Great guy and super service. I needed a camper tire mounted and he took care of it on short notice. I would recommend Dale to anyone.

Dale is a champ. Came in at the opening mid-week no apointement or call before. Wasnt there but he pick up the phone right away and on his way for a doctor appointement he helped me figure out the issue on my car, shceduled me an inspection the same day, recommended good people for a new tire and everything was solved before the end of vacation. Thank You So Much once again for your time and kindness! Go give that man some love ❤️

On vacation, the last thing you want is to get ripped off by an auto mechanic, so I am glad I went to Dale's. He dropped what he was doing to diagnose the engine light. Although he could not get the parts to repair it, he assured me I would make it home safely to my local mechanic.

A very friendly place. super service and knowledgeable mechanic. if you have any issues give a calland stop in. my engine light came on and he made time for me to stop in and did not charge me anything to hook up his computer diagnostice device. he checked my codes and reset my check engine light. said if it comes back on in the next seven days to stop back in and he would rechecknit for free.

I cannot thank Dale enough for his exceptional service and support. While I was on a two-week vacation, my car unexpectedly broke down on the side of the road. Thankfully, Dale truly came through in a clutch moment. After a quick and efficient assessment, he discovered the issue was simply due to a lack of water in the battery, something I would have never known on my own. Dale was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the entire process. Not only did he resolve the issue promptly, but his rates were also very affordable, especially considering the situation and the short notice. It’s rare to come across someone so genuine and trustworthy in this line of work. I highly recommend Dale to anyone in need of reliable car repair services.

Excellent service and very quick repair. Honest guy who doesn't try to "up-sale" repairs. Very quick turnaround for the repair. Prices are very reasonable and he does good work. If you are in the Waves/salvo area I would recommend him. (Hours vary from what's posted on Google, so just call to set up a time to stop in)

It's impossible to leave a review that says enough about how awesome Dake is. You could not hope to find a more honest, helpful business owner. Got to Salvo and found ourselves having car issues that immediately killed our battery on top of the other issues we were having. Not only did he drive out to help us get the car to crank without charging us. He was able to quickly diagnose and fix the underlying issue and get us on our way to not miss any of our planned family activities. Dale, you're a saint. Thank you!!

Dale is a miracle man, I recently went to outerbanks for a trip. Got an issue in my car. He took a test drive and fixed it. He insisted that he won't take any money since it was a simple fix. But only I know how much time and money he saved for me. He made our day. He is a great mechanic more than that a great human.

PHENOMENAL MECHANIC!!! Dale went far above and beyond to get my vehicle squared away. He not only rectified the issues that I had been having a difficult time getting other mechanics in Virginia to figure out, but he also picked me up when my car was done and cleaned my headlights! Our family was on vacation over 12 hours away from home when we found our truck leaking transmission fluid. We called a dozen shops and no one could get us in for 2 weeks. Dale was recommended to us, not only was he able to get our truck in that week, but he did an amazing job for a reasonable price!! He saved our vacation and put our very stressed family at ease!

Super nice, honest auto repair shop. I was in town on vacation, had a concerning car issue, and he got me in in less than 24 hrs. Dale looked at it and then told me he thought I’d be fine until I got back home from vacation (Though I do need to fix the car in the near future, and I will). That’s honesty. He only charged for his time to look at it. He Could’ve easily tried to scare me and sell me everything, but he didn’t. Great guy and great shop.

In our travels we have had to rely on the kindness of strangers more times than I would like to share. This vacation Dale was our guy. We had a universal joint go out in the driveshaft of our 3500 Ram Dually and Dale was able to squeeze us in. He was patient and kind, and effortlessly helped us navigate through the woes even when Napa gave us the wrong parts on the first try. If you're visiting OBX and have car troubles stop by Dale's. You won't be disappointed.

Dale was a lifesaver. Arrived after 10 hour drive to vacation house in Salvo and had a radiator leak. Dale saved the day and made the repair before we had to leave and at a very fair price considering the lack of many other options.

I just want to say, when your on vacation and your car starts to act up, it's very stressful. After reading reviews we brought our car in. Dale was amazing worked on the car the next day got it fixed and charged a far price. If we have have an issue again while in the OBX I will bring my car here. He explained everything, from us telling him what it was doing he had an idea of where to start. 100% recommend!!!

We were on a 2 wk road trip from NY and our AC went warm on our 3rd day. We drove for a couple hours with the windows down trying to make it to our B&B. I googled Auto AC repairs and found Dale was in Salvo, NC just a mile away from where we were staying in Avon NC. I also saw he had numerous good reviews. I called and he said he could check it out the next morning. Dale set up the car to run the ac and check pressures. He spent about an hour, made me a cup of coffee and finally showed me the problem. My cabin air filter was so full of leaves it was not allowing the ac to work. He charged for less then a half hour (based on mechanics shop rates in NY area) and I was astounded and tipped him. He is a very nice guy and told me he never wanted to take advantage of anyone and couldn't see how some shops would do that. So on top of a very cheap but excellent repair (I'll be checking my cabin air filter much more frequently in future) I had a great cup of coffee and a fun chat with a great cool guy and excellent mechanic! 1,700 miles later the ac is working like a champ. You can't go wrong with Dale for any auto issue!!

We were visiting Avon for the week and on the way down had some engine problems. Although Dale could not squeeze us in to fix our problem, he gave us a diagnosis that assured us we could get home safely. He was honest and knowledgeable, and you could tell he wanted to help. We would recommend him for your vehicle needs!!

Much like all the other reviewers here, I was on vacation for a week and our car we borrowed from a friend had AC problems. Dale took a look, diagnosed the problem but very kindly told us it was not something he had in his purview to fix. He gave us recommendations of where to go from there while also making sure we understood what the problem was to make our journey forward easier. A real great guy!

We are down in Hatteras for vacation when our Jeep started making a very concerning noise. We called all over Trying to find someone to see us on such short notice. Dale said to come over, he’s busy but he wanted to help us if he could. Turned out a brake and caliper were worn and broken. He was able to get us back on the road within one day. He’s pricing was so incredibly reasonable. I told my husband he’s going to have to make a 6.5hr drive to Dale’s place anytime we need mechanical work done. Highly recommend.

We are vacationing in Outer Banks NC and one fine morning one of our tire had a flat. Upon searching on Google Maps we found out Dale's Auto Services nearby. I called Dale to book an appointment. He was very kind and helpful in setting up our appointment. He was very professional and helpful. His service was fast and efficient. All in all this turned out to be a very painless and smooth experience. We highly recommend Dale and his Auto Services Shop for any tourists and locals visiting Avon NC and Rodanthe NC Areas. I had a problem with my brakes and called Dale's. He got me in the very next day, sorted out all the problems and fixed them. Now the brakes work great. Dale charged us a very good price. He's a very nice guy and a very honest guy. It was a pleasure to work with him. We definitely appreciate him and recommend Dale's.

I arrived in Salvo on Sat. Aug 27 with an air conditioner blowing hot air. I had read many times about Dales being the best so i called Monday morning he told me to bring it over around 12. So i was so happy he said he would look at it for me and get back to me. Well he called me 630 and told me it was fixed. I was so happy we have our car back. Dales saved my vacation highly recommend his service 5 star.

Dale is a kind, fair, knowledgeable, can-do, getter-doner who graciously worked us into his schedule asap for a time-sensitive repair to our Jeep. He diagnosed our issue over the phone, confirmed his diagnosis the next morning in person, immediately had new parts delivered and did all the work to get us back on the road a little after lunchtime. We couldn't be any happier with our experience. Dale's is superb!!! Highly recommend.

If I could give him 100 stars I would. While we were on vacation 700 miles from home my son had an issue with smoke coming from his engine. When he told me what happened I assumed the worst. We took it to another garage they told me they couldn't get it until Monday (we were leaving Saturday). I called Dale he told me he was pretty busy but if I brought it up he could look at it quickly. I drove it up, he immediately identified what he thought the issue was. He told me he thought he could work me in. Originally thought it was the alternator but he figured out it was the AC compressor. He fixed it very reasonably and got us back on the road. Honestly Dale could have completely ripped me off and charged me whatever he wanted and I would have no option but to pay. He completely knew my situation and fixed the car for much less than I expected. Thank you so much. With all the bad news in the world it's refreshing to know there are still good people out there and Dale is definitely one of those good people. Take your car here if you need it fixed.

Dale is the best! After driving through high water on 12 in Avon, our car wouldn’t start. We had it towed to Dale’s and he fixed it at a VERY reasonable price. It was ready the next day and he even drove it back to us! This guy is the real deal! Thank you so much Dale!

Dale is awesome, I called Saturday morning when I was driving there about to do a 15 hour drive and he saved my life (ac refill) and while kids in car and in 15 minutes and $40 cash we had cold air. #TeamCocco approved
