When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those items are then sold at our Family Stores. Proceeds are used to fund our Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those struggling with drugs and alcohol find help, hope, and a second chance at life.

The manager, who is a heavy set black woman, is very rude and OVERPRICED everything. She always gives people a dirty look.

I have never been to such a boujee Salvation Army in my life! I’ve always struggled finding good quality items at any Salvation Army I’ve been to- this location has completely changed my mind for the better! I found an authentic European fur coat with real leather for $40- worth thousands, and a Uniqulo puffer worth over $100 for $10. They have multiple ballgown dresses worth hundreds with tags attached and so much more! This Salvation Army is my new favorite thrift store. A true hidden gem!!
I enjoy going to this Salvation Army to check things out. Unfortunately, (for you, the consumer) every Monday morning at 10:00 am when a new color tag comes out for $.99, there is one or two women filling up their carts with every single piece of clothing that is $.99. I think it is wonderful for the Salvation Army to make $100-$200 within the first hour of opening up on Mondays, and these women may be giving these clothes to a wonderful cause, but I prefer to look elsewhere for clothing.
I asked the cashier a question, she looked at me as if I was a bug. When I was done and stood on line to pay she didn't look at me. Answerd the request of someone behind me. Them just walks away. I asked the other cashier if she was coming back, he said yes...I waited...when I asked the gentleman again, if he would take care of me, he told me to get in the back of the line.
I declined and he acted like I communicated a crime. Stood at my spot...until a woman 'looked like a manager came and took care of me. When I asked to see a tray in the glass. She basically threw it at me, as if, "how do I dare make a request after I have made my purchases".
What is wrong with these people acting like "Soup Nazis" - a Sinefeld reference.
The place is high, parking available, cloths n items clean n in great condition. Some still have item tags. This is a great place, it's one of my favorite places to go. Employees great, professional n helpful!
The quality of this thrift store has remarkably gone to the pits. Everything is polyester, cheap, broken, they hoard all the mediocre and fake designer behind the counter. Everything is over priced, this store is Greedy and I would not recommend donating or shopping here.
Very overpriced! The light toned cashier with the glasses always has an attitude. You give donations and they do not say thank you. Horrible store, horrible customer service.
I am attempting to donate 3 garbage bags of mostly new clothing to the Salvation army at 525 North Ave in New Rochelle. I called and was connected to the store and spoke to a guy. The connection became bad and I started saying hello, hello, hello but the person on the other end pretended he was still having a conversation with me and ended the call as if we had ended the conversation but I was still saying hello, hello, hello. When I called back I got a message saying something was wrong with the phone line. I will continue to support the Salvation Army but employees like this are what's running your organization into the ground. This interaction was very disheartening.
This lady right here was so mean to us at the register, she didn’t want to help me pack my stuff even tho there wasn’t people on line, i gave her a hundred and she said she couldn’t take it because it seemed fake, even tho it wasn’t. idk if she was having a bad day but may god bless her!
The front desk lady with glasses was extremely rude and unprofessional when my friend and I went up to the front counter as expected when purchasing an item if you decide last minutes that you don't like it the cashier could always take it back unlike this untrained employee who picked an argument with 13 and 14 girls who were quite shaken by her rude response. She handled our items hostile and aggressive, which led to one of the items being broken, which felt like it was on purpose. For our first-hand experience, it wasn't a great one.Hopefully, this store has better judgment when picking their employee's next time.
Very large selection of clothing. Mostly reasonably priced. Some good brands. I found clothing that I needed for my kids' costumes for a play here, after I made some minor adjustments. Not as good of a selection on the home goods side.
I'm so glad I finally made it to the Salvation Army's New Rochelle location. It isn't big but definitely not small. The prices are fair and I can't wait to go back.

Highly overpriced!! The prices are more than buying the exact item at a department store. Prices need adjustments. Customers go to the Salvation Army to buy affordable clothing and housewares. This place is absolutely ridiculous with the prices. Change the prices or loss customers.
I traveled from another borough in Manhattan to be diss appointed. When l walked in l saw a case with shoes and the prices were astronomical. One pair had a price tag of $164.00. Are you for real?? Someone gave them to you and you have the audacity to sell for an outrageous price.
Prices are higher than shopping at Department Stores or Target. Ridiculous and a waste of time. The store is supposed to have reasonable prices to help the community. I saw items marked at higher prices than if purchased new at a Department store or online.
Has anyone tried using the phone service from this number lately? Appallingly bad. Doesn't connect properly to the stores. long winded repetitive recorded operator wastes a ton of time as you just try to speak to staff at a store about what they will take and if they are even open - as the info about the store online is equally confusing. another example of really bad management that could save the customers and the staff so much time if it was recorded and then TESTED. This is a way to lose good donations out of donor frustration
The Salvation Army is so dingy. All of them are. The employees are great but the customers are freaking insane. Be prepared. Parking isn't a problem. Lot behind the store. Call before donating furniture. Lots of mall brands but I've found treasures so worth a quick look.
Ive been to this store a few times good selection, I am usually only buying cds and dvds (usually all very clean and well organized). but they have a great selection of clothing that I see as I pass through. I even bought a really nice leather jacket accidentally as I went to the register.
Best....cleanest....most. organized store i have ever been in. Manager is GREAT and keeps store in great condition
Salvation army one of best charities. Books are open for all to see wonderful work it does.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They make your visit a most enjoyable experience. The manager knows her clothing and always has a great recommendation. You can see how much she truly loves her job.
The store's website says it opens at 9:00am on Saturday. We arrived at 9:00 and saw employees inside. No one opened the door until 9:30. This is purely poor management. People come to donate and buy to support this organization and the good it does for those who need help. This shows the employees at this shop are not interested in mission and reputation of this organization. I am truly disappointed and will look to donate my goods to a different organization.
