I came to this mavis to get air in my tires , come to realize there was a plastic cover hanging off my bumper under my car, I walked in , spoke with Joe and he was able to take care of and fix this issue immediately and i was out of there within less than 30 minutes. Service was great and quick!

They have outstanding service, always greeting customers with a smile and taking the time to explain or show what repairs need to be done. The Manager Anthony is a great help!

I was one hour into a three hour ride when my truck flashed a low psi on one of my tires. Happened on a Friday around 5pm. Most businesses closing soon. I got off highway and pulled into Mavis Tire Thornwood. They diagnosed the issue as a cracked rim, added air and did not charge me for their inspection as there was nothing more they could do in the moment. I was grateful for their honesty and expertise and would highly recommend this shop.

I came in today with a flat tire and the team at Mavis on Thornwood was incredibly helpful. They took care of the issue quickly and immediately put me at ease. The men working there were professional, respectful, and made me feel especially comfortable as a woman in an auto shop, which I truly appreciated. The experience was smooth, stress free, and I felt well taken care of from start to finish. I highly recommend this location!

The Store Manager Davidbrian explained everything clearly, didn’t try to upsell unnecessary services, and got the job done in a timely manner. My car was ready when promised, and the pricing was fair. I really appreciated the honesty and customer service. I was past due for an oil change, I needed one asap in b/w my busy schedule. Anthony was so accommodating and polite. My car was seen right away, it was a fast and easy service. I was done in less than 30 minutes ready to drive back down to the city for my next client. Anthony also had a great recommendation for a car wash nearby that I needed as well. I appreciate his time,refferal and care for my car.

The service at this location was exceptional the assistant manager Anthony went above and beyond to make sure every service I needed was done. I would recomend this mavis location to everyone looking for great service. I give this businesd a 10+.

I booked an appointment at 10am for 2 new tires an alignment. They said they were running on time and should be a little over an hour. After 2 hours they told me it would be another hour at least to finish the tires and do the alignment. That brings me to over 3 hours wait time. The manager said we got busy there is nothing I can do. I told them just put the tires on and FORGET the alignment. I will go to another place for the alignment! What a waste of time! I will never come back here again!

Joe was great made everything smoove and easy , great customer service I was literally in and out in 15 mins my tire had a nail and they patched it up really fast . Car feels amazing best mavis I’m town

This place is my local MDT shop. I went a few times. Evertime, we had an issue but was fixed free or with an additional charge. Last one was a red flag and looks like they lost my business. 1) Brought new tires and asked them to swap. Job was done and as soon as I got my keys I made a walk around and saw that 2 out of 4 were mounted wrong. INSIDE label was outside. They corrected it upon request no charge. Minor issue but could be and should be avoided if you want to be reputable chain. Was happy to get fixed and on the way home TPMS alert on my dash. Could be avoided easily. Went back and they fixed it. 2) I generally drive around speed limits, nothing crazy but sometime later after the new tire install I realized that my steering wheel gets vibrations above 60 miles. This was weird since I clearly remember nothing odd happened. I vent to the shop and told them the situation. They told me time passed since they installed it but happy to check. They asked additional charge, I accepted. No problem here. Once it was done they told me all tires were off balance. I paid what they asked but told them this is not acceptable. The weight on the rims is their weight, clearly nothing was replaced or added. So it was their work and no one on a regular daily drive can mess all 4 tire balance. If you mount inside labeled part to the outside, ı can expect that balance was also rushed. 3) This was my worst experience. I asked them to install new all season tires on rims. What I wanted them to do. Take out current rim/tires install new tires on current rims, and install current tires on my second rims with new tpms sensors. I will provide everything. This is a straight forward job. Over 15 minute calculations this and that etc and they came up with a price around $400+ (April 2024). Before asking the other MDT close to Pleasantville ı wanted to make sure they don’t scratch rims. When ı asked if the guarantee no scratch removal and install the guy in charge told me that’s impossible. So I am gonna pay you so much and you will not pay attention and scratch my brand new cars wheels. What kind of customers are expected! That was a red flag not to visit again. More disappointment was when he told me that I am not buying anything from the store and ask for scratchless service. That’s unbelievable since that means you CAN do scratchless job but don’t want to do it! Oh, ı forget. They ask me additional charge to mount and calibrate the TPMs. So it’s 500+. What I did ı went to a local dealer get everything done professionally taken care very well, got the TPMs installed ($10 each) bought an Autel Maxitpms TS508 and did the position relearn myself and done. Last visit to Mavis was disappointing, others were kind of fine but my personal opinion is that the shop needs more organization and professionalism. Its a big chain and ı heard good things about them until I experienced the above. Giving 2 stars not 1 since ı want to support my local shop!

Made appointment for new Conti DWS06, they ordered them and were ready for the next day. Had them on, plus some extra rim move arounds, in less than 90 minutes. Very accommodating, excellent customer service.

Brought my truck to Mavis in Thornwood today for work. Staff was very knowledgable and professional, all around. They got my truck right in and did great. Very impressed. Anthony at the counter was super helpful. Highly recommended.

Dropped my car to get new tires, Brian tried selling me brakes, my car is a 2024 Tesla model Y with 14000 miles. Brakes are barely worn. The last manager I believe his name was Randy, was the best person to work with. He sent me videos and pictures of the work required he earned my trust. I asked Brian to send me pictures because I am skeptical he said “take the wheel off and check them yourself” I spent about $9,000 last year at this location and the pleasantville store on my cars. Company seems to be moving backwards with their management choices.

Just had an excellent experience here and I was very pleased with the phenomenal customer service I received, especially from Brian. He is so kind and knowledgeable. He even took the time to walk me outside to my car and answer all of my questions. The staff were so prompt in getting my car taken care of and the price that I paid was very reasonable. It was such breeze getting this done and checked off of my to do list. Would definitely recommend them to all and use this location again for sure.

Terrible experience there. They tried to tell me my flat tire couldn’t be plugged. And needed my other tires replaced as well. Plug was eventually fixed at a ford dealership. And my tires were less than a year old. DON’T EVER TRUST THIS SHOP.

Everyone at this location seems to be very nice and knowledgeable but Brian is the man to speak to. Awesome guy who will take care of you and your car as if it were his own. They all always do their best to get you in and out as quickly as possible at the best price. Thanks again!

Service was fast and efficient. I was able to book same day and be seen quickly. The gentlemen who worked on my vehicle was honest and upfront regarding the repair(s) needed. I was in and out of the facility quickly. Will come again for future repairs.
