Be on the lookout when you head to this shop they may charge you for extra items that you haven’t asked for or wasn’t aware of! My wife purchased windshield and light bulb and the agent charged her without even asking the question if she wanted to include the 12 months plan warranty. When I came back to confront him He mentioned she was probably told (not mentioning that he was one the one who helped her). A lie. Never coming back again and highly don’t recommend this store. Customers Check out your bill before leaving this store.

Had bad luck at auto zone so I came here and met James Lloyd, very knowledgeable and helpful. He came to my car to check my headlight (something auto zone said they can’t do bcuz it was electric). James also went out of his way with a phone call and a message to provide me my online order details, which he didn’t have to do. Hands down best first experience! Thank you James

Thank you for going the extra mile for me. You let me know after spending 800.00 in rotors,pads, calipers that my warranty only is good if the part is defective. My pads needed to be replaced again. So I bought them at AutoZone. I will not do business with Shirley advance Auto Parts.

It's such a horrible place to go get parts Advance Auto Parts. You're lucky if any of them in there know what they're talking about, how do you hire people out of automotive parts store that don't know anything about automotive parts. It's like a crap shoot. Everything is completely overpriced and price gouging for straight garbage is what they sell.

They refused to return a headlight bulb that I bought 10 min prior. The sale's person Eddie was very rude and ignorant. I will not do my business again at this disgusting place

I’ve gone through several pairs of windshield wipers. I’ve bought aftermarket ones. I bought the ones directly from Toyota all of them failed. To me it’s not just about Customer service. It’s also about knowledge. Knowing your product, knowing what a customer needs, that’s more important than anything even the price itself. I wish I can remember the gentleman’s name, but I believe he was the manager working that day. It was raining and my windshield wipers once again were not wiping my windows. They were smearing the windows. He sold me a pair of windshield wipers that apparently rain-x manufacturers. I wanna add here that I find it Absolutely astounding that nobody else is aware of these wipers, at least the places that I’ve been to including mechanic shops and the Toyota dealer themselves. None of them ever once told me about this amazing product yes, They were expensive. I will admit that and when I asked what was so special about them, he said, well, you’ve heard of rain-x yes? I replied yes. He then went on to say that these windshield wipers were made by the same manufacturer and the wipers themselves are infused with the rain-x formula. I said “you gotta be kidding. They actually make this?” Yep he said. So, I paid for it. I then asked the guy to do me a favor and before I could even finish asking, he says, let me guess you want me to take the old ones off and put the new ones on & I said absolutely! because I’ll probably screw it up lol.. he put the new ones on and oh my God night and day I could see through my windows again like they were brand new! And this doesn’t happen once, every time I run my windshield wipers.. it’s literally putting rain-x on my window. It’s been a little bit since I went to the store because I wanted to actually see how long it will last and so far I’m extremely happy thank you very much for your amazing customer service and having such a knowledgeable staff!!! ?

The staff here in both commercial and residential sales are great guys I’ve been coming here for years and they all have been here the sales group for a while they are good team and I’m happy to come do business here with them regularly! Thanks guys your appreciated !

Went in to purchase wiper blades. The rear blade won't go on and I was there three times but no one could help physically put it on due to understaffing. I returned it anyway because it just wouldn't fit. They just need more help there. The staff was very nice. The woman working there (I didn't get her name) was very helpful, knowledgeable and sweet. If it wasn't for her, I would probably skip them right now.

Mistakenly given the wrong oil filter and the gentleman at this store arranged to get the right one delivered to my house as I had drained my oil and couldn’t get there, all done within 30 minutes. This is legitimate great customer service and it’s refreshing these days, thank you. I plan on writing a nice email to your corporate about it.

I have found upon numerous visits that the reps are knowledgeable and attentive. Although, you may wait a bit, but not too long, for a rep to ask, how they help you.

Bait and switch... Prices on shelf below products weren't what was rang up , employee stated it was labeled wrong at a $20.00 difference... brought another product up and was $10.00 over labeled price then he finally got up from his chair were he was talking with 2 other employees sitting by him by register and went to look only after showing him a picture and again said mislabeled and went back to sit down ... and didn't fix "mislabeled" products ... went across the street to auto Zone and made my purchase ??♂️

They always seem to have what I need in stock even for a 17 year old vehicle. Prices are always good and there's plenty of parking and the staff is knowledgeable and quick to help.

Always helpful and knowledgeable. Great place for deals on oil. If you have time before a major repair you can definitely get parts cheaper online.

Kathy, store GM, replaced my 3 month old battery which was acting up, with absolutely no fuss, no BS. And she did the replacement herself. I loved her spontaneous dedication to the rather novel (these days) idea of working to ensure a satisfied customer. Thank you Kathy and thanks to AAP for putting your store in in the hands of a very sane, friendly and extremely helpful person.

I visited the advanced auto in mastic/Shirley and was impressed at how the woman were more helpful then anything. There seems to be more females and I was helped by a woman who I think manages the store. She not only helped take my break lights off She found the issue which I had no idea about. Anywhere else I would have wasted money on things that wouldn't have helped me. They were great there and I'll always go back.

Staff very helpful I like it better than Auto Zone. If I needed help with my wiper blades they would help you with it and fluids for my car..very knowledgeable and friendly

Ok prices but cheaper online with promo. Codes. I have found things online 40% cheaper the the store then added 20% off promo and selected pick up at store. Saved $60 on calipers....cheaper then the other online options.

Hit or miss. Sometimes the employees are polite and helpful, sometimes they look like they hate their job. This place usually has everything I need in stock, however the patchogue store has more. Either way it's still better than the autozone across the road

I started going here after giving up on AutoZone for how terrible they were. You wait just as long here, if not longer. The people are rude. I went there to get a new battery, turns out they install new batteries free of charge "at their discretion" which is nowhere to be found on their giant signs advertising for this. It's only found on their website. They made up some BS about how changing the battery could fry my computer, pointing at my fuse box. I'd say only go here if you absolutely have to, and only need to pick up quick stuff like oil or wiper fluid. Otherwise, just order online. It's cheaper and less hassle

Super helpful. They helped us find parts even when it wasn't easy. Other auto parts places simply said "sorry". These guys went the extra mile.
