After going to 3 other auto parts stores and getting the wrong battery twice Yuri was the only one who got me the right one and got me and my bike back on the road.

Today I was very fortunate to receive exceptional top notch service from the Manager Alexander Hesse at Auto Zone Shirley Home Depot Mall. Alexander went above and beyond, even in this extreme heat, offered to take out the old battery in my Dodge Caravan and install in a new one. All this done with a sincere smile. Alexander answered all my questions and provided me with much needed advice. Highly recommend this Auto Zone and this young gentleman. Thank you again Alexander. You set an amazing example as a leader for your staff. ?
My husband just came back from AutoZone and kept telling me that Mateo Z. was so kind, helpful and considerate. He said that Mateo went out of his way to help him! This is definitely an A++++ compliment.
Each time I go to this AutoZone I get treated with kindness and respect. I am grateful for their help . Alex went beyond my expectations on service for a battery I had purchased. Store never has parts that are listed on website , some of the staff has no clue what they are doing and don’t even try to help knowing their are customers waiting on line.
Basic customer service training should be provided. Walk in today around 230pm. I was the only client present. I went to the counter for some assistance and stood there waiting for any kind of acknowledgement from the associate. Even said good afternoon to get some attention but no reaction. They continue with there conversation. Sad part was that the manager was also there and neither took the time to look up and try to help.
Between Nick Alex Steven max and the other associates I think this store has the most competent employees out of any autozone I have gone to by far. Always super friendly and helpful
I had a frustrating experience at AutoZone recently. I called ahead asking for a part, was told it was in stock, and they’d set it aside for me. When I got there, they didn’t have it after all. When I asked if they could order it for me, another employee told me to “just order it myself.” I went in expecting reliable service and left disappointed with the lack of follow-through and customer care. Not the kind of experience I expected from AutoZone.
I ordered a pair of headlight bulbs online for pickup. I went into the store thinking this would be, perhaps, the easiest transaction of all time. I was incorrect. I was not acknowledged while I waited to be assisted. When I inquired, "Is there someone who can help me?" The one gentleman said he was busy doing something else. I waited several minutes until I said, "I'll try again later." I returned later and was literally ignored by the people "working" at the store, who seemed to regard my presence as an oddity, as if this were not a business but a private club for sad, angry, sullen people. A simple, "I'll be right with you" might have helped things along. Anyway, this was my first and last attempt to use Auto Zone. I suppose I'll buy my stupid headlights elsewhere. I get the sense that no one at this particular store cares at all. So, it's a mutual parting of ways.
Very helpful and very good in here. The staff were great and even though they were closing helped me get everything I needed. This dude Johnathan is awesome. He always helps me out.
Literally don't even bother going to the one on Montauk highway, just goto this one. It'll save you a lot of headache the staff here is so much better.
They have most parts needed. Brake items are the best as they come with warranty. Getting speciality parts or checked out at times needs to be better. The duralast gold batteries are very good also .
5 years ago in 2019 i bought a small utility pocket knife that was sitting up front by the register .
I moved to Texas about 3 years ago and have used that little knife countless times ever since . Today I still have it .

Nick was extremely helpful & installed my car battery, it was difficult as my car is old and rusty, but he accomplished the swap and I was sent happily on my way. I will continue to return for all of my auto needs.
Sign on the window states that this business is open until 10pm. I arrived at 9:30pm and the man in the store locked the door and refused out business. Not worth the time of day to shop at this location.
Just got a battery for my Hyundai tonight and the store manager Alex was great. He tested and then installed a new battery for me. What a pleasant experience really helpful courteous though out the installation. Would highly recommend the Shirley Autozone on William Floyd pkwy. Great service and prices. Keep up the good work other stores should be like them
My car wouldn't start in the parking lot of king kullen, I walked to autozone desperate for help and Alex came to the rescue! He happily walked with me to my car and was able to instantly identify and fix the issue. I tried to give him some cash for his time and effort but he politely refused. I've had issues in the past with men at auto parts stores and garages treating me like I'm stupid because I was a woman. Alex was the complete opposite, he spoke to me with respect and explained things in a way I could understand. Absolutely steller customer service. Well done autozone and THANK YOU ALEX!!
My check engine light came on a few weeks ago. I stopped at the location on the William Floyd Parkway in Shirley. Kristen was at the counter and very quickly and kindly was able to diagnose the issue. Thanks to Kristen for being there and for being so helpful to us.
Very polite and helpful. I was buying windshield wipers. The young man tried one set on my car before ringing them up to make sure they were right. They weren't, and he then got the right pair and installed them for me.
Eveyone was super polite and extremely helpful. Special shout out to Jennifer A at shirley auto zone. She was amazing and did an awesome job. She took the time to explain each item I needed and taught me quite a bit on where the products should go . Very informative. Super helpful. Will refer to anyone I know. Thank you. Great service, I would like to give a big shout out and thanks to Alex who took the time to install wiper blades for me and two tail lights that needed replacement. It was a very cold night and this young man was so pleasant , kind and eager to assist me. Wonderful service! Helpful and kind staff! Highly recommend this store!
Raquel is a ROCKSTAR … so I needed a new battery, ran in as soon as they opened and GREAT they have it in stock … But .. it’s Sunday and I’ma girl … how can I change a battery by myself … so I ask if anyone is around to assist … Raquel … mind you this battery was built in the car so it was a beast to remove … she did it like I tie my shoelaces …

Cost 2000.00 to fix. A friends said “no way”... go to auto zone on an Floyd their staff is better! Let them look at your car for the right piece. Alex went out to my vehicle and sized everything right. Both parts were under 60.00 and he showed me how easy it was to install! WAY TO HO ALEX!!! Awesome to not get screwed by “mechanics “ ! I just had the best experience here! I had an idea of what I needed to fix my brake lights and how to do it but Joe knew exactly what I needed and even took the time in the freezing cold to replace my fuse and make sure my brake lights were working before I left. So kind and courteous, there are still good people in this world and two of them work right here.
The worst experience ever. I bought a battery out of the Shirley store two months ago. When I returned it. They told me they will charge me the difference and I'll have to wait for the refund. ( I assumed the difference ) I was charged full price twice $153.00 and another $153.00 $306 dollars. I called them back and they said it was a clinch for the first 153. the other was a computer error that will be fixed within 3-5 business days.
Unfortunately service was slow, severely understaffed. Not to mention they sold me a remanu alternator and it didnt work. Luckily I did the work myself or who knows what I would've paid in labor for the removal,install, remove again , install again. They also gave me my money back without any hassel seeing how it was their fault, I didn't expect anything less. If they hired a few note people who have specific duties things would go faster. Like just a cashier not ccoss trained to do anything else just check people out.
Not sure if I'm very satisfied with this store...
Today was the third time in a month that I tried to find parts and supplies here with no luck.
As I was told, "if you can not find what you are looking for, you might want to check with the other stores on Montauk hwy, Main Street."
But the staff is very courteous to it's customers.
Since this store is still fairly new, it only carries a small selection of parts and supplies.
I guess that they were not expected to receive an overwhelming amount of customers, therefore it is not required to stock up on commonly used/needed items.
I don't think I'd recommend anyone to really go here unnless you needed a battery or coolant.
