Juan and David were helpful, fair and extremely kind when my son's car broke down near their shop. They replaced the radiator and got him back on the road as quickly as possible. Highly recommend them!
My alternator died at a gas station near their garage from Charlotte to Wilmington NC, they answered quick, showed up fast, towed the car to his garage, they called and priced the alternator and went and picked it up and installed it in under 2 hours!
I first went to Barragan Auto Repair feeling skeptical about bringing in my new to me Range Rover, which I got from my aunt. But wow—when I met the crew and talked to Juan, my opinion completely changed. I loved the people, the environment, and everything about how they manage repairs.
I took the Range Rover in for a basic oil change, brought my own oil and filer, and they put it right in without hesitation. They also inspected the vehicle thoroughly, and thanks to them, I found out I needed a few repairs!
After the amazing treatment from Juan and everyone there, I started recommending the shop to people I know. They do things the old-fashioned way—it has a homely, trustworthy vibe, and you won’t feel like you’re being scammed. That’s rare in auto repair.
It’s hard to find a shop you truly trust, but this one is it for me. I plan on bringing all of my vehicles here from now on.

Unfortunately we were scammed by this company. We worked with Juan to purchase a car. He told us that we had until Tuesday of next week to have the car checked out by our mechanic. If there was anything wrong, we could bring it back for a full refund. We had the car checked the very next day (today, Saturday) and there is a lot wrong. We contacted Juan and provided him the mechanic’s report, expecting him to honor his word as he seemed like a very decent guy, but he refuses to. Don’t not trust this company, no matter how honest they may seem to be - it is all an act. They will not hold to their word.
I had a wreck in north Charlotte in February. I called Mr Barragan to tow my work vehicle which was full of tools because I knew I could trust him to be careful with my truck and tools. I was upset about the wreck but I was able to go home and let him handle my truck and get it to the body shop. Now that I found out he has opened a mechanics shop I will be taking my cars there for any repairs.
