DO NOT GET TOWED HERE MY CAR WAS TOWED AFTER ACCIDENT THEY CHARGED 900 DOLLARS AND ALOT OF STUFF MISSING FROM MY CAR AND CONSOLE RIPPED OPEN

They have taken good care of my car for years. I never had problems. The vehicle ran well. I am now moving out of the area and will miss them. Very trustworthy, honest and reliable. They never did any work without asking first and quoting me a price, and never replaced a part or did unnecessary work just to make more money. My car dealership couldn't find an ongoing problem years ago, but Intercontinental did. I've been with them ever since. I highly recommend this place. Thank you, Tom and your great workers!

Reliable, quick repair work that can’t be beat! I’ve brought my car here to be repaired on several occasions. Once when a deer ran into my car, once when someone hit my car while it was parked and several other times for inspections and routine maintenance. The work is always done quickly and I have been informed about everything that is being done along the way. Mike explains everything and is one of the most helpful people I’ve come across. Highly recommend .

The worst thing that could exist, they changed an engine for me and it didn't turn out well, supposedly they gave me a guarantee and I had to pay again and they treat one with the worst misconduct I don't recommend them to anyone apart from paying almost 8 thousand dollars I decided to throw my car away every time I took it to check that it was no good what they did they changed something else and I had to pay for another part and labor, to end up throwing the car away because they never fixed it

Shady and dishonest. They buy parts from a warehouse in Connecticut that sells garbage parts mostly made from the cheapest materials and sell them at dealership prices. SCAM SHOP!. Be careful of services charged and not done. AVOID THEM COMPLETELY. Tommy will call around for list prices on parts and sell the lowest quality to the customer. CROOK.

Criminals. Do not let your car get towed here. Tried to shaft me with all these extras that insurance adjuster didn’t agree to before they released my car. Can’t say for sure, but they seem very comfortable with insurance fraud. If you’re not - stay far away.

My wife and I have been customers of Intercontinental for 18 years. We have experienced consistently excellent service from Tommy and his staff over these years, covering seven different vehicles and ranging from routine maintenance to major overhauls. Just last week Tommy fixed a problem with the air bag in our Rav4 for 1/4 of the cost that Toyota would have charged. He identified exactly which component needed replacement rather than charging us for the whole system, lowering our cost for both parts and labor. He and Mike know how to get the most out of a car, fixing things before they become real problems but not before it's really necessary, and their work has always been of the highest quality. We really appreciate their expertise and trustworthy advice.

Absolutely horrific - I was mistakenly tricked into bringing my car to this scam shop. I had a tow truck sent to my vehicle by All State Motor Club, which was supposed to bring my vehicle to an alternate location. The man who came to towthe vehicle quoted me at $500-600 to fix an A-frame and control arm, which is what he stated was wrong with the car. I accepted this quote and allowed him to tow my vehicle to this shop (mistake number one). A couple of days later, the office called me with a new estimate that was DOUBLE the original quote. I agreed to pay this price for them to fix my A-frame & control arm so my vehicle would be able to be driven, as I didn't see any other option. I resolved that I would have to put this amount on my credit card because it would be detrimental to my finances to use any other payment method. When I went to pick my car up, I noted that they also performed a tire rotation. When I simply questioned why a service was performed without my prior consent (as it was never mentioned to me), I was scoffed at. "This is part of the services you were quoted for," they told me. Okay, that's fine, but why was it not mentioned to me beforehand? I inquired further, and then told I no longer would be given the option to pay with credit and was forced to pay over $1000 IN CASH in order for them to give me my car back. I obviously became highly enraged that they would try to force me to pay such a large sum of cash which I realistically could not even afford to do without putting myself in serious financial strain. THE BEST PART? I actually called the police to get involved, and the officer told me this is not the first time a customer has called them to this business because of disagreement with the staff. Really? I would absolutely recommend to anyone with half a brain to never, ever bring their vehicle here to be serviced. They're nasty, rude, and inconsiderate and I am legitimately shocked that they are even still in business. I wish there was an option to give 0 stars, because that's what this company warrants. Despicable.

We may have also gotten scammed into having our car towed here after Mike showed up when I called for roadside assistance from my insurance. He was super friendly and convinced me he'd take good care of us, figure out what the problem was and let us know before we ended up spending more money than the car was worth (we have a 2007 Prius with 230,000+ miles on it)... a week and $1100 later (after being told the problem was fixed and the parts were only "a few hundred") the car lasted one 10-mile trip before it stopped working again. Mike responded immediately to my text and said he'd come check the car out first thing in the morning, so we'll see... hopefully I'll be able to update this review with something really positive and another few stars, but for the moment I am very disappointed. I should have just had the car towed to the Toyota dealership as planned.

My 2013 Cadillac XTS Lost Its Rear Air Ride Suspension After Being Replaced Two Months Ago By Cadillac Under Warranty. Intercontinental Showed Up To My House In 30 Min. The Tow Driver Mike Not Only Tried To Get The Airride Working So We Could Get The Car On The Flatbed, He Worked Extra Hard To Get The Car On And Off The Flatbed From My House And At The Dealership Without A Scratch. I Would Defiantly Use Them Again And Recommend Them To Anyone Who Needs Service Or A Tow For There Car. I Will Defiantly Use Them For Any Of My Next Car Service Needs. Jeff White

Excellent service!!! Thank you Mike so much for taking care of us in our time of need... Got a flat tire in a potentially dangerous situation .. Very fast service and he made us laugh all the way to the shop.. In and out in less then 20 minutes .. I felt safe driving home after that ... I highly recommend their service for not only a flat tire , but for any car repairs .. I finally found a repair center I am more than happy with and will return with any work I need to have done ..

My car is 13 years old so a certain amount of noise and rumbling was something I had become accustomed to. I've taken my car to numerous places in Harrison and nearby in Mamaroneck and White Plains. All of these shops returned my car to me with this same rumbling/rattling sound over the front passenger tire. A friend turned me onto Intercontinental, I dropped my car off and just asked them to look over it. Wouldn't you know, for less money than ANY of the other shops, I got a silent car back! My car gets better gas mileage, doesn't rattle or pull at all like it used to top it off, my car came back CLEAN! Inside and out for no charge at all! Love Tony, the owner, and all of the guys there. They worked with my time schedule and took the time to explain the work and the charges before they did anything! Love them! I recommend them to everyone I know now.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! AVOID AT ALL COST!!! i don't even know where to begin! We have roadside assistance through AMEX and they provided us with a tow by this company. We were towed to their shop but before agreeing to be towed we asked for rough pricing for an alternator. Let me add we knew the problem with the car before the tow truck had even arrived. So the tow guy Mike priced us roughly 350 for parts and labor. The following day we follow up with the shop to ask for exact pricing and their price doubled. They were charging us 700 for parts and labor. We decided not to go ahead with the shop because we felt were were given the "bait and switch" bad business we decided to go elsewhere. This is where it got interesting, they then told us we would be charged 100 for looking at the car, where 1- we already knew what was wrong with the car and 2- we were told that we would not have to pay anything if we decided not to go through with services. We were upset but did not want to risk anything else with the car so we agreed to pay. They then said they would only accept cash for this transaction because they feared we would fight the charge.... what? So i went personally into the shop after much back and forth on the phone and decided to pick up my car immediately. I arrived at the shop and spoke with the owner Tommy who i explained that i am willing to pay the charge Amex or Visa which ever they preferred, but i was not paying cash. In a very unprofessional manner he stated " so you're telling me how you're going to pay me?". So he refused to give me my car unless i paid cash, this is when the yelling and arguing began. Some elderly lady who i was told was his wife was yelling and cursing at me telling me i would not get my car and to " get the F out". They then pushed us out of the office and slammed the door. I had to call the police , and finally got my car back. This place does not know or understand the concept of PROFESSIONALISM. They lack any education as they were unable to carry a conversation without yelling and cursing. i went to the dealership and paid more and it was worth every penny to deal with actual human beings.

Absolutely horrible customer service. They treat you like they are doing you a favor. Been trying to schedule the insurance inspection, but gave up and have found somewhere else. I called on the 2nd July and a lady told me the person that does the inspection wasn't in anymore and inspections were only done at certain times, but that he would be there on friday, the 3rd July. So before I went in on Friday I called to let them know, only to find out that he was off due to the holiday. So I called later on friday and they said I could bring the car on monday and just needed to give them a quick call. I called earlier and asked if I could bring the car for insurance inspection. I got confused with the inspections as this was the first time I was doing it. I took the car anyways as it was really close to me, only to find out again, the person was not there. Regardless, they really do not make an effort to treat you well, starting from when you call them. It's totally unnecessary to go through this type of situations, there are other places that will not treat me like this and do the same service.

Horrible service. Requested a tow truck and and waited nearly 5 hours before giving up after repeated calls from the driver saying they were "on their way." I could have had a tow truck from Boston get to Mamaroneck faster than Intercontinental could. Don't waste your time with these clowns.

Completely unprofessional. The concept of customer care is unknown to them. These crooks are being contracted to do roadside assistance by major insurances and car clubs. Given initially 45 mins wait time for tow truck to arrive, I gave them a call to check the status after 1hr and was told to wait another 40 mins. After I politely suggested that it would be more than 2 times more that initial estimate, the lady (if I can call her that) on the other side of the line became very rude and agitated and told me that I need to cancel the call and hung up on me. So if you are ever in need of roadside assistance or a tow truck, and your car club or insurance tells you that they are going to dispatch Intercontinental- request another provider. You will thank me later
