I can't say enough nice things about Advantage Auto Repair. In a day where it's impossible to trust any mechanic or service station for fear of being ripped off, these guys have easily won me over. My teenage son was in a car accident and we had it towed to the nearest station which happened to be Advantage Auto Repair. First off, Stephanie at the front desk calmed me down, explained the process with insurance, what my options are (including bringing it anywhere I want), but before any of that, her first question was about the health of my son. (He's fine by the way). They talked my wife and I through what to do with the towtruck and that the car looked totaled. They took off the plates for us after the inspector came and held them for us until we were able to swing by and pick them up. They didn't charge us a penny, were increidbly communicative while we were there and days after, and we even tried giving them a $20 tip for their help, which they outright refused. Thank you, Advantage Auto Repair! Your kindness and help truly meant the world to us.
I made an appointment with Advantage Auto (Referred to from my own family) to give my truck a tune up that was way past due and an all around check up due to my daily commute. The "Honesty" is all there!!! I don't know too much at all with auto repair so I could have been scammed in a heart beat and buying work I don't need done on a truck. Ten stars all around !!! This shop does a complete evaluation of your vehicle and gives you honest recommendations whether or not you choose to have them do the work. They move cars in and out quickly and make sure you are happy with your repairs. Best mechanics I've had in over 40 years!

What a great bunch of People. Stephanie is always on top of things. Rob is a really good mechanic lot of experience Under his belt. The thing I like best is you couldn't find a more honest bunch of people. If it is not worth doing Rob is the first one to tell you.
Fantastic, family-friendly place. Reliable, respectable and thorough. They take care of ALL my family cars, always have, and make you feel comfortable while you wait or, if I leave my car, they call immediately upon completion. They look at little issues, big issues and issues you can't figure out. They get it. They are also affordable. I cannot say enough about Robbie, Stephanie and the gang. They are the best. My Lincoln MKZ had a loud wobble/shake at highway speeds. Brought it to Lincoln - they told me it was tires & wheels (car had brand new tires on it!). Brought it to Robbie and in one day he diagnosed it as bad universal joint on the rear drive shaft - something Lincoln put out a service bulletin on in 2011! Lincoln wanted $1600 to fix it, Robbie did it for under $12!

First I only gave 4 stars because I only used Advantage once, however my first experience with them was excellent. What initially sets them apart is that they have a pleasant office manager who sets your expectations. She called to let me know the problem/estimate and called me when it was finished. I've gone to plenty of mechanics in which my car was there for a while, they never call you and you come to find out they can't fix it until tomorrow. Geez thank you for telling me nothing. NOT Advantage this office manager was on top of it. I had a recurring problem with an oil line and Advantage told me that whoever did the repair previously used coolant lines to repair my car. That is why I had a recurring oil leak. Anyway for my first experience I give the an "A." I will definitely use them again.
EDIT: I had an opportunity to go there a second time to get an inspection on my car and they told me that they only take appointments for inspections and other repairs. The last time i visited Advantage I had my car towed there and they got the work done that same day with not issues.I offered to leave it for the day/overnight if they could get it done by tomorrow but they couldn't guarantee my car getting inspected by tomorrow. I guess if you have a scheduled repair that needs to be done this method is great but what happens in an emergency. So my update goes like this........If you have time to make an appointment then this place can work out for you, I would definitely consider this when I need to schedule low priority repairs/maintenance. If you have an emergency then you may need to find another mechanic. We are a two car family and I cannot wait to make an appointment for a week from now to fix my vehicle during an emergency. I'd kick this star rating to a 3.5 if I could due to the possibility of them not being able to assist you.
If you ever have trouble with your car, need any maintanance, this is the place to bring your car! If I could rate it higher I would! Excellent Service!!!!! They are the Best!!!!!
Our Nissan Altima would not start. AAA towed it to Advantage. Shop determined it was loose ground wire from the alternator and tightened it which solved problem. I was thinking it was going to turn out to be bad starter. Best of all they didn't charge us anything. They are a good honest shop. ?
I was purchasing an old car and did not know any mechanics in the Stony Point area. I called an old friend who recommended Advantage Auto. They looked at the car right away, called me back right away and Stephanie was extremely helpful and professional. Great experience and a big thank you to you all.
jojo you make me laugh, honestly who cares if she is the mistress. the only thing your review did was prove your and idiot and not cut out for this business. I pretty sure you wouldn't know what work was if it slapped you in the face. Everyone knows you go to Advantage for quality work at a decent price.
