Shorted multiple times by the employees. Not trustworthy, I won't be going here any more due to the headache of wondering if I'll be stolen from. Please hold your employees accountable
We count are cans for them, they except are count .
we bring 2700 cans at a time. They come right out and unload are truck hand us the money off we go. I sure do love this way better than waiting!
They will definitely short you. Shorted the first time. Brought 2 extra bags this time and was given same amount as the first time. One star just for convenience of not having to leave your vehicle.
Absolutely ghetto and a rip off. There's no way my 20 bags that filled my entire car was barely $40. Can't even call or email them because the email and phone number aren't in service! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY
These guys are good (just may have to remind them of the count once if they short you; and they won't forget) I've been going for 2 years now just about.
I would give zero if I could. I averag $4.40 a bag when I return bags of bottles. No I did not count the bottles in the bags but I've been returning in the same fashion for over 20 years. I have returned them myself in the machine so I know how much on average I should get. The can redemptio place in Newark gets it right. I took three bags to Can kings today and they gave me $10 even. What's the chances of it being an exact even number. I should have been getting $12 to $13.50. This happens every time I go there. I normally avoid them at all costs, the only reason why I went today is because it was convenient. Never again! Ever since covid started and they don't let you inside they have always been short changing.
I brought an entire truck load of cans in same size approximately same size I do every 6 months to be told I had $35 (normally $70) equalling 700 cans. Look to my left and see a couple recieve 31 and CHANGE... funny I must have got it right at an even dollar amount. Not to mention I saw how many bags they had coming in. Save your self the trip and this friendly "here sit in your car and wait where it's warm" bit and take them back your self.
After the bottle return in Newark wasnt open, I went to this place and They are awesome. Snowing out and they came out, took the 5 bags of cans and told me to stay warm in the vehicle and they will bring it out to me.
I rushed to get there and was at least 7 minutes before it said it closed and they were closed early. I needed to return the bottles to get gas across the street. Now I am screwed. I even called ahead of time. Super unprofessional.
I have been trying to call the palmyra ny shop and there is no answer. Says it has been disconnected. I was told to call before I show up with returnables. I tend to bring a lot. After reading the other posts, I hope I don’t get ripped off. I still need the telephone #. Thank you
Just get ripped off big time thanks to the kids here don't give them ur business and now ur not allowed in the place so u don't know what they r counting and what ur really supposed to be getting
Count your cans and bottles, folks. I don't know how many times I've been ripped off by the kids who work there, because I just brought bags full, not knowing how many I had. But when I was shorted $5, I noticed.
Then I was ripped off again - $2 this time.
Now I count my bottles and write the number on the bag.
I hate to do this because I want to support local businesses but not if they’re going to rip me off. They’re friendly and do come out to your car to help you with your bags, which is nice. But they also shorted me in my return. I’ve been going there for a while and have thought that I was getting shorted but had no way to prove it. This time I purposely counted before I took them back and counted 80 cans/bottles in a bag. I had 10, of the same bags, completely full. Plus another bag that was bigger than the others. So 11 total bags with about 80 in each bag. That equals 880 cans. Which should come out to about $44. They gave me $33.35. Obviously, we’ll short of what I expected. I did mention my concern to them but their response was “I can show you the receipt”. Which doesn’t prove anything other than that’s the amount they gave me for my returns. I wasn’t going to argue and make a huge deal over $10 so I just left and took it as a lesson learned. I definitely will not be going back there. If you decide to go there, pay attention to your returns because there’s a good chance you’ll be shorted.
Great experience. It was my first time there. I backed my van in and a helpful employee came right out and unloaded all my bags and took them inside, counted them & brought my money out to me. I never even had to go inside. Thanks so much. I just found my new redemption center!
Amazing service, i recently Came in with tons of cans, and not only was the employee respectful and kind. He helped me take the cans out my vehicle, i would Give this location 10 stars if i could!
