Took forever for the process. We arrived during "lunch" time.. we didnt realize they were closed during this time.. so we waited.. fine, no problem.. but afterwards, no one seemed all that excited or in a hurry to help us.. then it was very confusing as to where and how we needed to go thru the property to get the items off the truck and weighed,.. I had to keep getting out of the truck to ask a real person., finally I just walked along side of the truck while my Aunt drove as we had never been there before.. would have been better if maybe there were signs or maybe better communication from the staff.. They pay more than other scrap yards, but we won't be back.. not worth it..

Although I've been here several times to look for some scrap, yesterday was the first time I had to use the scale for weight. What I discovered was the scale "jumps" 20lbs at a time. As I pulled into the scale the red flashing numbers couldn't settle between 4940 & 4960. I sat there for about 15 seconds with it just going back and forth so I finally took a picture of the 4940 and drove off. As I excited someone from the "scale house" yelled for me to go back onto the scales so I did. Same thing happened but at a slightly slower pace. Fairly quickly, someone's voice came over the speaker and said "I got you, you're all set". I got the piece of grate I was looking for and was told I had to purchase the whole piece not just half. I went back over the scale which now read 5120. I was charged for 80 lbs. I had read other reviews mentioning inaccurate weights so when I got home I weighed the grate. It weights 70.4 lbs. Unfortunately I do not have a receipt or the scale ticket because I paid cash to save money on fees, etc ... The point is this: the scale is designed for large loads and when you are talking at least two thousand pounds of steel or other metals, 20 lbs is equal to 1% or less, whereas getting charged for 80 lbs instead of 70 lbs is 15% more. Other reviews speak of "getting ripped off" when selling to them which makes sense because I'm sure if I was dropping off recyclables, the higher number would have been captured and used first resulting in a lighter load being left behind. It is what it is. The people are nice but the equipment is what it is so just know going into it if you're only looking for a small project, it's probably not with your time. The prices I was quoted on 20' lengths of new angle iron are definitely way better than going to home improvement or a local hardware stores though!

Greedy. Cheap and greedy. These people aren't even giving 50% of national scrap averages. I brought 220 lbs. of salvaged copper and got 75¢/lb when the average is $2.75. Folks, don't bring your bushes here unless you are prepared to be cheated.

Called and ask what copper wiring was going for and specifically asked with rubber coating..Was told $3.10 per lb. Lady wasn’t confused at all during the call but played “dumb” after I took it and was at the the pay window. LI would had stripped the wiring if she had been honest during phone call asking for prices. Literally cheated me out of a hundred dollars…From the reviews this is a common occurrence at this place.

Very Easy to access even with a dually with 20' dump trailer . Friendly employees willing to help even in the heat. Also needed a metal rod while i was there , they helped me determine exactly what i needed an was fair with the price... It wasnt the fastest trip to scrap yard i have ever had but it wasnt the slowest by FAR...

Place is a scam. The scale guy looked at the pieces of 500 copper I had and marked me down as having wire harness. I understand taking a hit when the wiring is not stripped, but they will gouge the price to where its not even worth it, and you won't know until you already unloaded it all in the bin. Lady at the desk was nice, but not nice enough to warrant getting robbed. Do yourself a favor and take your scrap somewhere else.

This place is an absolute joke. They try to make you buy their stuff for $.40 per pound. Then if you sell them items they want to give you seven dollars per 100 pounds. C&C in Kings Mountain you buy them out for $.20 per pound and they will give you 825 per hundred for yours. There’s absolutely no way I will buy anything from this place. Not to mention their skills are totally in accurate. I went over there and wait one piece of metal and they gave me a wait for one piece I put 30 in those pizzas on my truck magically when I went across the scales the weight difference was off by over 200 pounds. Now when you’re paying 40 send a pound that starts to add up
