Had a headlight issue in our truck and terry was so thorough. He is just a sweet person who genuinely cared about our safety. He worked on the truck on his day off. 10 out of 10 would recommend! From your good old country girls!

Good honest work done at a reasonable price!

Terry was absolutely amazing. I had a check engine light come on while visiting the mountains on my Ford Explorer. The Ford dealership in Boone wouldn't see me for over 2 weeks and neither would Flanagan's in Banner Elk. This was longer than I was even staying for my families vacation. Turns out it was a simple computer issue where the turbo was not kicking in to pull the vehicle up the hill. Terry fit me in same day and had the vehicle running back to normal within 4 hours. Best of all it was a great price for the work performed. Don't bother calling anyone else while your in the area, just give Terry a call.

My husband and I were very impressed with Teaster's Auto Repair. We are from out of town and were having brake problems on our truck. Being from Michigan and staying in a mountain cabin, that was pretty scary. Terry didn't even hesitate he just told us to bring it on over and he would fit us in. So he had new rotors delivered and fixed us right up. We were so grateful!!!

My daughter is in school in Banner Elk . Her car would not start at school , I had an idea of what was wrong . However I live about 2 hours away . I called these guys and they came picked the car up , towed it to the shop and ended up changing the alternator and made a couple of other minor repairs that I had not even mentioned . The car was ready two days later and the cost was right in line with other estimates I had gotten when I found out the issue . For myself these guys are very honest and reliable . I would be happy to recommend them to anyone , no problem ..

The power steering went out on our car coming down the mountain in a pouring rain! It was very harrowing experience and we were two hours from home! We called Teasters not knowing anyone and they came to the rescue!! They towed our car and fixed it within a couple days! Terry and Kelly were both excellent!! Much appreciated there service!!

I had my 05 Subaru towed to this shop started off rude then took 7 days to look at then 2 more to say what was wrong then said if he didn’t have the title by day ten he was gonna take me to court and get a judgement Against me didn’t have the money at the time to have towed to another shop leaving me no choice by to sale gave me 100 for my car

Absolutely do not use this establishment. They are pure and simply crooks. Lived here off and on all my life. Never expected or experienced such underhanded and deceitful treatment. I’m ashamed of them. Truly.

We were visiting from Wisconsin and our car died. The first repair shop we got towed to wouldn't even look at our car for 10 days. So I called Teasters and they instantly towed our car to their shop and had it fixed 4 hours later. Terry, his son and wife treated us with so much caring. What a wonderful experience after two tough days! Thank you Terry!

We had a front axle pop out while going down a steep paved hill on Sugar Mountain at 5pm on Sunday.. My 2018 RAM 4x4 was crippled. Terry was our hero. He towed us down to his auto yard and removed our axle the next morning so we could make it back to FL on Tuesday. We skied Monday and our truck was ready before we were done. He picked us up from the Best Western. He went Above and beyond.

Saturday of Memorial Day weekend 2020 I was heading to the top of a mountain near Burnsville NC using a one lane gravel road that was not in great shape. My Ram pickup tires began to spin so I tried to back down. Long story but my truck ended up teetering on a 40' drop down the side of the mountain. Terry was about 1.5 hours away in Banner Elk. His wife told me it would be a few hours before he could get there. A few hours later he arrived with his cousin who was visiting from Ohio. This was not your typical side of the road haul to a shop. He had to use both wenches and a good bit of expertise to get my truck back on the road and not have it roll down the mountain. I have some minor damage to my front and rear bumper which was understandable based on the precarious position of the truck. It took about 2 hours to get the truck back on the road. I thought $600 was a bit high but was glad to have my truck in one piece with no mechanical damage. That comes to about $100/hour. Thanks Terry and Cuz.

I called Terry to help us get down Beech Mt during bad weather (I stupidly drove a front-wheel drive car with low tire treads and no snow chains to go skiing). He got there quickly, got us hooked up and down the mountain safely, and was very kind. Highly recommend — thanks, Terry :)

Unethical, crappy people have gardens too. The worst experience ever for both my fiance and I and we are now finding out this is common knowledge in the local area. My fiances car quit working beside a 4 lane highway at night when he was still over an hour from home so we found Terrys number and gave him a call the next day. He said he would tow it for $130 if my fiance would let him do the work on it, so he agreed. Well when they got the car back to the shop Terry added brake/hydrolic fluid to the car and it worked perfectly but Terry would not let my fiance take his car. He said he needed to give it a look over. My fiance agreed. When he showed up the next day to get it Terry insisted he needed a clutch, which we knew it did not because of the previous work that had been done to it. Then when we wanted proof the clutch was bad he fumbled for answers and his wife came out cussing saying to get off their property or she would call the cops so my fiance said to go ahead and call them and they showed up. Then when he just wanted to simply pay Terry and drive his car off the property Terry said he had drained the fluid out of the car! He most certainly did something to my fiances car because it wont move today besides the fact that he drained the fluid. Terry said he drove it yesterday to make sure it was working then suddenly today he's saying he never drove it at all when the car is sitting pulled up right behind other vehicles which wouldnt be possible if Terrys story was true that the car wouldnt work yesterday. He would have had to back the car into the spot to unhook it from the wrecker, theres no possible way the car could have been parked the way it was unless it was running and had been moved since being unhooked from the wrecker. We are now having it towed to another shop. Not positive but we think maybe his wife has a drug problem and they are pulling scams for money to support that habit. Watch these folks people!

The people there were so kind! I really enjoyed talking with them. There generosity was especially evident when they offered to take me behind their shop and check out their garden. They even gave me some veggies to enjoy!! This place offered to check out my car right away - no appointments necessary.

Terry & His wife Wendy are the BEST!! You cam call them and their happy to help in any way, drove out and helped me with my tire,breaks on a few occations! Always very friendly! Love you guys !!!! Thank you for all your help !! Ill miss you !! Mya

I got my car towed I did not have a positive experience

Absolutely awesome experience. I was in the mountains on vacation and needed my truck serviced. Called him up, he got me in and get the work done. These are good, God fearing people working hard to make a living. I'm happy to give them my business. I will be returning, I'm glad to say I also made some new friends in the area. Southern hospitality at its best.
