Yesterday, I visited your location to purchase a battery charger because my car had stopped working. I asked the sales associate if the charger came pre-charged, and he assured me it did - not once, but twice. However, when I got to my car and tried to use it, I discovered it wasn't charged at all. I immediately returned to the store to inform the associate of the mistake.
To my surprise, another coworker intervened, stating that the chargers don't come pre-charged and that I wouldn't find one that does. What's frustrating is that this same coworker was present during the initial purchase and remained silent, only speaking up when I returned to complain. If she knew the chargers weren't pre-charged, why didn't she correct the sales associate or inform me at the time of purchase?
When I exchanged the charger for jumper cables, the sales associate sought approval from the same coworker, who I assumed was a supervisor. However, she audibly disapproved and walked away without assisting, prompting the associate to call another manager to approve the return.
The entire experience was disappointing. As a Sales Manager myself, I understand that mistakes happen, but it's how you recover that matters. The sales associate's error wasn't the issue - it was the lack of customer-centric approach in resolving it. Whoever that sales person is, they could benefit from retraining on customer experience. Making the moment right for the customer is crucial, and it's clear that there's room for improvement in this area.
I’ve had very bad experiences in this store. Bad customer service, they just sell anything, and don’t care if that work for your car or not. Please be aware of it, if you are not an expert they won’t explain anything to you or help you out to find what you need for your car.
Excellent service at Advanced Auto Parts! Quintin and Keith were incredibly helpful and friendly. They not only helped me find the right wiper blades but also installed them for me quickly. I truly appreciate their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile. Highly recommend this location!
TJ was really helpful with testing my alternator and battery (which needed replacing) and also with replacing my wiper blades. Would definitely recommend — much better than going to the dealer…!

I called the store ahead of my visit & my products were waiting for me at the cashier. They were out of one item, but the cashier ordered it & I was able to have it picked up by 8 AM the very next morning.
Advanced Auto Parts was awesome! I bought the wrong thing online but the service person Tejpreet quickly helped me return it and figure out the right part. I don't buy a ton of auto parts but the prices seem fair. Very clean and organized store and easy parking too.
Update 7/30/23: Advanced Auto Parts North Ave. is still awesome. My car had little to no oil and no coolant and I had no idea what I needed but by the time I left the store Quinten had me completely sorted out and I had every confidence I had the right products and he even gave me some tips on checking the oil. Store is still very clean and organized and obviously well run.
Terrible customer service. Waited patiently while 1 person was on the phone and another taking care of another customer. Finally after he gets off the phone he calls someone out from the back to help me at the counter. So she comes up front already with an attitude because she actually had to do something. Soon as she gets to the counter she answers the phone instead of helping me. I will never be back to this store. Walked out.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Walked in greeted the employees & was completely ignored. I was the only customer in the store yet i was waiting too long for help. Walked out.
I have been struggling with may 2017 HONDA CIVIC’s AC for the FIRST time since I got it (I know, common Honda issue). BROKE DOWN ON ME AT THE START OF THE SUMMER HUMID HEAT!!! CARLOS AT NEW ROCHELLE’S ADVANCED AUTO PARTS!!!! IS THE REAL DEAL when it comes to a wide variety of Auto parts store & one of the most helpful, well informed, salespeople that you will come across (when it is hot out & you are stuck!) MOST OF ALL, SAVED ME A TON on unnecessary AC repairs. I SEARCHED! NECESSARY PARTS and INFORMED SALESPERSON! You have to beware not to get duped… Researched online, YouTube, I have learned everything about recharge, Freon, compressors, condensers, fuses, leaks, checking for leaks, … He found all the different part for my particular issue and solved my problem and took me through the process which helped me make sense of everything I researched!
Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly took care of all my needs very quickly. They were also very professional and will be going back for future purchases and would also recommend others to go there
Other auto parts stores did not stock the item I needed. Also bought additional items here, once I understood they have wide selections available. Friendly service. My first choice now
The staff are EXTREMELY helpful. I had to pick up parts for my mechanic in which I know NOTHING about and they got in the phone with him and were able to provide me with everything I needed and eased my stress level tremendously
Arrive at the store and I’m going to buy an old man who seem friendly at first. when I thought asking for help he stated that they would help me.. . Four people at the register.. no customers inside and I was totally ignored.. I spoke both English and Spanish trying to get them attention. But they were all rude and ignored me . They want to attract more customers to that empty space of a store.. BUT WITH THAT TYPE SERVICE. I DOUBT IT. I was reading all of the reviews and they all the same repetitive(FAKE).
I don't know it's all of them but definitely some people working here need to learn what is customer service. Had a most disrespectful experience ever in my life.
So happy that Advanced auto parts is in the area. I absolutely hate going to the autozone that is on main street. Such a disaster of a parking lot. Since Advanced is here and has a big enough parking lot to support their customer base, bigger and better selection, and more knowledgeable staff there is no need to go to the other place anymore.
Watch the dates on the stuff you buy from there. Especially on batteries. Some of the counter guys won't think twice about selling a battery that's been sitting on the shelf beyond the point where they should have sent it back. There's nothing worse than thinking you're putting in a new battery to then discover it won't hold a charge because it's already over a year old.
love visiting this advance auto parts location. not only is staff very helpful they actually take the time to locate the part for you.prices are great for quality non refurbished parts. they always have hard to locate parts for all my European model cars. great team work advance your crew is the best.
Don’t waste your time here go to either NAPA or autozone. Bought a part for my car stopped working in less than 2 months. Came back to see what can be done they told me they would give me another one mind you these parts are re-manufactured. Was speaking to the store manager told him the parts aren’t re manufactured up to standards he gets so defensive saying he’s been working there for 16yrs. Like good for you for ringing people up for 16yrs that wasn’t what I was saying I was taking about the back end of the company like distributors. Maybe new company policy should be to have the store managers take a refresher on how to speak to customers !! Oh and turns out they ended up giving me the wrong part the first time smh.
This was the most outstanding service that I’ve ever received. I’m a mother with two young boys and as I traveled from work to pick them up, while on the highway my car almost shut off. The fright that I had was breathtaking, grateful to have made it home safe. I quickly picked up my children and headed over to a place near me “Advance Auto Parts”. I was greeted by a welcoming and helpful General Store Manger Raul. This amazing man offered his assistance as well as Chris and Ramon, they spent time to figure out what was wrong and after a few long minutes, fixed the problem to ensure my children’s safety as well as my own. I can’t thank them enough for not only providing outstanding service but doing it with care and empathy. Absolutely fantastic Raul please keep up the amazing customer service. I will always give you my business.
It was a clean store. But the only thing that made me give her the 3 was everything I kept picking up the prices were different when you got to the counter.
I have to say that I've been pleasantly surprised by the how knowledgeable and efficient the staff has been my last few visits. The prices are similar to other vendors in the area but the consistently good advice has been priceless. They take the time to explain how things work and will make certain that it is the right product for your vehicle.
I like learning about car maintenance and have been able to save $ by turning to them for my vehicle's needs. They do not appear to just want to make a sale and are willing to admit when they don't know the answer, but are determined to learn.
