Guess this place is good.. my cousin told me about experience he Had here ... HE got a nice car. I think it was a Camaro .. Plus worked with a guy nicknamed Frenchie with PO... kind of eccentric and a runner on the routes but all in all a good guy

The car is for my wife. John McMahon was very knowledgeable and patient in helping her to relieve her apprehension and to understand the new procedures and features of the 26 Equinox. We are very pleased with the car and our experience with Frenchie's Chevrolet.

I got an f150 here it was the style I've been looking for and because I called I was able to get a fair shot at it. The process was simple quick and easy. They took my escape in and it had some repairs needed but they still gave me a great deal. They even let me take a rental car until the truck was ready. They did a thorough job looking for any problematic situations and fixed them ahead of time. Connor has the perfect amount of energy for this he did not sway me he just made sure it was what I wanted great salesman.

The first time i went it was great they replaced the faulty part under my extended warranty no problems. then my D.E.F tank needed replacing ( had to be a gm product) well three days later the modual stopped reading. parts dept.say's its warrantyed hopfully. but they gave me an estimate for replcement???

Back in November I called and wanted to buy a chevy cruz, and then scheduled to test drive it then possibly by it that day. They then sell it without telling me about so I had little choice at the time and picked another car they had for sale. I bought it and after about two months of owning it I found it it has a blown motor in it. I will never purchase a vehicle again when the dealership cannot hold onto a vehicle that I wanted and doesn't offer a 90 day warranty like other dealerships that I have bought vehicles from in the past.

I was out of town far from home and they took care of my 2018 GMC Duramax injector issue. I wouldn't have made it home had it not been for this service team! The owner was present and very caring. Not one other dealer in the whole northeast NY could help me for weeks, Frenchie's got me in in days. Had to leave it overnight but they had a car for me and I got my truck back the next day.

This was the second visit in a week for the same issue. After bringing it in the second time I was told "it's one of them things where you fix one issue to find the real problem" which I find unacceptable. It should have been completely fixed the first time. So I'm about 400$ deep into a shifting issue, charged twice for the same part and after the second diagnostic visit I was told they would take an hour worth of labor off because the work was supposed to take 2 and a half hours to fix when in fact it was only an hour and 40. So that wasn't done and the icing on the cake my entire middle shifter part has gaps where it's not connecting to itself anymore the rubbers are not staying down and my car now shifts hard. I have only had it for 8 months although purchased used it only had 11k miles on it so it was basically brand new. I am not pleased to say the least. Will not be going back to Frenchies no matter the issue.

I was able to purchase the truck and leave. There wasn’t any extra sales like warranty or anything pushed down my throat. I was able to buy my truck and leave in an hour or two. It didn’t take 5 hours like the last truck I bought at another dealer.

Great dealership. Actually first time buying a car there. Went in on a Saturday and within 90 minutes it was done. Frenchie was there. Such a smooth talker. No wonder why he has been in business so long. Lol. Staff was great. They needed a paper signed and drove to my job in Malone. I was able to get my car Monday after work. Excellent customer service.

Anytime I have visited Massena and needed maintenance on my vehicle during that time, I have always went to Frenchie’s Chevrolet. I’ve also purchased a vehicle from them back in 2017 from the late Mr. Foote who was always wonderful to work with. The owner “Frenchie” who is always there at any of my visits is so very kind and such a pleasure to speak with. Which in the dealership world is hard to come by, in my experiences. I recommend Frenchie’s Chevrolet in Massena, Ny to anyone who is looking to purchase or get maintenance done. Thank you for always taking care of myself, family & my vehicles.

I will not be returning. The sales team has always been great to me and I’ve purchased my last two vehicles from them. However my recent experience with the collision center has had such a negative impression with me that I won’t be returning and will take my business elsewhere in the future. I understand that difficulty in getting parts in todays world, and wasn’t demanding that my car be completed any quicker that possible, but a little communication goes a long way. When I would reach out to determine if any of the parts were on back order, an estimated repair date to plan for a rental car (which also had to be obtained elsewhere), I was told they were busy and to call back later, that I would get a return phone call (the return calls never came), etc. icing on the cake was that I was told on a Thursday my car would be ready on that following Monday and they would call me when it was ready to be picked up. Monday, came and went with no word from them. I contacted them again late Monday afternoon to find out a replacement part had arrived broken and had to be reordered (which again, things happen, and I completely understand), but at least call and tell me that my car isn’t going to be ready as planned. Might be just my opinion, but this is no way to run a business, and my sincere apologies to the sales team for the loss of future business with me, because again they’ve always been great there!

Brought in a 14 Spark to see if the transmission issues were covered under the special warranty coverage from GM. I left them with very specific instructions of the condittions that were causing the issue and they did not folow them(I talked directly to the tech) and said they could no duplicate the issue. I had a 1 pm appointment for what they said would take 45 minutes to 3 hours. Wasn't done until after 2 pm the next day. It would have been nice if they told me ahead of time if they deamed in not covered I would be paying out of pocket. To add insult to injury they told me one price on the phone and when i picked it up the bill was about $20 more. As a Retired Army Mechanic with over 20 years of experiance as a certified I can tell when I've been pulled over the barrel. So I took it to another GM dealer who told me in 10 minutes that the warranty wouldn't cover it and didn't charge me a penny for it.

If I could give this dealership zero stars, I would 10 times over! I purchased a 2019 equinox for my father in April, had an accident at the end of July and it took frenchies collision 3 months to fix the vehicle. I called regularly for a status update and was told every single time that I would have my call returned with a status update which never came. I had my vehicle picked up after the 3 months it took them to repair the damage only to have the vehicle be towed back to frenchies a week later with what they are calling a vacuum pump failure. The mechanic at frenchies informed me that the vacuum pump on GM vehicles tend to go around 80k-100k miles and that previous vehicles have had them recalled for this particular problem. I bought the vehicle with around 80k miles on it. Frenchies sold me a vehicle with a known problem that occurs in the range of mileage that the vehicle already had on it but was never changed or serviced before the sale. The sales manager Clayton Plourde told me with a smirk on his face that it was because we put around 10k miles on the car in the time we had it and that frenchies was not liable for the failure. One would think that a dealership as popular as frenchies Chevrolet would sell quality used vehicles and at the very least offer some sort of service to fix the problem. This is my first experience with frenchies and for sure will be my last. Selling lemons for over 20k and then blaming the failures on mileage is an absolute joke. This will not be the only review I write as I come from the reservation that borders massena and accounts for a good amount of business at frenchies. I’ll be sure to remind everyone that crosses my path that frenchies is not the place to go if you are looking for a quality vehicle or good service. The only person that was anywhere near satisfactory in service was the mechanic named chuck. Other than him, my experience with frenchies has been an absolute nightmare!

First of all, the sales people seem to be very professional. My problem is that I believe that I was sold a lemon. I have only had my used car purchased from them only a few months, and my brakes are completely gone! Frenchie right off the bat blamed me. He said that I put a lot of miles on it. The farthest that I have driven with it is to Plattsburgh to be with my dying mother. I came home every other week. I put about 4000 miles on it. It's not like I've driven across country. If that's all it takes to ruin a car, then the car was junk to begin with. No way, would that kill my brakes. The brakes were probably already dying when I bought it. As was the battery. The battery died on me twice this summer. Thank goodness for jumper cables! A car that I had bought only this year. They sold me a lemon, and are charging me at least 700 to fix it. They should either fix it for nothing, or give me another car as a replacement. One in prime condition! I was sold a lemon, and my car still isn't fixed yet. Prove that this is my fault. It makes a whole lot more sense to say that the car that I bought used, and have only driven for a few months was already damaged to begin with. I invoke the lemon law. I should not have to pay for this! I already gave them 200. They sold me a piece of junk. That is illegal. And so is charging me to fix a mistake that they cannot prove was mine. Driving to Plattsburgh every couple of weeks shouldn't kill my car. Not if it's a good one.****You were NOT helpful, or accommodating . I had to walk there during a drizzle to get my car. When other garages drive the car home, and get driven back. And you're not fooling me regarding the brakes. A million dollars says that they were NEVER changed since before I had even bought the car Prove to me that they were changed after the first 10000 miles. Then blame me for letting them go 2000 past the 20000 mark while I was too busy tending to my now newly deceased mother. As if that's enough to totally destroy them. My assertion about being sold a lemon is indeed a fair one. ***

I have total trust in these service guys - friendly and quietly professional . I bought my car there in 2013 and I have only had these guys work on my car ( and I come from Potsdam !) I occasionally bring them donuts and they are so grateful . Life long customer over here !

I had engine work done on my 2015 Impala. I had an 8AM appoint, and car was brought right in. The mechanic who worked on my car was very very nice, and finished the work on my car in 3.5 hrs as planned. The mechanic even waved goodbye as I left the service dept.

I'm new in town and one the coldest day this January, my Volvo had a problem that can only be reset if I park it somewhere indoors to warm it up. I tried two other independent shops but they were both busy. I drove by Frenchies and decided to see if they could help. When I came to the service area, Chuck the service advisor asked me what my issue was, after I explained, he told me just to pull the car in and pointed me to the coffee in the waiting area. He even turned on the heater to help my car thaw faster. After 30 min At every point I was treated like someone who bought a car from them. He (and everyone else that I ran into) treated me as if I bought a car from there. After 30 min my car was warm enough that I could finally reset the warming and be on my way. I'm really grateful for Chuck an others are Frenchies for getting me out of a bind. Thank you guys. Would definitely keep you guys at the top of my list when it is time to pick up a new car.

Awesome service from both collision and service departments. I am new to upstate New York and I have had my share of some scummy car places. Frenchie's did me good. As a veteran that deals with BS throughout my life, I felt good representation and care from Roseanne, Sean, and the crew that works there and that I had the pleasure in meeting. They handled my vehicle, dealt with insurance, company, kept me updated, and then some after I experienced more problems. Super polite and kind. Thanks a billion.

As always, the experience was a good one. I didn't have to wait too long for the inspection, and while I waited, I took the opportunity to look at some new vehicles. Ended up going home with a new vehicle. My lease was just a couple of months from being up, and I was going to lease a new one in a month or 2 anyway.

We were told the brakes needed repair at last oil change. Made an appointment for brake work. After my wife waited 2 hours at appointment was told they didn't have the parts. We got a loaner car, were told to return the next afternoon and it would be ready. Came back (2 hour drive for us) and the parts were not there, no phone call to let us know. Ended up taking a week to get Cruze pads and rotors changed. Ridiculous. Best they could do was a free oil change (we were promised 5 free oil changes when we bought it which was a lie apparently). Update: 2 hour wait for a scheduled oil change today....

Brought car in for service which equated to 4 hours in the waiting area. Was informed that my lock was broken...which i already knew. Had a part ordered and after couple of weeks the part came in. Having had other issues with the car I decided not to have the part installed and instead purchased a car from Frenchies. After a some time I received a call from a salesman (not billing) that I had an outstanding bill that could possibly be sent to collections. I had not received a bill from Frenchies by this point. After finally receiving a bill I observed a charge for freight of the part I ordered but did not have installed or even seen. I went to take care of the bill in the hopes that the fee could be waved, since I did purchase a car from Frenchies instead of having a part put on my old car, to which i was denied. It wasn't alot of money but it could have been gas for a week. Generally, I am a laid back-fun loving individual, but this experience rubbed me the wrong way. Unfortunately, I will not be purchasing anything from Frenchies and luckily I am in a position where in get to instruct approximately 1000 people to which i can share this experience and save them from making a mistake.

Repairs made on my truck came out looking great! The staff were super friendly and kept me in the loop on everything that was going on. Even finished up the repairs one day ahead of schedule. Great experience overall.
