Can’t recommend Bob and BCI enough. True professionals who took on a challenging job (that 2 other shops have tried to address) and not only made it right, but made it right with gusto. Bob is talented, transparent, communicative and a true car guy. An absolute pleasure to work with.

I would like to thank Bob and Isaac for the great work they did on my 1966 Mustang. Even though Bob was fully booked, he took the time to listen and fit me in. I brought the car in rough shape, and Bob and his team brought it back to life. I truly appreciate all the hard work, problem-solving, and dedication they put into it. Everyone was respectful, attentive, and really listened. Highly recommend!

Shops like this are becoming rarer every year. Bob is not only an amazing guy but an even better mechanic. I brought him a 1963 Jaguar E-Type Roadster after a local shop had completely botched the job. The car went in running rough, with gearbox issues and a nonfunctional electrical system. As a first-time customer, I was blown away—Bob spent two straight weeks on the car, kept me updated throughout the process, and even encouraged me to come drive it home myself. I made the three-hour trip to his shop (which, by the way, is full of incredible cars) and drove the Jag all the way home without a single issue. Honestly, I’m not sure these cars could have done that when they were new—especially in summer heat and traffic. Bob and his team are true old-school Jaguar lovers and honest, highly skilled mechanics. They aren’t the cheapest—but is the best service ever the cheapest? I’ll definitely be back.

"When I think of 'classic' car service, I usually think of overpriced, shoddy work and a bad attitude. But for the first time, a 'classic' experience brought a smile to my face. I took my 1982 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce—a car not known for easy electrical fixes—to Briarcliff Classic Car Service, and now it's running beautifully. To be honest, just running was a major improvement! Bob, the owner, is a true motorhead—I think oil runs in his veins. He only did what was needed, even giving my car a shine before I picked it up. I was thrilled with the service and the bill, which didn't require me to take out a second mortgage. If you have a classic car and are tired of the 'classic treatment,' give Bob a call. You'll be glad you did."

Bob and his wonderful crew brought my 1993 Mercedes 400 SEL back to life….I now understand how powerful a great mechanical team can be! I was amazed at the new performance level of my 31 year old automobile 🚗. I want to let everyone know how happy I was and relieved to find a garage I can trust with my classic car!!! Thank you Bob.

Bob is a savior! A close family friend passed away and his prized car sat in the garage untouched for 5 years. We took over the care and its restoration. It had wiring issues, body issues, parts needed replacement and we couldn't even get it able to be inspected. Bob meticulously went through the car one issue at a time and followed the road to the next problem until it was fixed. His Jaguar knowledge is impeccable and if you can find someone who cares more about what he does then him, I would be shocked. His parking lot full of treasures shows you how much people trust him with their iconic cars. I enjoy just seeing what else he's working on as much as him fixing our project. We have since wrapped it, powder coated the wheels and are an interior repair and detail away from full restoration. The car has the life it deserves in Joe's honor and we can't thank Bob enough for giving that to us.

My 32 year old Saab Convertible has just returned from Bob Millstein and his team at BCI. Visiting Bob is fun and stress free. Clearly loves his "Classic" cars and wants to see them up and running. Very straightforward about costs, time, and any other challenges coming with age and use. Thanks to all at BCI. Hugh BW

I've been bringing both of my vehicles (vintage and contemporary) to Bob and the team at BCI for more than 8 years now. Bob has been nothing but straightforward, transparent and measured in his approach to servicing vehicles and remedying issues. Bob always takes the time to explain options available if there is an issue with a vehicle and what each one entails, being transparent about pricing and level of effort required along the way. As a serious motoring enthusiast, I respect Bob's approach to maintenance and upkeep, and never have to worry about the work being performed on my vehicles whilst under his care. If you're in the Westchester/Putnam/Fairfield county area, I would 10/10 recommend bringing your vehicle to Bob and the team at BCI.

Bob has been in business for 50 years and takes care of my Austin Healey 3000 (fully restored) and super low mileage XJ6. There is no one better to work on English / classic cars than Bob and his team.

Beyond Outstanding. I have brought my cars to Briarcliff Classic and Imported for 35 years. Bob and crew fix things right the first time, every time. No short cuts, no corners cut. In addition to street cars, I also bring a track oriented car to Bob for regular service. Safety is of paramount importance with track vehicles. Bob and crew are vigilant about pointing out any item that might raise concern. I have never been disappointed. Finally, Bob is an expert on British sports cars especially those from the 50’s and 60’s and has been a valuable resource in situations with friends or business acquaintances who are trying to evaluate how to deal with a classic car. If there is such a thing as a Renaissance Car Guy, Bob is it.

My father had a 1966 Jaguar in his garage for 50 years. Bob and his team did a unbelievable job in bringing this back this car back to life. Today was the first time I was actually able to drive it from the rebuild they did. Wow! I am in shock on how good of a job they did. thank you Bob and team on doing such fantastic work. thanks again. had Bob do a once over this summer. picked it up the other day and had my first leisurely drive. thanks again

I took my 1999 Porsche Carrera to them for the dreaded IMS bearing service/replacement, I dropped the car off on Thursday, and picked the car up Monday, while Bob was doing the job, he recommended doing the clutch, and main seal, since he was in "there" anyway. Fixed a bad ignition coil, and few other items he sorted out, and the car runs as if it just came from the dealer, smooooth as silk, with all it's pep restored. These guys love cars and which is so apparent in attitude and work quality. Couldn't be happier, I have several older European cars that will now be serviced there exclusively.

It’s always so hard to find anywhere that can competently and professionally work on Jaguars. Not only does Bob and his staff work on 1980s and 1990s Jaguars to an amazing level, I’ve also use them for various classics from the 60s to the 2000s. I had a pretty complicated diagnostic issue and problematic (in general) XJS that Bob sorted in less than a week and it now runs and drives better than it ever has by a major degree. Thanks again! -Tom

Took my ‘03 XKR to Briarcliff, to diagnose a few thorny issues that had stumped other “skilled” mechanics — and found out what skill actually is. Briarcliff is the best of the best - they love these cars and know how to make them run as they were designed to — something that even the factory didn’t always do. I will never take my Jag anywhere else from now on — once you experience service and expertise on this level, your search for a partner for your classic car is finished. Bravo.

Great service Bob is extremely knowledgeable, when it comes to classic vehicles. I sent my MGB that wasn't running and within a week of dropping the vehicle they were able to figure out what was wrong with the vehicle. Even after the repair was done Bob calls to check in on the vehicle to see if it's still running properly. Highly recommend to anyone with a classic vehicle great experience and quick turn around on repairs. Will be going back again if needed any service on my vehicle.

I brought my 1966 Pontiac LeMans to Bob to diagnose an engine issue. The care, professionalism and detailed analysis that Bob, Leo and Isaac exhibited have made me a lifelong customer. One might think that Bob only works on foreign cars, but Leo is an expert on domestic cars as well. In addition to their knowledge and expertise all three spent a good deal of time explaining their findings and how the issue was corrected. I couldn't be more pleased and recommend Bob and his team to those who want quality care for their vehicle.

I started coming to Bobs after I moved back into the area. My mom used to use him and it seemed like a natural fit. Bob and his team are great! They are professional, kind and most importantly they really care about their work and they reduce anxiety. Have a problem? Just drop off your car- they will get the job done and done right!

I want to thank Bob and his team for repairing my 97' Jaguar XK8. I've owned the car for 18 years and it runs better now than when I purchased it! Ultimately needed a new throttle body and the ECU rebuilt. I struggled for about a month trying to repair the car myself and finally found Bob's shop via recommendation from Richard Clarkson of the NYC Jaguar club. Bob got me car on the road again and enjoying what's left of the driving season!! Thanks to again to Bob and team as well as to Richard Clarkson for the shop recommendation.

My partner and I had car troubles while driving back from Boston to our home in DC and ended up in an unfamiliar area with a car struggling to accelerate. We called around and no one was willing to even take a look at our car for several days, if not longer. We were lucky enough to give Bob at Briarcliff Classic & Imported a call though and he told us he'd make time for us since we were in a jam. One of the mechanics, Trevor, was able to fix the car on the spot and we were back on the road in no time. Bob and Trevor were both so kind, helpful, and informative. They also charged an incredibly reasonable, small fee for their excellent service. It can be so hard to find trustworthy and friendly mechanics--I'd highly recommend trusting them with any of your car's needs!

After 15 months COVID lockdown I brought my 1953 MGTD in for its’ annual check up at BCI. It was great seeing Bob and Leo after all these months and I was so happy they are still going strong despite what everyone has endured during the pandemic. I’ve owned my car since 1987 and BCI has been keeping it running in tip top condition for many years. These guys are so knowledgeable and I trust them completely. They’re the best!

I recently purchased a 77 Mercedes SL450 without so much of getting it checked out pre purchase. I took a big gamble on the car and wasn’t sure how it would turn out. I brought my vehicle to Bob at Briarcliff Classics and let him take the wheel. Bob is a old world craftsmen from yesterday. He put my mind at ease with the car/purchase and performed all the required maintenance. It’s is extremely hard to find someone with the wealth of knowledge Bob posses with these classic cars. I’m happy to have found him and will definitely be using him in the future.

Superb quality and experience all around. I took my '07 Aston Martin to get a thermostat changed (after trying, and failing, to do it myself). Bob was happy to use the parts I already bought at no additional cost. In addition, I brought Bob new tires to install, and while he was happy to install them, he did not have the equipment to do so, but worked through a neighboring garage to install the tires at no additional cost (or effort) for me. Bob also dropped me & met me at the Pleasantville train station, which is indicative of their high-quality service. If you want the best for your car, talk to Bob at Briarcliff Classic. I highly recommend them!

I highly recommend BCI for your classic or family car servicing needs. I took my 1970 Ford F100 here that was in need of a lot of essential work to get it back on the road. Bob took interest in the story of the truck and why it had sentimental meaning to me. He also understood what I was trying to do with the truck and never pushed me to do more than was necessary. Once my truck was up on the lift, he invited me over to get a good look at the situation. The mechanic talked me through what was needed and what was in good shape. Weather you have a classic ride in need of work or regular service to your minivan, BCI is the place to go.

Bob and the team here are the best! I brought my 1976 MG Midget here to swap out the old ZS Carb with a new Weber Downdraft, they did an amazing job with no issues and in a timely manor! I liked them so much I brought back the car for some regular maintenance as well as a new gauge installation. Briarcliff Classic is the best.

Bob and Dan at BCI are experienced machinists and technicians who will efficiently sort any problem your classic vehicle exhibits. They are specialists in British and German marques but I have see quite a few American classics there as well. If your vehicle brings you pride and joy and require the services of technicians who will consider the special needs of your unique or (now) rare vehicle, you can feel good about the balance of cost and time to get it sorted at BCI. Bob and Dan will share your passion for your vehicle and use their experience, love for classic vehicles and research skills to get it what it needs efficiently and specifically. Because of this approach they spend a minimum of time chasing the problem to isolate it wherever possible and that is what makes me want to call them artisanal.

I brought my 1983 380 SL to Bob for what I thought would be a head gasket and engine rebuild. Bob dismissed my concerns and did a fantastic job at diagnosing the things I needed to get done. He installed a steering wheel hub and that got rid of all the slack that was in my steering. His prices are extremely reasonable for such a skilled professional. He is an amazing mechanic, and it is clear that he loves cars and interacting with customers. He and his team are amazing. Remember, a true mechanic is not expensive, he is priceless.

A fantastic garage. Inspected my newly purchased 1989 Mercedes 560SL and provided clear and honest feedback. It's clear how passionate Bob is about cars and his business. He even answered several of my questions and gave me a lot of information before I even bought the car or scheduled an appointment. Will not go anywhere else to service my car.
