Very excellent service, ?, made appointment ,no organized crime on ripping people off on a 100 dollar fee or 200 fee for plugging in a computer ? to see what's wrong with your vechile. Super honest ? ? and great job ? fast service while I waited for vechile ,a nice waiting area with ? and bath room,excellent counter man.owner checks and drives your vechile ,to calculate your problems then turns it over to his mechanics, now that's serious attention and deacation, and service ?. Turn out just a right wheel sensor cable.rubbing on right tire when Turing right.

I've been working on getting this car inspected for like a week with a busy unpredictable schedule with them being short staffed. They took very good care of me considering all the problems and I'm now good for the year. I highly recommend this shop, great guys.
I paid 1000 dollars to replace the heater box in my equinox only to find out they replaced just the broken door, the A pillar cover was installed wrong, the dash is missing pieces and screws and the greasy finger prints all over the dash, the scratches on the window from the dash being forced into place. These guys are hacks !!!

I had my Jeep towed there and after an electrical issue was diagnosed and a $19 repair made (over $280 to diagnose) the vehicle had a problem in the same area of the electrical box. It overheated and couldn't be driven 4 days later. I had it towed to another repair shop (Smitty's Repair and Restoration) and I was given photos of the shoddy repairs done at Black's. As a lay person I could see for myself that there was more going on with the electrical box that should have been brought to my attention when it was first repaired at Black's. One front tire had to be removed to access the electrical box. The lug nuts on that tire were way over torqued at Blacks such that bad I had a flat tire I could have never removed it roadside. The other repair shop (Smitty's) fixed what was done poorly and provided pictures of their work. I went back to Jeff Black and hoped he would compensate me for a portion of his labor cost but he refused. What took him over 2 hrs to diagnose only took the other shop an hour of labor and much more was done and done RIGHT. He (Jeff Black) wouldn't take any accountability. I was an auto worker at New Process Gear and if I saw a problem with something done on the assembly line before me, I didn't just do my job and send it. The transfer cases I produced would have been pulled off the line. There was clearly more problems in that electrical box that should have been brought to my attention to be replaced. I expected better. I hoped he'd meet me in the middle regarding his diagnostic fee because I ended up spending just as much having the entire job re-done at the other shop.
Nice staff but I brought my tire that was leaking air 3x for them to have no clue. Took it back to my regular guy. He said there was metal in the tire.
Best mechanic in CNY, hands down! I've taken all of my vehicles here and referred many people, including my own mother.
Jeff is honest about wait times and scheduling, diagnoses issues quickly, and is fair and reasonable with his pricing. He works on everything from classics to new vehicles. He is truly an honest mechanic, which is harder to find than you would think.

I usually take my stuff I to gm out in dr8vers village and have most reimbursed...but it was so cheap and I did not have the ability to do all the driv8ng and waiting I went with Jeff!

Heading home to Kansas from a 2 week camping trip to New England and our truck camper had the water pump breakdown. Lucky to be near an exit on I-81, and rolled into Mirabito Fuel Stop. At least 3 people stopped by to offer help and one gentleman even got a bit dirty figuring out the problem. We contacted AAA for a tow, but were had zero repair shops willing to see us within a week. We spent the night in the parking lot with the permission of Mirabito. Penny's Tow Service recommended Jeff Black's Auto Repair. We called and talked to JP and he was familiar with the diesel engine and the water pump location. Very helpful. Jeff was not yet available. I called NAPA Auto Parts and they had the water pump and new belt in stock. I called back and Jeff said they were booked up, but "We can't let you sit for days for a water pump. If you can get it here, we will get it done for you." I directed AAA to use Penny's Tow to help us get our truck camper there. Penny's got it there, JP worked on it and we left that afternoon. We are home, and the truck performed perfect. And the bill was extremely reasonable. The friendliness of the 8-10 people we ran into during our 22 hour stay was quite impressive. If you are using another repair shop in Central Square, you should probably try Jeff Black. His reputation is well earned. My wife and I thank you, Jeff.
My 21 year old Saturn started leaking brake fluid from the rear wheel cylinder while we were visiting family near Central Square on Memorial Day weekend. Several other garages had told us there was no way they could work on our car before the next Tuesday, if even then. I finally called Jeff Black's Auto Repair; they were also booked up but said they'd look at my car and see what they could do. I dropped off the vehicle and just a couple of hours later they called to tell me that all I'd needed was replacement of the brake cylinder and that the car was ready to be picked up. I really appreciated them working me in just before the holiday weekend. They charged a fair price and didn't try coercing me into getting unnecessary work done.
We moved here to Central Square a few years ago from Baldwinsville and have been looking for a local auto shop. Jeff’s was highly recommended by numerous friends and neighbors. Very professional. I will definitely use Jeff’s again
This place is great! Jeff is a great guy. I'm newer in town , and needed some tires put on and inspection. Jeff was very accommodating had me in on the same day. I also had to come back another day. With a couple of other tires and once again got me in the same day had me in and out very quick and very friendly service. Would highly recommend 100% very hard to find guys like this to work on cars nowadays.
I've spent years looking for a mechanic shop that id fast, ad good prices, and great customer service! Well I've finally found the place. I went here for an inspection and they got me in same day and I was out in 20 minutes. Then when my brakes went they were able to get me in the next day. It was a pretty big fix, but they were able to get it done in only a few hours, and it was a whole lot cheaper than it would've been most other places. To top it all off he gave me a ride to and from my friends house while I waited! Best mechanic in our area hands down.

This is the best mechanic in central square. They are quick and very friendly. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have work done on a car or truck. They also do inspections without appointment!! Great for last minute slackers like me who forget they need to have their car inspected!! They are all around a great shop!!
Wonderful customer service. Even though some of the items could only be fixed at the dealer, I will be using this place from now on. You don't find too many honest people these days...you will find them here.
