Worst scrap yard around took 50 Ibs of copper pipes and over 200ibs in compressor motors and ended up getting $108 , I usually go to foss but they are closed indefinitely and they would have given me at least $200+ , the scale is off as well and the employees are highly unprofessional I can go on and on . Next time I’m going to Durham
STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!! These arnt your people for you to take your recycled catalytics too if your in the auto game and have numerous. Dude is gonna lie to you and try to pull a quick one. Sold them mainly cause I didn’t want to load them back up and didn’t need the money just needed them out my way . Stay away from them !!!
Just took maybe 7 car batteries and didn’t get half of price that other places offer. Like previous places give you minimum $5 per battery will be driving Durham on the next clean up day.
They say they close at 1 but they close when they feel they want to got there at 12:33 and gates were already closed need to update there time online to the time they stop taking business!!!!!! Want go back will stick to foss recycling from now on waste of gas and time very disappointed and very unsatisfied!!!! No wonder I taught they had close down and the reason no one even talks about them for recycling!!!!!
I have had 2 bad experiences here.....the last one I came away with $0 and I dropped off +400lbs of scrap metal. Sparing you all the details...Their scales are off (they admitted this to me)....and they have cheated me 2 times....I'm done there....not going back.
Saturdays they say they’re open till 1 PM but they closed the gate at 12:30 and leave at 12:45. Also I took them #1 insulated and They tried to call it spaghetti anything stranded doesn’t matter if it’s #4 they call it spaghetti. Go to CMC they pay more best price and they’re professional
Bought two underbody toolboxes. Been looking everywhere. The Lord deals with Man, and the price they gave me was really workable. I read some reviews about the parking . And how some people felt like it was cluttered. I think they do a great job with such a small area. I mean C,Mon man, for all intents it's a Junk Yard.
How many junk yards have you ever seen that organized. I didn't see a problem ,looking at anything. And these Prices are just incredible.
Take some sanding and paint, and you are paying a quarter of what it cost new.
Look on OfferUp or Facebook and then browse around here some. You might actually have to walk a ways or go down a row. But don't you do that at Walmart all the time. And walk twice as far and put up with a whole in lot more mess. Trish was so helpful and polite, you just don't see that anymore. I was really impressed with this young woman.. If the others are half as willing to work with customers. How can You go wrong?

The staff for one is worth the visit. Second to the staff is all of the items they have available for projects or to add to your own collection. Don’t forget to check out their eBay store for excellent finds.
I bring cans here for recycling. Employee's are always nice and quick on getting me in and out of here in a timely fashion. They accept all kinds of recycling materials. It would help if they had a bigger parking lot though. They have junk piled up everywhere in their parking lot that should be stored elsewhere. This place should be more clean and neatly organized. But I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get some money for recyclable materials that otherwise people just throw away in the trash.
Terrible place and very dishonest! Had #2 copper wiring and cables & they rated as electronic wires, faaar less than the value. They have separated prices, depends on the nationality! When question why after observing the actions of the next customer I observed the different prices on the same material.
OK RECYCLING is not what you think it is thay do not pay you right thay do not give a good deal .
So if i was you go ahead and take it to CMC RECYCLING THAY PAY VERY GOOD AND THAY ARE VERY FRIENDLY THAY WILL GIVE YOU TOP DOLLAR FOR YOUR SCRAP
