This company absolutely ridiculous. Weeks to get back with a price. No one answers the phone. Save yourself the aggravation. Go online, Ebay,amazon... mystery to me how tyere in business.
So far waiting for a Common axle for 5 weeks! Still don’t have and still can’t get an answer Why? So much for dealing/buying Local. So far customer service has truly been a problem.
Update ! On the 8th week now after being told axle ready to pick up and spent almost 2 hrs in building plus travel only to find out it’s not there ?♂️ had to wait for 2 upset customers to finish! STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS! Except maybe I will get end of week! Totally unacceptable cause now that all is paid for I can’t regroup and start over!

Less than 0 stars would be perfect, more calls and can’t get an answer and of course there closed over the weekend so we can start week 9 I guess!! Regroup was possible but now after 8 weeks and no answers so Will PROBABLY junk Trailer and continue to promote Not doing Business with DEXTER ANYTHING ANYMORE! I will think about purchasing a new trailer that has NO DEXTER PARTS ON IT!

FINALLY GOT axle after 1.5 hrs yet again plus 1 hr travel time!! After being told it’s ready for pu yet again!! I’m Hoping it’s correct based on the original numbers but have zero confidence and of course it’s not returnable even though that for the original Tag off the axle!!.
PLEASE SPARE YOURSELF SOME PAIN AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
Update trailer back on wheels and ok after another trip for Wrong ubolts and mounting hardware and Maybe my fault on wheel/tire combo. BUT Re pay for Correct stuff and didn’t get Credited for Wrong stuff after 10+ Days $250+ - and Again no Answers!!
Guess I was the Stupid one to continue and now I probably have to fight about it!
Next post how that works out if company ever care about bad Ratings but somehow I Doubt it.
3 more phone calls and nothing including Corporate office! Time to dispute ALL CHARGES and let company get jerked off by me no answering simple questions!!

Wow had this place gone downhill. Sign taped to door... closed. Because there's such a high volume of foot traffic(insert sarcasm) the grumpy guys in the office couldn't handle it? Go elsewhere. So much for shop local. Maybe update your online hours to non so other people don't waste a large drive.
I was referred to this place from an auto parts store as I was looking for a part for my tow dolly trailer. When I got to this place a sign was taped to the door they only take walking until 11:00am but it was in the afternoon. I called their # and was told they only sell to acct holders but gave me another # of another trailer parts place to call, but when I called it was for some type of health care place. I questioned the lady on the phone at Dexter's since the area code of the other # started with 585 which is not close to 518 where we are. My suggestion? Don't try this place. I went to a Tractor Supply store in Clifton Park and got exactly what I needed.
Since Covid it’s impossible to place an order or be able to pick up parts. They are constantly open, yet “closed due to short staff”. Not sure why it’s gone so downhill over here but they’ve gone clear down the drain in the last couple of years.
The last few times I have tried to purchase something from this location have been absolutely horrendous. I have been trying to purchase a rim and tire for a trailer and had to call and call and call and call and which I finally got through to a call center not even the direct office. It was then confirm that they did have the tire at the location and then I could pick up the next day but when I went to pick up you are not allowed inside after certain hours and was refused my rim and tire. A hell of a way to do business with the local community trying to shop local at a place that is not worried about Anybody but the commercial industry. This will be the last time I pull into the parking lot

Google says they open at 8, drove a half hour here and the door says due to the pandemic they changed their hours and don't open til 9. Called and someone answered but told me they can't help because they're not open yet...
The worst costumer service ever, if they hate there job why work there. I been sitting here for 11/2 and still waiting. Don’t buy anything here don’t waist your time.
Place still requires masks, what thats all about, who knows. They didn't have what I would have thought were rather common u-bolts used on many boat trailers. They are well off the beaten path.
After the manager I think his name was Lee yelled at me and his employees I will never step foot in this place and I pushed my company to stop buying from them There was one person in there willing to help and I feel bad for the employees that have to deal with the poor management. Customer service 0/10.

I have made several attempts to reach this location without any success. Even after calling other locations to try to get a resolution, it’s clear these people do not care about Customer Service Or answering your phone calls. Some people don’t have the luxury of driving two hours to let some guy appease you and then totally disregard you once you leave
Worst place to do any business. They don't answer their phones, change their hours as they please and have the most miserable attitudes. I'd leave 0 stars if possible for these clueless idiots that work there. Avoid these clowns at all costs.
I never like to bash anyone or business but this was an incredibly poor experience in ordering and purchasing a replacement trailer axle. Would never recommend them to anyone.
It was the best darn service i hve evr received! if anyting they need to b more redneck? they fixed me up with a camo set of tires to go with my camo trailer! how gr8 is tht? overall i luv rednecks
Got a custom made Dexter torsion axle and hubs and with electric brakes for under $500 to replace an old, worn out one on my Aliner camper. I took my old axle into the Albany, NY location and the guys there made all the critical measurements.
It fits like a glove!!! 4 bolts later it was on my trailer and ready to go. Thanks Redneck guys!!! And Dexter. The axle comes with 4 new bolts and new lug nuts. Its perfect!!
