What clients say about Whole Foods Market in Port Chester (NY)

Great selections, fresh food, lots of options, especially organic and / or gluten free items. The store even has fresh flowers and some potted plants. Good parking.

Produce looks wilted and past its prime. Asparagus sitting in dry pans. Shelves bare of some products. This is not the same Whole Foods since Amazon took over. So sad!

Quality is going down. Paid $3 today for a pomegranate that is rotten inside. Prices are marked up for premium quality and that’s what we get?

Absolutely disgusting encounter with KARLY Not only did she follow me from the front of the store to the back of the store she accused me of stealing and threatened my well-being she asked me what I was doing here and to be upfront I am African-American. She went to another associate Tyler to try to get me removed from the store asking him. What am I doing here and accused me of refusing to give her information I recorded the entire encounter. I told this woman to leave me alone and have a good day she told me yeah you’re about to have a bad one ? I highly doubt that Karly threats will be reported Thank God for cameras because I recorded the entire encounter with her. The store has a bad reputation for terrible customer service, and a lot of of the situations have to do with her. I would be happy to share some of my videos with the store owners and managers.

My favorite grocery store. Fresh bread always available. Always come for bananas and vegetables.

the store itself is fine, the STAFF on the other hand….is not. i’m constantly waiting just to be acknowledged when i’m trying to get a cake in the bakery section and have to clarify which cake i want each time as the worker always reaches for the wrong one. i’m not sure if maybe it’s super loud behind the counter or what but after the third time this occurred, i decided to just get my cakes elsewhere. the rest of the store is well kept and other departments are fine.

If you think this place has good vegetables and fruits….You really need to visit other super markets or travel more often….quality of fruits and vegetables is purely artificial with very bad taste. Hopefully this review makes a difference in our local supermarket.

Almost every time I visit this location I encounter the rudest, most unhelpful staff and vow to stop coming. Perhaps this is because I am so accustomed to the beyond helpful and pleasant staff at Trader Joe’s Scarsdale and Deciccos. I am sure this is reflection of management but either way- Whole Foods do better.

The integrity at this Whole Foods needs to be reevaluated. The price of Mountain Valley water increased from $2.99 to $3.19, which is consistent with other Whole Foods locations I’ve visited. However, at this store it rings up incorrectly at $3.24. According to Whole Foods’ policy, if an item rings up at the wrong price, the customer should receive it for free. This did not happen here. It seems either the cashiers are not properly trained on this policy or management is not enforcing it. Pricing accuracy and honoring store policies are basic expectations, and this location needs improvement in both areas.

I ordered groceries today to be delivered to my home, and the items were gross, they packed raw chicken thighs with the Cannolis and strawberries I ordered and the juices from the raw chicken leaked all over the cannolis the strawberries needless to say I had to dispose of the berries and the cannolis. The delivery guy though he was polite did not follow the instructions I left, (he said he had a back injury so could not take the groceries to drop off location at the front door) I have my groceries delivered because I injured my leg and so I had to ask my neighbor to get my groceries since I was not able to do it myself. It was a complete disaster I spent hundreds of dollars and got damaged items and wrong items. The items came from the Port Chester location in New York.

Absolutely unacceptable. I bought a HOT organic rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods in Port Chester today, only to cut into it at home and find it raw inside. When I called, the manager, Lee, couldn’t have cared less. His response? Drive 25 minutes back for a $12 refund. No apology. No urgency. No concern that they served RAW poultry that could seriously make someone sick. This isn’t about the money — it’s about basic food safety. Being brushed off like this was no big deal is outrageous. Selling raw chicken as ready-to-eat is dangerous and inexcusable. I’m reaching out to corporate directly and hoping they take this far more seriously than the store did. Disgusting on all counts.

This review is for the Port Chester location. Smoothie and juice bar is open at random times, but closed for the most part. Don’t come here if you’re specifically craving a smoothie. It’s a crap shoot. Stopped by the bakery department and asked them to slice a loaf of bread and was met with this reply, “why can’t you take one of the pre-sliced ones?” When I insisted they do their job and slice me a new one, they grabbed the hardest, oldest loaf they could find so they could unload old inventory onto me. The whole time, the employees are chatting and gossiping with each other and NOT helping the paying customer! This Whole Foods is a disgrace and clearly needs new leadership.

I went here to get items to grill for a quick barbecue. I enjoyed the fresh selection of meat and seafood. Keep in mind the prices are high but the store specializes in healthier food options versus the highly processed foods at a traditional grocery store. I will continue to patronize Whole Foods for certain items.

Good selection of quality fruits and vegetables. Many items in the store. Workers are not knowledgeable about item locations. Ask several people, and sometimes have assistance in finding an item. Avoid the sushi. Highest prices anywhere.

Food that is healthier, cleaner, causes less harm to nature, and less harm to life. We can simply call it pure diet

I just want to say the Whole Foods in port Chester is the best. The staff that has been there the longest is professional and kind. When fruit goes bag or something isn’t good they do a quick return or exchange. Taylor who works there is the sweetest. At Whole Foods in this location your voice matters and your health. I am was getting great deals. My family and I can budget great quality produce .

Not clean at all. The produce section had vegetables sitting in ice only the ice was almost completely melted leaving the produce wilting in old, dust-filled water. Shelves were not that organized and most of the check-out lanes were closed even though it was relatively busy. Despite the easy parking here, the Whole Foods Market in Greenwich is much nicer.

Having a disrespectful & neglectful Team Leadership & Management, having their customer service/e-commerce department go off the rails regarding safety & health code regulations during rain/snowstorms plus heavy fog, the cashiers being grumpy or clumsy as all heck, grocery & produce departments barely help with customer inquiries, the HR department being biased against company subordinates in favor of company elites or irate customers. Well I'm a customer, & I'm offended by your workplace culture & structure.

Went to Whole Foods as a needed a something last minute. Reached there at 8:56 and the girl at the door wouldn’t let me in even though I said I check out by 9 since I knew what I needed to pick. I told her it’s not 9 yet and she wouldn’t open the door and just stared at me. I would expect employees at Whole Foods would be more polite and helpful.

I am very disappointed with Whole Foods for continuing to sell Lake Champlain Chocolates that are clearly not fresh and are only a few days away from their expiration date 12/1/24. I purchase these chocolates frequently and recently bought some on sale a few weeks ago. The product tasted spoiled, stale, and nothing like it normally does. I informed customer service about the issue, yet the chocolates remained on the shelf. When I returned yesterday and purchased them again, the taste was even worse. This is unacceptable. Shame on Whole Foods Port Chester for prioritizing profit over customer health and quality. Prices ring up higher than what is labeled! This whole foods consistently has prices ringing up higher than what is labeled. I've had several items rung up higher than what is labeled on several occurrences while shopping here. Today, I bought turkey slices labeled at 4.99. It rung up for $7.99. When I alerted the cashier, the female supervisor on staff refused to give the item for free. Instead, she edited the price of the item from $7.99 to $4.99 when ringing me up. She went and removed the incorrect price from the shelf. (Employee hand in pictures) Please be diligent in checking what prices you are being charged when shopping here. Whole foods policy is In a nutshell: CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. If the yogurt you buy is tagged at $. 50 but rings up at a $1.50, then you get that yogurt for free! Just head on over to the customer service desk with your receipt and they will refund the full $1.50.. The store itself is great and employees are nice for the most part. Just be sure to check your prices when being rung up at register. I've only had an issue with that one supervisor.

This is specifically about the Port Chester, NY store. Not great. The parking situation is insane. Whoever designed that lot should be jailed for risk to human life. Next - service is crap. I tried to ask a question, and the girl just kept on walking until I raised my voice. Product selection is non-existent. No Ocean Spray or Campbell's juice. No Domino's sugar. The only sugar was in 8 oz bags.... in a supermarket!!! They tried to charge me for soup nuts with my two 32-oz soups. 49 cents per envelope. Told them to keep them. Etc, etc. The only reason I went there was to pick up one of those 700 super duper $60 pies for Thanksgiving. Hope it's good. Not going back to this store again... for any pie. .

While my mother and I usually love shopping at Whole Foods, today at around 4pm at the self checkout line we were racially profiled. Not sure if Marla is her real name, shadowed my mother and I throughout our whole time scanning to the point I had to ask her if she’s doing that to anyone else and she said nothing. I then started scan the food bar platters, which she corrected me and told me to weigh them individually. While we shop here often, we don’t usually eat here so I wasn’t aware of that, which is fine. However, she then goes to ask, “Did you scan the oil?” I scrolled up and showed her that I did. And I asked her again, why are you not on top of anyone else like this? She said nothing and continued to hover over my mother and I. While I understand her job is to ensure that no one is stealing, she was on top of us the entire time and then to insinuate that we stole is not okay. She was not hovering over anyone else but us. This is not okay and your employees need some training. My mom and I are shaken from this incident. My mother and I are prime members as well. Won’t recommend shopping here if you’re a minority. And of course, I did take it further and do the review on the receipt as the manager commented, but im sure nothing will be done about this. Just please educate and train your employees. Whole Foods is a well renowned establishment and their customers should not be treated less than because of their race.

I was very disappointed at Whole Foods today when I saw this person taking it out really moldy lemons from these bags and then leave the ones that kind of looked ok in the bag and then keep it for sale to unsuspecting shoppers. Perhaps all grocery stores to that but Whole Foods expects us to pay premium pricing for food and then how can you trust anything they sell and specially if you do pick up of grocery. These look good below because the bad ones have been weeded out

I had a wonderful floral experience. Adiele was very kind and took pride in his craft. The bouquet came out gorgeous and I couldn’t be happier with the service.

Honestly, this is a very clean Whole Foods Location. The store is well organized, and set up for easy shopping. The prices are a bit expensive (but that's most locations). They have many specialty drinks that are only offered at certain stores as well! I look forward to stopping by again soon. Overall Rating: 9/10 ??

It is a tranquil Whole Foods store. It is not as big as other markets but has a large selection that would be enough to get what you are looking for mostly.
