The guys are always friendly, helpful, and accurate.
Not sure who owns the property, but the parking lot is atrocious. It's one giant pothole and will destroy your car. When rainy, there is no way to get to the door without walking through several inches of water.
If this business were in a different spot with safer access, I would give 5/5
I AINT NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE COUNT, I'M JUST HAPPY SOMEBODY ELSE IS DOING IT! WISH THEY OPEN ON SUNDAY! I WILL WAIT TILL MONDAY! DAMN SURE WONT TAKE MINE TO JOLLY FARMERS EVER AGAIN!! GOT TREATED LIKE I WAS A DIRTBAG AND A WASTE OF THEIR TIME! ACTUALLY ONLY ONE OLD LADY WAS RUDE !!
if I could give less than 1 star I would! this place used to be a great place with pleasant people, but now under new ownership, we can take 3 44 gallon garbage bags of bottles and cans and every time we do I feel as if we get ripped off! and if your kids wanna go swimming, just send them to the parking lot cuz there are about 10 huge holes that could fit a mack truck in them! and not to mention, the staff are not welcoming by any means....and what redemption center doesn't take glass bottles?!
Past two times I have came during open hours and there has been nobody there. Once was just because the guy left early early with no note, and the other had a note saying it was closing early due to them closing early due to lack of staff. Having to come from far away, so it is upsetting to find out right when I get there that nobody is there. At least they left a note the second time, so 2/5
Great deal and awesome guys that work here! Edit: that was 7 years ago. Now a days they just close when they want to cause they "didn't have customers." I could only imagine why you don't have customers
I have not used this location yet so I wanted to call, well, the phone number listed is wrong. The poor woman who has the number has a very pleasant voice recording explaining this and actually apologizes for wasting your time! Bless her heart! When will the actual phone number be listed???
been a couple of years since I haven't returned. The 1st great owners sold it to these guys. One guy I saw, made me wait intentionally because I stepped up to the counter before he asked me to. Then he started yelling at me to dump cans when he decided randomly. I took him as a total racist and never went back 👎
I was so pleased with the service I received at Broad St Bottles and Cans. The young gentleman who was working was very friendly and very fast. I will be going here to return my cans from now on.
Always fast and courteous service. You might have to wait outside in the elements, but you just work around the weather to drop your cans and bottles off.
It's always a good idea to make sure all your cans and bottles are returnable. If you have a bunch that aren't, they will ask you to take all your stuff back with you for you to sort into your own recycling bin if they aren't eligible cans.
POSITIVE VIBRATIONS! THESE GUYS ARE FAST AND EFFICIENT! Some count in twos some in fives. Some people cannnot grasp the concept as to why or the fact it takes 20 returnables to equal $1 !human error is probably only 5%. For those haters, if you can do thier job better, I suggest you give it a shot.
SMH this is a rip off business... Two people counting, yet they never add both counts together. Grabbing them by the handful is not an accurate count.. First time I let it slide, 2nd time shame on me.. This time 5 lawn a nd garden bags pre counted before we returned them, and return was almost 27.00 under... DO NOT TRUST THESE CON ARTIST... They should be ashamed of themselves, disgrace to the community... I know atheist 10 other community members who have had same issues... They will no longer receive our business, or the business of the local company I work for...
Would give a negative 10 stars if it were possible. I take care of a special needs lady, I gave her 102 bottles to return. I counted them myself. She came out with $ 2.75. I went in to speak with the man inside. He claims he counted 57 bottles. He's a liar! Again, I counted them myself. That guy should be ashamed of himself!!!!!!!!! He was also very disrespectful. Please count your bottles before going there. Or better yet, use Jolly Farm.
I took back 9 extra large leaf garbage bags full of water bottles (which was 2 bags more than last time and received $20 LESS!!!!) DONT take large loads here if you're expecting to get the money from all of it.. I've heard these types before from this place but I wasn't sure if I believed them...NOW I DO!! just because the workers don't get paid much , doesn't mean that they can steal a little from everyone!!!
Good place to take your deposit cans and bottles back. They will sort them and count them for you. I also have an outside deposit box for non-profit fundraisers.
Easy process, just dump the cans and bottles on the table and the workers count them while putting them into the appropriate bin. We had over 1000 cans, and we really weren't there all that long. I have no idea if the count is totally accurate, but didn't matter me. Thankful to have them out of my garage...... and the bonus was that we got the money from them too. 🙂 Thanks for providing this service!
Building is tucked back in between a couple of other building, but signs make it easy to find. Service was very fast and they sorted through all my bags of random bottle and cans brought home from work. Highly recommend.
You can be there over 40 minutes before closing time and wait and be told 10 minutes before your next that they are not counting your cans because they are closing. It shouldn't matter if two people in front with large orders if you arrived prior to closing and waited 30 minutes they should stay the extra 10 minutes to count your cans. Horrible customer service.
They refuse to serve you without a mask. This is an outdoor buisness. Only ONE person counts ALL the returnable. Between the wait, the mask Gestapo, and the drive this place is not worth the 6 cents return. You could get more if you went to wal mart in vestal or big flats.
PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING.I HAVE CAUGHT THEM A BUNCH OF TIMES POCKETING ARE CASH BY A DOLLAR ONE TIME AND NOW THEY DID IT ABOUT 4 DOLLARS!!!!!On a number of times they tell you how much in cans and bottles and when they go to get your money I've added it up today I was shorted 4 dollars last time I was shorted 1 dollar and I've watched them pocket the money after the get ones and by drinks with are money I'm not very happy so for everyone going there when they tell you the final count add it up and see how much they are taking from you. It adds up over time and the dont use the small paper note pads to write it down anymore so who knows if the count is right if anything maybe we should start counting them are self to make sure.
Place has gone down hill fast. Floor is sticky. Place is dirty. Customer service is lacking. Used to be organized, clean and friendly. Don’t know what happened. I’m out !
Love going here for can returns, the guys are fast and friendly. I love not having to be the one to do the sorting like a couple of the other places and the tables they have for counting makes it so much easier then the limited space that Ted Clark's has.
