What clients say about Costco Wholesale in New Rochelle (NY)

Rude staff with no respect for customers and very aggressive behavior. Extremely disappointing experience.

All of the amenities I would expect from Costco; gas station, free parking lot, attentive and helpful staff. Except Beka, who ignores and throws things towards customers. What a shame that the cashier would behave like she works in the back unloading the trucks. Perhaps a shift of responsibilities could encourage her to show more gratitude towards patrons and her gracious employers during this economy.

Costco is always amazing. The most i liked is the variety of plants they carry. For instance today they had Basil, palm trees , and if you are interested in planting pine trees they are waiting for you, those mini pine trees look spectacular. Hurry up before they get sold out.

Usually everything is fine, but make sure to check expiration dates and sell-by dates- multiple times they stock already expired products. We have purchased chicken which was already over a week past expiration! This is super dangerous and could get somebody very sick.

Large parking lot. However, I would avoid going here on the weekends. Very much crowded. During the week M-F, it's a hit or miss on how crowded the store would be, but your chances on a quick checkout are better. Gas & tire care is available at this location.

Between the craziness of the parking lot and the absurdly long lines, it's just not worth going to this Costco anymore. If you try to go on the weekend, give yourself plenty of time to find parking, and be prepared crazy drivers in the parking lot, people fighting over parking spaces, and a lack of parking. If you are lucky enough to find a space plan for a very long wait at the checkout. It doesn't even matter if you do self-service or go to the cashier the lines are humongous often going Isles back. There's just too many people for this store. The likely makes the staff quite unhappy. The last time I was there I gave up I left my car full of stuff and walked out of the store and this was after spending 20 minutes trying to find a parking space. It's just not worth the stress. I'm likely going to give up my membership and try out another club as if I can't go shopping in the store it's really not worth that much to me to have a membership. I don't remember it being this bad years ago when I joined and I'm not sure when it got this bad. It's just not worth it

I love Costco! I love the quality of their products and I love their prices, but the experience of finding a place where to park, how crowded the store is inside and the time that takes to go through check out is the reason I took a star. They need to open the new store on Herdon Ave or better yet, a store in Madera close to Avenue 12.

Unfortunately this is the worst cosco in the whole place just because of the employees. One specific named Al was totally a bully, had the worst behavior and attitude towards us as a family who have always shop there . My father in law was sick so me and my husband were going there with his card ( same surname and everything) , we live in the same house and this person named Al stopped us at the entrance talking and treating us with no respect at all and saying to get out . Even we did explain to him more than once he didn’t want to listen and was offensive. We always have use the same card as we live together but he didn’t care or even to explain what the problem is . Is i go there to spend my money the minimum i want is to be treated with respect. What a shame for a place where they pretend to be the best !!! I am definitely not renewing my card this august

This is where I shop for years and will continue to do so. Prices have increased but this is still a good bargain compared to supermarket prices that are too expensive. I enjoy the good quality of their food vitamins clothes shoes plants etc. I love Costco! And their hot dogs are the best in NY.

5 stars before I love the Costco brand but this location would be a 4. The employees here are 98% amazing. I had an interaction with a lady that work in the clothing area, it was horrible but all the other employees are great and helpful. The customers that shop in this location are just crazy, always looking for a fight, the demographics of the customer base for this one is just a little different. Try to go there on the less busy days like weekdays if you don’t want your peace to be disturbed. Location has gas and tire services. Parking is awful during The Weekends but still, the parking lot is bigger than most Costco’s. Managers are great, the ones at the return counter looks like they seen a thing or two. Can’t really expect exceptional customer service from the cashiers that are ringing up 5000 items per minute so I’m thankful for their service and getting us out of there quickly. Only ask for this location is to manage the lines a little better so people are not fighting, direct people since the line cuts off with product in the middle. Again,Costco as a brand, amazing, love all the perks and amenities of the black card. Ranking: Costco Rockland 5/5 flawless, no crazy customers, employees are great Costco New Rochelle 4/5 (my review above) Costco Yonkers 4/5 (limited parking and collection) (no gas) Costco rego park 4/5 (no gas) very crowded

I love the variety and range of products that Costco offers consumers. Since I have memberships at a couple of similar stores, I comparison shop a lot to get the best price, quality, and value. There are things Costco offers that can't be beat. Their discounted gas prices and specials like the range of Kombucha probiotic drinks are some of my favorites. They also have great pricing on bathing suits. It all depends on what you are looking for. I shop across my favorite stores to get the best value for my money. On the downside, the Costco app needs major surgery. It is useless for searches, the functionality sucks, and it is often inaccurate or incomplete. The check out lines are awfully long and could be easily fixed with a Scan and Go option like Sam's Club offers. It would cut the lines by 30%-40%. I took one star off for the abysmal app and long, long checkout lines. Otherwise, I still love to shop at Costco.

This Costco is my go-to place. Everything is neat and clean which makes shopping a lot quicker. Their fast food is always good to eat before leaving and very cheap.

Although very crowded, it’s still easy to navigate within the store. Payment lines are not too bad. I usually prefer to shop online.

The best thing about this Costco is that they always have frozen halal ducks of a very good quality. Other than that, I really dislike this store. It’s always packed, feels chaotic, and some areas look like wild hogs have been through them.

This Costco location is way better than Yonkers! Even though I go to Yonkers more often because I live nearby. Whenever time allows me to; I shop at this location. It is way bigger and it has a gas station! I get to fill up and shop in one errand; talk about adulting excitement! I would definitely recommend this location because of the great customer service, gas station, awesome clearance deals and much more!

An impressive selection of high-quality products at competitive prices, making it a go-to for bulk shopping. The membership model and crowded stores can be drawbacks, but the savings and reliable customer service outweigh these for most shoppers.

The Costco itself is okay, but make sure to have a lot of waiting time to find a parking spot and then 30 minutes to get out in the huge pile-up traffic just to go to the main street. It's a nightmare to go there on the weekend- BUT the traffic in the one by the "Saw Mill " has a better fluent traffic flow.

If i could give a zero star i would. I came to shop for my elderly grandmother and I was refused access because they have this new protocol claiming that if you’re not on the name you cannot shop for your elderly disabled family member.i I would guess your only allowed 1 family household and when i ask the supervisor she claim should could not state the name which id fine. Cause i didn’t like her smart comment stating that my disable grandmother should physical be here and that she also have a disable grandmother so if that truly was the case she should understand the situation. I will be having my grandmother cancel her account. Cause that membership is completely useless to her.

I recently visited the Costco in Rochelle, and I was thoroughly impressed with how well-maintained and organized everything was. From the moment I walked in, the store was clean, shelves were fully stocked, and products were neatly arranged, making my shopping experience smooth and efficient. The employees here are truly outstanding—friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. Whether I needed help finding an item or had questions at checkout, the staff was courteous and made sure I had a great experience. Speaking of checkout, the service was fast and efficient, with plenty of registers open to minimize wait times. Parking was a breeze thanks to the ample space available, which is always a plus when shopping at a busy warehouse store. But the best part? The **on-site gas station**! As always, Costco’s fuel prices were significantly better than nearby gas stations, and the pumps were well-maintained with minimal wait times. It’s such a convenience to fill up right after shopping and save money in the process. Overall, the Rochelle Costco delivers everything you’d expect from the brand—quality products, great prices, and exceptional service. Whether you're stocking up on groceries, household essentials, or just need to fill up your tank, this location is a top choice. Highly recommend!

Where Bulk Dreams Go to Die… Slowly… and with a Chicken Bake First time at Costco New Rochelle and let me say—this place had potential. Shelves were stocked like the apocalypse was tomorrow, and everything sparkled with organizational pride. It was like walking into a warehouse version of Disneyland. That’s where the magic stopped. Need help finding something? Good luck. Asking an employee where an item is got me the equivalent of a shrug in sentence form: “I’m not sure… try aisle… umm… maybe 311? Or 12? Or the moon?” After buying enough to stock a bunker, I did what every red-blooded Costco fan does—I headed to the Costco Café for a chicken bake and soda. This is where the real adventure began. I used the self-serve kiosk like the tech-savvy shopper I am. Then stood at the designated “Pickup” area, patiently waiting for my number to be called, because I thought, Hey, I’m in Costco, not Times Square on New Year’s Eve. BIG mistake. 21 minutes later, still no food. No number called. No sign of my chicken bakes. Just me, the crowd, and what looked like a human traffic jam in front of the food counter. I politely approached the register to inquire, where I was met by an employee named Ali, who I can only assume moonlights as a drill sergeant. He barked at me that the right side was for whole pizza pickup, and the left side was for individual orders. How was I supposed to know this?! No sign. No arrows. No map. Not even a friendly New York City pigeon pointing the way. Still, I returned to the correct side. Five more minutes passed. Meanwhile, 15 golden chicken bakes sat on display, taunting me like a carbs-filled mirage. I asked Ali again if my order was ready. This time, he screamed—yes, screamed—at me to look at the “stack of tickets” coming out of the machine and “wait my turn.” Total wait time? Over 30 minutes for 2 chicken bakes and a soda… and a full-blown verbal assault. Listen—I didn’t come here for fine dining, I came for melted cheese and chicken wrapped in dough and a soda. But I didn’t expect to be treated like I was trying to smuggle frozen shrimp in my pockets. Costco, I love you, but this was chaos wrapped in rudeness, dipped in confusion, and baked at 400 degrees. Please train your staff, add a sign or two, and maybe remind Ali that yelling isn’t a food group. You got two stars because the chicken bake was good… once I found it… and recovered emotionally.

Well what not to tell about this place. It is great. I always find a lot of deals on this costco and the cook food is great. I go at least 4 times a week during my break from work to buy. The lines can be tricky depending on the time you go, but I always go during 11 am and the other Lines can be long but in the express line I go fast. I do find this store to have other things that are not available in other costo.

The experience at this Costco was disappointing due to the staff's lack of respect. They don't say "excuse me" and just push past you. I even got hit with a cart, and no one bothered to apologize. The employees seemed robotic, almost like zombies. However, I gave it three stars because the bathrooms were incredibly clean, and this Costco offers a wide variety of products at great prices. If the staff's attitude improved, this location could be much better.

A worker exhibited blatantly racist and unacceptable behavior by accusing my mom and me of adding more oranges to a sealed orange bag. Despite all the bags containing the same amount of oranges, she insisted there were "too many" in ours. When my mom, who doesn’t speak English, questioned her, the worker responded mockingly, saying, "I don’t understand your language" in a loud, offensive tone. After addressing her, she claimed she needed to go get a new bag but instead she emptied half of it and returned it to us as if it were a new bag even though we had already paid for it. This behavior is disgusting and completely unacceptable, showing a lack of professionalism, respect, and basic human decency.

The new open-pump indicator lights at Costco New Rochelle are fire! Resonably priced petrol and surprisingly not crowded the day before Labor Day. Two Thumbs Up!

Large parking lot. Avoid weekends if possible since it will be extremely crowded. Must have Costco card to enter. Can't use any credit card except Costco credit card. You can use debit card or cash. Wholesale price. Cheaper than most places. Little bit disorganized but it is ok.

a good store and a much better selection than in Connecticut, and a larger assortment, there is also alcohol and not only that, take your family friends and relatives and run here;)

What can you say? The best! Just avoid coming on weekends if you don't want to feel like in a JZ concert.

Always packed but can't go wrong with the 4.99$ roasted chicken or the 1.50$ hot-dog. They always have great deals like 12 croissant for 5.99$ and other baked good or pastries for cheap. Perfect place to fill up your pantry .They also redid the parking lot wich look nice.

Been a member for such a long time because of the variety of items you can buy. I always buy my family's eye glasses and get prescription sunglasses as well as contact lenses. Everyday and big ticket items are such great prices. I also bought my food saver and bags here so i can breakdown larger food packages into smaller ones for the freezer. Saves me so much for some prep and planning.

This is the best place to come and buy in bulk. If your a member you can get gas at a discount and get your tires done as well. They have a small food court for when your hungry, a pharmacy to pick up your meds. This place is where I come at least once a month to buy my large items that will last longer than In the regular store. The items are affordable but you must be careful because before you know it you will wind up paying more then you plan too. There are a few downsides, one is the parking, even though there is a lot of space to park most people try and park as close as they can and it can cause some strife between people. Second is the lines at check out, they can get really long really fast and move real slow. My suggestion would've been to come early but it gets crowded early, it can be even worst on the weekends. But overall just like at BJ best place to co.e and shop for bulk items.
