I've been here a few times now and one thing I can say is they are no nonsense, straight shooters. If they tell you something is wrong with your car, it's what's wrong with your car. I sat in the lobby while waiting and watched a woman (probably a pretty easy target for a repair shop) come in and I overheard her say "well if one side went out, the other side will probably go out soon too". They responded with not necessarily, I had one headlight to put in my truck and it was 80000 miles before I had to change the other. Then he pointed at me and said she has one wheel hub completely shot and the other side just fine. Now, I can speculate that many shops would have said "oh yes ma'am, change them both" just to make the extra money. Honesty about the little things like that makes me trust that with big things, you will get the correct estimate. I didn't have an appointment and it was about an hour and half before closing. They got the part delivered and the wheel hub replaced all in that time. They aren't just a tire shop. I think I overheard that they can do everything except front end alignments and state inspections. I found them thru word of mouth "go to Big Tims in Bridgeton because he won't screw you over". I'd say that is a fair and accurate description. It's super laid back and without all the showroom fru-fru crap in the lobby trying to sell you a set of fancy rims you don't need. Plus the staff is pretty entertaining to listen to while you're there. Ask them to show you the "stuff we found in tires" jar when you're at the register.

After Tim's business worked on my car my radar unit cover on my Honda accord appeared missing due to possible vandalism after leaving my vehicle overnight on Tim's property. Tim made it very clear in person and over the phone that he would pay for the damages done to my vehicle. Then when I told him what the price was to repair my vehicle after having an estimate done he tried saying "I never said i would pay for anything i would look at it" and refused to pay for what he was responsible for. Point being everyone please do not take your vehicle to him because if his workers do not destroy your car then some one else will. I was also told he is known for mildly damaging vehicles after working on them. This goes to show that Tim is a liar and a crook.

I strongly recommend coming here, my wifes tire popped on her car and we were debating on seeing if it couldve been patched or if we needed a new tire. The gentleman who fixed it gave us a patch and her tire is good as new. Thank you Big Tims Tire Shop and we will be returning!

I would recommend big Tim’s. I was searching for used tires I called and from speaking to the lady who answered the phone she was very pleasant and helpful and when I walked in the staff was very helpful and pleasant. The best part was I got my two used tires that look brand new and they charged a good price for them. I will definitely come back to this business for any future work that I need on my car.?

Old school tire guys. You can bring your own and they will mount and balance for a reasonable price. If you like paying for fancy lounges at dealerships this ain't your place.

This review is based on Quality service at an affordable rate. Big Tim Tire is locally owned and operated by Big Tim. Don't let this Friendly automobile repair shop fool you by its appearance. It's a small brick shop with lots of cars waiting for repair. It's a locals favorite because Big Tim is extremely knowledgeable and has a very reasonable price rates for service and repairs. Big Tim had always been up front and very honest about any issues I've had with any vehicle. I've been utilizing his service for new and used tires to include automotive repairs for well over 25 years.... highly recommended!

Their whole team is unprofessional and jump around from vehicle to vehicle. If you plan to have tires put on find somewhere else or plan to wait 7 hours when they only have 1 car there to work on!!! I don't know how they have 4.5 stars but feel free to find out the hard way. They also talk bad about people while you wait.

Great shop. Tim always tries to accommodate his customers needs whether it's time frame or cost related. They're a real asset to the community.

Came from out of state and had a slow leak in one of my tires. I checked the valve and knew that wasn't the issue, so suspected that I had driven over screw. Turns out that was the case: Tim and his crew quickly identified the problem (without having to get the car on a lift) and had my tire plugged and ready to go in less than 15 minutes for $20 cash. They could have tried to take advantage of a guy with out of state plates, but instead they were polite, honest, efficient, and knowledgeable. These gentlemen get a 10/10 rating from me and I highly recommend you use them for any of your tire needs!

Best service in eastern NC, or anywhere I've been, for that matter. Transparent, fair prices, fast service, and trustworthy/honest work. My car was hooked up with wonderful used tires that were better quality than some of the new ones I've seen. I will only take my car here now and would recommend to anyone in the world.

10/10 recommend. It’s hard to find HONEST car service shops, especially as a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars. I visited 4 shops who tried to take advantage of me needing my heat fixed in 40-50 degree weather. Pulled up to Big Tim’s today off the strength of a google search, and left with my heat working like it was never broken. They were honest, and the price was very fair!! Staff were friendly and kept me updated throughout the service. I am so thankful to them today! Also, the character of the people who worked there spoke volumes, Big Tim was very kind and I can’t remember the name of the nice man who checked me in but I had great conversations with him during my time there. I had the pleasure of meeting Big Tim’s wife later and she was even kinder. And big thank you to the mechanic who took the time to fix my car because they seemed extremelyyyy busy!

Amazing service. Great work at an excellent price. I was in state for a family issue and he fixed both of our cars in 2 days. I now have a new mechanic when I am visiting New Bern and when I retire here in 4 years. Highly recommend for your auto repair needs

Currently sitting in their waiting area, my car is on the lift and I've only been here 8 minutes. I came because of the great reviews, so I felt obligated and honored at the same time to leave a review for this place. Great service, great people. I feel very taken care of. As a woman you often feel taken advantage of by auto shops, and having a father as a mechanic he educated me well and is very over protective when it comes to me getting my car serviced... Father's your daughters are safe here and will not get taken advantage of

I have just recently moved to Bridgeton and desperately needed to take care of my brakes and tires. I picked the right business! Quality and pride in the work is spoken and unspoken. Even waiting was never an awkward experience. It feels more like coming back to your home shop than your first experience. Incredible.

I pay for two tires one was just fine, the other one in the back had holes and big lump in it, after driving for five minutes I had a flat tire, I didn't found out about the holes and lumps after Ipock auto checked out thank God for them. I do not recommend this place whatsoever two hours wait for a bad tire what a complete rip off!

Absolutely great. Busted a tube in one of my mower tires and a guy recommended I go to Tim's. I got to Tim's and they went right to work on it, and showed me what busted the tube. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. Great work Big Tim's! Joe's Lawn Repair will definitely be coming back.

I'd like to give a HUGE thank you to the guys at Big Tim's!! I pulled in right at closing time with a frozen brake caliper and smoking tire, 2 hrs from home. Not only did they stay late to fix it they offered their office and AC for me my daughter and 2 dogs! Thanks again and sorry for all of the dog hair! :)

Big Tim got me back on the road quickly, professionally, and for a very reasonable price. That scene from Family Vacation ran through my head when I found myself on the side of the road with a very flat tire. However, Tim and his crew got a tire on the car and I was on my way in no time - without feeling I had my wallet gouged at all.

Big Tim and Daniel we're so helpful in finding a small leak in our tire. We feel much safer as we continue our road trip to Florida. Big Tim is not only a good mechanic, but a great person! Highly recommended!!!!

Deserves more than 5 stars. Recommended by a friend. Needed a tire replaced that I couldn't seem to find anywhere else, but Tim came through for me on extremely short notice. Fixed the issues I had with my brakes, and I am beyond impressed with his and his team's work. They're fast, hard working, honest, mechanics and I will no longer be going to anyone or anywhere else to have my vehicles worked on so long as Tim's door is open!

Asked Tim about doing a transmission swap he said he could do it gave a price and not only did he do it he noticed the oil sending unit was going bad and replaced it and the price was still in the same range that he quoted me. He did great by me and my family has amazing prices does excellent work and treats people like people. This was my first time using tim and he will now be my go to mechanic.

So, let me start by saying I am from Indiana, I had my company working down in New Bern NC responding to the recent floods. After our arrival we noticed one of our trucks acting up, come to find out the truck had several issues. Being out of town, we were hesitant to take the truck anywhere, but a homeowner pointed us to Big Tim's. Tim and his crew got the truck back on the road in just a short few days. After our departure we noticed something wasn't right with the truck. I gave Tim a call to let him know what was going on and to my surprise was very responsive and helpful in getting it resolved. In conclusion, Tim and Lydia ( his partner ) found a mechanic in Indiana to fix the issues at no cost to me. We need more honest people like Tim and Lydia who will stand behind their work and name. The owner is a great guy. I highly recommend this place. I have seen a lot of rotten people in this industry, but this guy is not one of them. Ask him about how he has helped out during hurricane relief and his answer will prove it to you. Support big Tim's tire and automotive! I used him to get a used tire for someone's car I was helping out and they got right on it, even though they were busy, they were trying to help everyone at once, and still keeping everyone happy and getting things knocked out. Great job! Fair prices!

Tim and his team are wonderful! They are friendly, kind, helpful, and honest. I'm from out of state and I got a flat tire. I thought I was going to have to purchase a new tire and was bracing myself for the high cost. Tim saw that it was an easy fix and asked his team to take care of me right away. The mechanic plugged my tire quickly and Tim did not charge me. It was refreshing to deal with an auto shop that truly cares about their customers and are honest. Thankfully, to Tim and his mechanic I made it back home safely. I Highly recommend them!

Tim was awesome! I came to him with a truck that had no brakes and I was from out of town. After calling 4 other shops that stated they didn't have time for me and it would be at least a week Tim was more than willing to work me in so I could get back on the road home. He went above and beyond to help out and the price seemed very reasonable for the job that was done. I highly recommend these guys!!! Thanks for all you did for me!
