The owner is a jerk. He will ask your opinion about politics and if he disagrees with you he will say you're what's wrong with this country and he doesn't need your business. Very unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Awesome place, with honest/friendly staff and great prices!! My engine light started flashing and beeping at me, and my car started shaking. Within just a few hours, my car was good as new and ready to be picked up! Jim let me know that if I couldn’t safely get my car there, they could tow it for me, and once I arrived, he provided me a ride home with a nice woman so that I wasn’t stranded there waiting on my vehicle to be done. Jim even called prior to me arriving to make sure I was okay, and didn’t break down somewhere (because it took longer for me to leave the house than anticipated.) So kind and caring! This wasn’t the first time we’ve utilized them, and we will continue to remain customers and recommend to friends and family!
ZERO STARS!! Took car in for overheating issue. Was told it was probably the thermostat and a simple fix. Promises me that i would have my car back in a day or two. Asked the owner to call me if the problem was going to cost more than $500.00. He said he would call me if the bill was more than that. He gave me a ride home and tried to sell me some cars and told me how great Vander Auto Parts are and how good they treat the customer. 7 days later, I stopped in to check on my car to see what the hold up was, but I didn't get any answers. 3 days later, I stopped back by, and they told me to come back that afternoon to pick it up. I come back to get my car, and the bill is $800.00
I asked the owner why he didn't call me, and he said the mechanic was supposed to call me. I told him that I asked him to call me, not the mechanic. He gave me excuses on why he didn't call. I started to ask questions, and he couldn't answer them. He called the mechanic over to try to answer my questions. They told me they replaced the thermostat and engine temp sensor. I reluctantly left before I lost my temper. My car overheated before I got home, only 3 miles away. I had to take my car to another shop to get it fixed. I was lied to twice, but the problem was not fixed and i was cheated out of $800.00. I will never do business with Vander Auto Parts again, I wouldn't let them work on a bicycle!!
Put $500 down on a Ford ranger and they wouldn't give it back because I had a death in the family and couldn't bring them the other $1000 to finish the down payment for the truck the owner refused to give me back the $500 so I could use it for the death furnial
This place is being renovated and overhauled because of new management. I have met the new owner, who is a fantastic guy to conduct business with. I forsee a very, very nice facility with great rates and quick service being developed and it is literally impressive to watch. Stop by and let them change your oil or do a visual inspection of your vehicle to ensure it's mechanical soundness. They will definitely treat you right!
This place steals cars. They towed my daughter's car off the side of the road and hid it in their back lot. Called the police station and they stated they didn't tow it or mark it to be towed as it was not obstructing traffic or blocking anything. As my daughter and her friends was looking for it, they spotted it. When to the shop and they stated a black church told them to tow it. Ask them what church. They said they didn't know and didn't know the person that told them to tow it. They charged us $100 dollars to get it back. Contemplating whether to sue them or not. Still undecided at this point. Beware of this crooked place!
I have a 94 Civic and needed bolts for my calipurs. The auto part store don't stock them and wanted $15 for one I had to wait till Tuesday to get. Vander Auto Parts let me get 2 blof the bolts for $6!! Thank God!! Life savers!!
I’ve had two cars from them and both have motor problems and my spark plugs had never been changed. I only got the second car because the first car stopped working on me less than a month and they had to tow the car back. Find another auto place fast!
The parking lot is full of junk cars and there's nowhere to park unless you're in front of one of the bays. Political posters and stickers all over the place. One of the workers looked right at me and called me sir even though I'm obviously a woman, so that was weird. They got my inspection done fast though.
