my tire didn't solve the problem. Turned out there were 2 places leaking air not just the one nail that we'd found. Good price $30 for 2 patches instead of $50 for a new tire. The tire I had STILL had a lot of tread or I would have bought the new tire. I'll definitely be back again soon.

My experience was great at this tire and auto shop. I've been having some issues with brand new tires that I purchased from Walmart and the tire and lube place that I went to first, really should have been telling me what the issue was but they didn't. Coming here to Coats Tire & Auto, I can't remember his name but I'm assuming he was the owner, an older gentleman, and he showed me what the issue was and thoroughly explained to me what I need to do. He wasn't after a quick dollar, he was very sincere and took the time to elaborate so I can have an understanding. It's not often when a woman can get this type of service because everyone is so quick to try there best to get over on us. They definitely deserve 5-stars?

I wish I got the name of the employee who helped us because man! Our car has been shaking and stuttering every time we would drive it and no one was able to help us before we came here. We didn't even bring up the issue, figuring it was a lost cause at this point, but the employee pointed out we were missing some lugnuts and offered to replace them. Turns out that was the issue all along! Got tires changed and were in and out in less than an hour, plus the man was super friendly and accomodating. Car feels amazing to drive now. Will definitely be back!

My son, a college student, ran over something and punctured his tire on the way to Campbell. When he realized his tire was deflating and punctured he drove to Coats Tire and Auto. They helped him change his tire free of charge. As a parent I am so thankful and grateful for these good hearted people. Thank you for your kindness and looking out for the young people in the community. ❤️❤️

Was pleased to see their management greeting me as I pulled into the parking lot. He was very pleasant to speak with and was knowledgeable on my specific needs. It was affordable and didn’t take too long. Will be going back for anything mechanical. Thanks again!

The guys here are fantastic. My wife’s car needed new brakes and rotors as well as something to fix the front axle and they did a great job. They were quick and got it done for a good price. Would recommend and will choose them again for future maintenance!

They do good work but they take a long time and there is little communication on how long it’ll take a vehicle to get serviced. Both times I’ve had my car serviced here I was told it could be done that day or the next day and my vehicle isn’t ready until 2-4 days later, normally it wouldn’t be a big deal but this car is my only mode of transport and knowing how long it’s going to take or if there’s a delay is really important for me to know.

They are ok. I did have a couple issues like they charged me more the 2nd time I went there than they did the first. I tried to ask why but the guy that took my card didn't speak English. It was frustrating. They did order by tires and got them on the next day.

Mr. Freddie was very friendly and professional throughout the whole entire service. He listened to my suspicions regarding what needed to be checked with my car. Prior to starting work, he gave an estimated quote and then readjusted the quote based on his recommendations in regards to safety. All this was communicated in advance and completely fair unlike other car places that overcharge for same services. There was no rush at all during greeting and checking out. Afterwards, he demonstrated the problematic car part and what it should be like which was especially educational as very few other places would go on to teach customers about cars. Business cards were also supplied for easy reference for future services. Excellent!

I financed a vehicle from them in 2018 I have been making payments via checks Well on July 10, I called to make my final Payment over the phone so that I can get My title, well when I called I was told that They have moved to Rockymount and are Operating under the same name. At first When I called the gentleman that answered The phone denied that they were the same Business and stated that he could take a Message for the Owner, When we explained what we wanted to do Which was to make the final payment via Phone he stated that he had access to there System and could take a payment but that's all he could do Besides taken a message for the Owner so We went ahead and made the payment over The phone with the understanding that the Owner would Contact me. With the payoff Receipt since the receipt that he texted me Did not provide me with the information requested , However it did show that a Payment was made to Coats Located at : 34 McKinley St. , Coats NC " I gave them 72 hours to contact me with the receipt Before I called back, to inquire about my Payoff receipt/ title since Sam from Rocky Mount stated that I should hear something He also stated that it was an electronic title And that he had hit the release of title Button Which was not true when I didn't hear Anything 5 days later I decided to Personally contact DMV to inquire about My title and if it was being processed I Was surprised to learn that it was a paper Title Not an electronic title like Sam Had stated which I'm glad I called because I would've been waiting for my title which Till date has not arrived and they have not Been very cooperative. As much as they Want to say that Rocky mount Coats and Harnett coats autosales are 2 different Business they are not just follow the link On there website and you will see that They are affiliated. I feel like I have been Taken advantage of so please ask about Title information before any deal is made Or you will be in the same situation that I' am in ? thanks for reading !

I got a quote from a Fuquay Tire/Auto place that was so far out of my ability ro pay for just one complete brake job. My car was actually dangerous to drive but they sent me off. I went to Carlos at Coats Tire and Auto Center and he replaced both front brake systems for $200 less than the other place was charging for one. I will definitely go back when I need tires. Go see them, they are the BEST.

This is the best shop ever !!! I was traveling to Jacksonville when in Coats, NC, I had a tire emergency. By luck, this is the shop the tow truck took me to. They had the issue fixed and me back on the road in less then an hour, all the while being very professional and helpful. They took great care in rendering the situation. I highly recommend this shop. As a lady, they didn't try to rip me off or over charge. This, I'm most grateful for.

Very nice and friendly staff. The service is great and the coats automotive family is always willing to help you and make you satisfied with the car you buy. I bought a car from them and it is great and I am very happy with it. I also like that their prices are very fair. I had a great experience and highly recommended them.

Mr. Chuck was awesome! We needed an engine for our Silverado he ordered put it in and we had our truck back within a few days!!! Excellent warranty..best around! Highly highly reccomend! I had a great experience at Coats. They provid the CARFAX report. There was no hassle. They accepted my offer and the entire process was easy. There inventory is small, vut would recommend them to my to anyone.

We bought a used car today from here. Anas helped us and was very courteous and friendly. He did everything he promised and we are very happy with our experience and would recommend them to everyone.

I was disappointed in the quality of the used vehicles in relation to the fair asking price. They fell within the bottom of the 38 used car dealerships I researched and investigated in the area. I think they have great potential for sales if they took my advice and put more work into preparing ALL of their vehicles before putting them up for display on their lot. Just one poorly displayed and priced vehicle can make all the rest look less appealing in many ways. Furthermore, during the warmer months having a cool working air conditioner in a displayed vehicle should be a priority on the preparation list. and I would think at least working door handles or one's that don't look worn out would be helpful in selling just about any used car on display in the asking price of $5,000 or more. There were a couple issues with our recent purchase of a 2011 Toyota Prius that affected an otherwise decent experience. Coats sold us a car with a burned out headlamp and no windshield washer fluid. While we can fix those easily ourselves wouldn't they have checked that beforehand? Also the car had a dead battery and had to be charged before we test drove it, again, an wierd thing if they are caring attentively for their inventory. Other than that the prices were competitive and the sales staff were low key, friendly and not pressuring.... Follow-up message. The dealer has told us he would send compensation for the bulb and our inconvenience. That was a good gesture and restored our good opinion about this dealer. We would purchase from them again. Received compensation promptly. Excellent communication with the staff at Coats. Besides the minor inconveniences, the customer service is excellent, professional and friendly. We would definitively do business with Coats again! Thank you!!!

One of the more honest, friendly, & helpful dealers i've worked with. I spoke with around 7 dealers before I bought my vehicle through Coats Automotive. I was working to get a good deal which limited me to used cars. When other dealers tried to confuse me with dishonest tactics, Coats automotive answered my questions clearly and honestly. I did my homework to understand the value of the vehicle and ensure it was in good condition as I would expect everyone who purchases a used vehicle to do. They made it easy to do business and answered my questions honestly. This is more than I can say for 5/7 dealers I spoke with other the 1 month period I spent sourcing my vehicle. I would go back to Coats automotive for honesty, friendliness, & helpfulness.

It is really hard to find a good used cargo van to start with building a mobile home. Luckily, my wife and I found a good quality 2018 Ram Promaster 2500 from Coats Automotive with a great deal. We really enjoyed the warming but not obligated experience of buying the van. People are so genuine and patient over there (we came back and forth to compare the van with other places’). We happily buy the van from them after shopping around. To my surprise, they still care about our satisfaction even after we purchased the van. Nice people, nice location to give a test drive. Fair price and good quality vehicle. (P.S. it is a military-friendly store, and if you bank with USAA, you will get a good finance rate from the bank.)

As a first time car buyer (from a dealership), I couldn't have been more pleased with the help and service I received here. Bassem was honest and I felt like he never tried to take advantage of me as a customer. If you are looking for a good, clean used car, then this place is definitely worth checking out. It's more of a no haggle dealership, but if you shop around like I did, then you'll find out that their prices are more than fair and they are willing to go the extra mile for service (I chose to upgrade and get new tires put on my car since it would be a few hundred dollars less for the dealership to do it, and then they even upgraded to premium tires at no extra cost to a better brand because they didn't like the original no-name tires that were picked originally). Thanks guys for helping me out with my first dealership experience!

I traveled 2 hours to get to this dealership, unsure of what I was getting myself into. I was pleasantly surprised when I drove up to the Coat's Automotive lot. I was also surprised to find out it was a small "mom and pop" type shop that is not looking to pressure you into to buying a car. The staff was very laid back, but extremely helpful. They had exactly what I wanted and did everything they could to make my visit enjoyable, which is huge when your going to spend a sizable amount of money all at once. I would definitely recommend this dealership to any of my friends. Even though it is a small dealership, the staff strives to give you the best car buying experience you have ever had. And for me they succeeded.

I bought and paid all cash for a car from here 8 months ago and the night I bought it I notice the climate control lights did not work. The next day they told me to bring it in, which I did. After completely tearing out my dash and waiting three hours they realized they could not find a bulb locally and told me they would have to order it off eBay and it would take about two weeks. Two weeks later I return to be told it had not come in yet. A week later I go back to find out it had never been ordered assured me they were going to order it that day they got my number and said they would call me as soon as it comes in. I never heard anything else from them. Also there was a noise that made which they told me it was a pulley they just needed to tighten up they never did that either. I have a truck which hasn't been driven much so I thought I would sell the car back to them and just have my truck for I really only need one vehicle. Went by there the other day he told me he would give me 2500 but they wanted to drive it first it was close to closing ime so I return today for them to drive it and because of the sound it made when I purchased it that they were going to fix and never did they said they didn't want to buy it. For someone to give them 5500.00 cash for a car they have not kept not one word they promised me. I will write a negative review of how I was treated everyday if I have too and I will tell EVERYONE I know how I was treated. These people have no business doing business the way they do and I'm sure I'm not the only one; therefore, they won't be in business for too much longer. They must treat their employees the same way because I notice they always have different people there. I would not eve give 1 star but I had to put something to write this review.

Super easy and smooth purchasing experience. Ahmed was incredibly easy to work with. I had a slight delay with my insurance company adding the vehicle to my policy (I just moved to the state and my policy was waiting for the underwriter, no fault of the dealership), and Coats was more than happy to work with me while I got the details cleared up. They even stayed open a little late to wait for me to carpool in after work in Chapel Hill. I would definitely refer friends to this dealership. I'm loving my new car, and also loving the piece-of-mind that the bundled warranty gives me... Even though I seriously doubt I'll need to use it.
