I had a really good experience at Mavis Discount Tire. The service was quick and professional, and they kept me in the loop the whole time so I knew exactly what was going on with my car. The managers were especially great — friendly, hands-on, and you can tell they care.
Had an oil change. Didn't take long and staff were friendly. Also, I didn't know they do complimentary tire rotations, lug nut inspection, battery test and brake inspection.
I was quoted a price of $334. for 2 Cooper tires studded n mounted tires. I was charged $359.The estimate quoted was suppose to include tax n ALL charges $334.20 Beware when they ask for a deposit for the tires because I was told that they take a $25 deposit for the 2 tires ( which the technician said were there so it’s not like they ordered them) and they don’t return the deposit they apply it on the bill which I was NOT told. LEGALLY per NYS law I should have been told my deposit was non refundable which I was not They failed to honor what was the estimate of $334.resulting in me paying 359.20 including the deposit . To me this is deceptive. Additionally, beware they ( the Greenville store) charge more than some other Mavis stores and other tire businesses for studding ($79. for studding 2 tires) and claim they give you a “discount” on the tires when the exact tire can be found for a similar price elsewhere not on sale I called customer solutions after getting no help from the store yesterday and they never called back So my business and my families won’t be using them again
This Mavis location has improved massively, the new group of guys take care of business and do not try to up charge like most of these shops try to. Could not be happier!
I came here for a single tire change. In 15 minutes I was on my way, as opposed to the Troy location where I waited 6 hours for the same single tire change service. 5 stars to the Greenville location in my book.
Upon visiting Mavis for two tires, the shop staff promptly brought me to my car to demonstrate the necessity of replacing all four tires. They also advised me to have the alignment performed due to the wear and tear on my tires.
Expressing my limited financial resources, the manager at Mavis demonstrated exceptional customer service and collaborated with me to find a suitable solution. The service time was relatively efficient, and I highly recommend this establishment for future visits!!
NEVER GIVE Mavis ,”Discount,” tires is probably the most predatory car mechanic shop in the nation. I had an issue with my car on vacation. I was quoted at $800 worth of work at the end of the day. I had to come back the next day for the work to be done. They said I would need $2100 worth of work to fix my issue the next day when I brought in the car. They said I needed new tires and front breaks to fix my issue bare minimum because I didn’t have $2100. Regardless That didn’t fix my issue AT ALL. I took a chance and drove the car home to my local mechanic all I needed was rotors and rear break pads for $400. DO NOT EVER GIVE MAVIS YOUR BUSINESS.
I hit something on the road which punctured my tire 5 miles away from Mavis. I walked in 45 minutes before they were closing, and they had someone ahead of me and only one Technician available. It looked like they were not going to be able to replace my tire until the next day, and I was two hours from home. Amanda was really helpful and the guy that was with her behind the counter said that he would just do it himself and he did a great job. There was a huge metal thing that looked like it was part of a truck break rotor stuck in the tire. I was in and out of there and under an hour, and I’m really grateful they went the extra mile to accommodate me. Not very common to find customer service like this anymore!
Had some work done again at this Mavis. Was there a few months ago and had my car serviced and a great deal on new tires. Today I had shocks and struts put in. Got a coupon which gave me a good price. Tom the manager runs a tight ship and is great at customer service. Jake, who worked on my car was amazing and explained everything to me. It’s great to know that I have a local place that I can go to where I can trust that I’m going to get the job done well and at a good price. Keep up the good work guys !!
Had the alignment done on my car twice because they didn't do it properly. Just left for the 3rd time and it's still wrong. Don't waste your money because they will never do it right.
While pulling my fithwheel through the Catskills my brakes over heated and needed to be replaced. I scheduled an appointment online at the Mavis in Greenville, NY. The manager, Thomas, greeted me at the counter and I explained my situation. The brought the truck in and replaced front and rear pads and did a brake flush and replace with new fluid. They did this in a timely manner and I'm happy with the work.
The Greenville Mavis crew are amazing! I got tires done about two months back, today a bubble appeared in my tire and had no clue why. The manager Thomas was super accommodating & got me right in for a new tire. Highly recommend stopping whether it’s by appointment or emergency.
A year later and this still rings true. Jake is so helpful and professional and every time I’ve gone back I am happy to know I’m getting great service.
The customer service made all the difference for me! I came in for a simple oil change and to have a tire plugged and I was welcomed immediately with a smile and within one hour my car was taken care of and I was walked to the door. The gentlemen here offered to take a look at anything else I may be concerned with as well. I will only be coming to this Mavis for all work I can have done, I have never had such a pleasant, fast and professional experience at any auto shop. This is how every place should be!
Mavis Greenville is amazing! Rolled with my complicated car and its sensors for snow tire changeover without a hitch. Thank you Jake and Thomas for being so polite, responsive, communicative, and fast! Highly recommend this shop!
The tech was on FaceTime at the front desk, I came in for an alignment and heard hammering coming from my truck and went to look what they were hammering on and my front tires were off my truck and they were hammering a socket onto the lug nuts on the rear then proceeded to smack the lug nuts on the floor to try to free it from the socket. Came back and said I needed new lug nuts but that’s not what I had come in for and they should not have touched them. Got my alignment done and ended up needing my front tires balanced and went to leave and a wheel weight came off while pulling out of the parking lot.
Let’s face it - none of us like spending money on our cars, especially around the holidays. Alan made my experience less painful by being kind, courteous and professional. My car was finished when he said it would be, my interaction was pleasant and my car runs like a dream. Thank you Alan, for always going above and beyond.
Had the most pleasant service here that I have ever experienced. I was able to get in that day, I waited the expected amount of time they told me it would take, the pricing was amazing and the customer service was impeccable. I was so impressed with how competent and friendly the entire staff was. Definitely going to be a returning customer and would highly recommend to anyone
I can't recommend this Mavis enough! I received the quality of service and care that you'd expect from a small family owned business. More so than other shops in the area that are mom and pop shops. The staff at Mavis always goes above and beyond to make sure I'm getting the best price, giving honest opinions about the repairs on my 2006 Jeep, and offering their expert advice for maintaining my car between service. They're quick and very communicative. We bring all of our household cars here.

Corey the mgr. and the team here are excellent. They are friendly and get the work done in a timely efficient manner with reasonable costs. I go here 2x every year to have winter tires mounted and swapped for summer tires.
