It is a great little 1 mile hike. The views are great. Great time of the year for them to open the trail.

Other than some falls not running in some parts off limits we as family enjoyed our time here at Trenton scenic trail...it was nice this time of year

I think it’s BS that a power company gets to pick and choose when people are allowed to access the trail. It was open to the public long before them and it should still be that way

Can not get to the falls. It is on private property owned by the electric company. There is a sign up saying "trail open select weekends only". We were told to get off the property as soon as we parked.

This was a beautiful trail to walk! It wasn't difficult (considered easy for an experienced hiker) but there was quite a bit to look at, and plenty of informational plaques for you to learn about the history. The old pipeline concrete foundation was very cool to see, and the waterfall and gorge was beautiful. Definitely worth going when they're open. It gets crazy for parking the longer its open, so you want to arrive very early. It was a great experience, and my five year old could do most of it on her own, other than the occasional stopping on the uphill parks.

Quite crowded, snacks available for purchase, several waterfalls to see, only portalets for bathrooms and in populated ares

Came out to see this one on memorial day weekend and it's closed. Apparently they are only open select weekends. 4th of July weekend closed

Horrible 1st time and last time. Falls are running very slow, not much water. Power company controls water flow. Being they're only happen 2x a year. They should've had more water for the falls. No trail to walk it was closes
May 06, 2024 -
It's a travesty that the power company disrupts the river's flow and keeps the trail closed 99% of the time.

Beautiful place to go when they're open. Only open a few times a year. If you get a chance, go. Easy walk, but if you have a stroller, bring a off road one. Some stairs.

Only open 2 weekends a year. Pretty falls. Not a lot of water. Quick walk. Went from here to pixley falls.

Beautiful easy hike to see a waterfall gem not usually open to the public
May 21, 2023 -
Excellent trail for a nice walk with a great view of the falls. Take advantage of it while you can, it's only open two weekends a year.

I can say I have yet to even goto this place because of course it's only open 2 weekends a year. But locals do know of other ways to get to the falls. The main reason is people have died here jumping the falls.

This place is beautiful. A nice easy hike for all ages. I only wish it was open more often. But, then it probably wouldn't be so pristine.

I didn't like it, the trail is short and too high to enjoy or photograph the scenes. They close it the whole year and just open it for 2 days a year and make people line up behind to get in there! Oneida County has to take better care and more effort of the natural gems like this. I won't compare it so far but in Upstate NY itself, go see Taughannock Falls, don't you feels jealous of their organization and finished trails?

Beautiful gorge and falls. Short, easy trail. Would be 5 stars if it was open more than 2 weekends a year and if the power company would let more water through the gorge when it is open for viewing

I love Trenton Falls. It was a perfect fall day to get outside and enjoy the views. The volunteers working were very friendly and knowledgeable about the entire area. They have tables set up where you could have a picnic and a little stand selling drinks and snacks. The trail itself is an easy short walk that can easily accommodate families and strollers. At the end of the trail a table was set up that had specimens of different rocks and fossils. This was very interesting and informative. It is unfortunate though that it is only open 2 weekends a year. That would explain the long line of cars and parking issues many people complained about. I wish there was more access throughout the year and that we could venture into areas I remember exploring as a kid.

Great views, plenty of information along the trail, just wish it was open more

It’s an amazing place. Interesting history of this region. I think it’s great the power company opens it to the public twice a year.

This is only open to the public twice a year. Great trails and overlook areas.

Always enjoy the walk and view. Trails are nicely kept and the volunteers are very helpful and pleasant. Can't wait to go back again the next time the trail is open.

Great views of the Falls. Benches along the path and a picnic area. Well worth the trip.
May 19, 2019 -
Beautiful easy to walk trail. Probably about a mile or so long. Only open 2 weekends a year.

Beautiful scenery and an easy walk. Very knowledgeable volunteers who tell of the history of the area.

Beautiful day for a hike to the falls, unfortunately the hydrofalls were closed due to work but it was still a good day out with the kids and some great history lesson.
