After working a all day i had some issues with my car and someone said stop and get the battery tested. When i arrived just before 7 i was met with a older employee with all white hair. When i walked in i asked if they could test my battery and he said " why did you not come during the day its dark " i explained to the employee that i do work from 6:30am- 6:30 or 7: PM. He than said " we are open for 12 hours " and i again explained that i was unable to make it during the day. He than scoffed and grabbed the battery charger. When we get outside i explained some of the things going on and he just said " thats not a battery issue" and stood there just starting at me. After a few minutes of complete silence i just ended up leaving. Completely unprofessional behavior. I would be appalled if any of my employees spoke to customers in that way. Needless to say i will never go to an advanced auto again. If you read this and need help with your car go to autozone down the road

Very rude, I came in to bring my used oil and the old guy at the front refused it extremely rude and unprofessional . I don’t know why he’s even hired there. I went to O’Reillys. They took all my used fluids and apologize for advanced Auto‘s disrespectful behavior.

Bought a wheel speed sensor and turned out it was the wrong part and when I went to return it the would do a return bc it’s electric part I was never told you can not return this part and $50 sensor that there employees messed up by not getting me the right one is now my fault. Needless to say I’m done buy parts at advance and as often as i am buying parts there you would think they would try and fix the situation but they didn’t even want to hear it.

I have shopped here before and was absolutely shocked. Was having battery issues with my wife's car and stopped in to get it tested. They tested it and said it needs replacing. Went into purchase and they told me I should shop around to other locations. I said I would like to just purchase it here. Then they said they couldn't install it because 2 employees were leaving in 15 minutes and it was getting dark out. It was getting dark out but still very much daylight, and they were expecting the battery changeout to take longer than 10 minutes? really? I asked to borrow tools and they said they couldn't do that after dark for liability reasons. I guess I should have taken their first suggestion to shop around. Went to Auto Zone on Taft road, got a battery, and they were even willing to still install it. Will have to question if I return to this Advance AutoParts....

I would give this store and location ZERO stars if it would let me. This company claims to have a contract with UPS as an access point but REFUSED to take any of my packages. I came into this location to return a few boxes thru UPS drop off which they claim they do. The young employee behind the counter seemed to be not want to help me. He first claimed they wouldn’t be ble to take the lightly larger boxes (approx 18”x18”x18”). He said he would try the small packages and guessed if they were within some weight limit they would take. He tried to scan about 3 packages and he couldn’t get them to scan but that was probably because either he didn’t know how to scan them or the advance auto system doesn’t work. I refuse to ever give any of my buisness to this company. This isn’t the first time I had issues with this company not just about returns but terrible customer service.

Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly member of the staff.He asked if I need any help finding anything he pointed me in the right direction I found what I needed they offered a little advice on how to use it and it worked perfectly. They definitely knew what they were talking about I will continue going to this store

This location would not allow me to return a not even used item just because of the packaging. Looks like I have to drive out of state to return said item. Very bad service, even have my receipt. Guy with glasses just flat out told me “No”

I have been a mechanic for over 35 years. Bought a belt from them 2 days ago. Come in today because the belt shredded. The old belt was fine just stretched out. Went in for a replacement and as soon as I walked in Paul (the old man from other bad reviews) was very hostile towards me. Went on saying it wasn’t installed correctly and that it’s not their fault or their problem. I proceed to argue with him about how I do this for a living and I know it was installed correctly. After arguing with this guy I finally got a return when it should have been a simple exchange. Will never come here again.

I bought a serpentine belt for my car and not even a day later it shredded. We went in to get either a replacement or my money back and Paul H (old man) was very rude and aggressive. The moment we walked in he began arguing with us about the belt saying it was the person who put it on when a mechanic did it. He is very unprofessional and hostile towards customers. If I could give it zero stars for how rude and hostile Paul H was I would.

Bought a belt from the due to the old one stretched out. Went in 2 days later because the belt tore up after 50 miles of driving. Delt with PAUL (the older gentleman that I see in other reviews) and he quickly became very hostile. Saying it’s not their problem and not their fault. Had to fight to get a return. Will never be going here ever again.

Went in this afternoon to buy wiper blades, the older gentleman was snippy in asking if I need anything, acting short with me, after we established my vehicle he just points where the wipers were, ok at first I didn’t see exactly where they were, so he points again. They weren’t busy but I did not want more attitude if I asked for help, even cashing out I said to the younger gentleman thank you have a good day, nothing, very rude I will shop elsewhere and so will the people I’ve told about your store.

Id give them 0 stars if possible. After spending 15 minutes standing there unattended by the one person working who was on a speakerphone call, I left after being told the only battery they had for my wrangler started 50 dollars higher than their internet price, and went up from there. Thanks for nothing.

Came in for a brake & tail ,marker light...and ended up needing a new battery (it was time to get one anyways) the lady that was on staff that day was very pleasant! And very accommodating! Great experience!

This is the second time I had been in, in the past week. The man who "helped me" find the part I needed, I actually needed two, but he insisted I needed one. He was very short with me when answering. Figuring he dealt with this stuff all the time he should know. He did not know. He also with a big sigh went over to get my part as if it was a big burden to his day. The second time I came back to get the other part I needed he was in a better mood, but I had to listen to him gripe about something. I have worked retail my whole career and I have never griped about my day or let my personal mood affect my job. I put on a happy face no matter how bad things are. It is one of the things I get paid to do. I don't think the guy is a bad guy. I think he just needs a refresher on customer service. Oh and the second time I came in I walked all around the store and no one acknowledged me or asked if I needed help finding anything. I was the only one in the store at the time. I think again the customer service could be stepped up. I went back against my better judgement. It was close to where I was shopping, so I thought I would go in and get something that I needed to finish a project. Again no one said boo to me while I walked around. I found the section and had to read a bunch of stuff to find out what might be the right product. It seems that doing inventory or standing behind the counter is more important than a customer. There was no one else there so no reason not to ask me if I needed help. I could have asked, but to be honest I didn't have any confidence in any answer that I might get looking at their actions and attitude.

Very friendly service. & quick! Got my battery changed in no time. Only reason for my 4 star rating is because I really do think the younger crew should be more cautious with the conversations they have around the customers , very vulgar. Other than that everything seemed clean and organized .

They never updated their Sunday hours. Here I am and they are closed at 7:00 Obviously my time means nothing to these people nor does the distance I drove to get here.

We can't thank Paul enough for his courtesy and professionalism. We were in Syracuse area visiting and our car was having trouble starting. Paul checked the battery for us and told us that we didn't need to replace it immediately. Although we didn't need to make a purchase at this time, we were impressed by his honesty and will certainly be giving our local Advance our business.

Staff is always very friendly - not very attentive. But they ALWAYS CLOSE EARLY. Whether it be the last hour or last 10 minutes, I've showed up in that time frame 15+ times to locked doors. I wouldn't even give them my business if they weren't so local.

On 11/12/2021 I was told by an associate (Tall, white, male, glasses, grey hair) at around 2:54pm that I could not use the bathroom due to Covid which I believe to be a lie. Around 5pm on 9/16/19 and only one guy behind the counter. I'm standing there ready to check out and he answers 2 phone calls and then goes off to help another customer along the wall near the entrance. Finally he checks me out. I get asked a bunch of questions because I bought these wire clips. Finally he asked me if I wanted a bag. I said yes but that was a mistake because he took forever to even open up a plastic bag. Management needs to have at least 3 or even 4 people on duty at all times.

Good selection of parts. Online orders are very odd. Even when you want items shipped to home, the site requires you to select a store. Good news is my locale store will fix errors for online orders. Online site leaves lots to be desired. Poor search functions and prone to errors.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but it seems like when you try to call to check on the price or availability of a part the employees don't seem to want to answer the phones and when they do they either hang up on you, or immediately put you on hold, and that's where you will sit until you decide to hang up & try calling back. but usually that just results in the phone ringing & ringing & never being answered. This issue seems to happen more often in the afternoon, or evening time. I just hope a district manager or somebody with authority sees this and does something about it. This is definitely a reoccurring issue and has happened more times than I can count! This issue mainly stems from the Fulton location itself. it has only happened to me once or twice at the North Syracuse location but almost every single time at the Fulton store!

My handicap fan broke down 3 weeks ago on the Thruway. I made it to AutoZone and they told me my alternator was bad which it was.it was Friday afternoon at 5:00 and they called many repair shops trying to find one but none could be found. I had AAA so I had my car towed back home and bought the alternator from them. Their stores are all handicap accessible, however their aisles are somewhat narrow for large wheelchairs. But overall their service is excellent.

Very good selection of Parts, very knowledgeable people. The prices are fairly good, although sometimes the prices can be a little bit more than expected. They have a really good return policy, and the staff is very helpful.

Had great friendly service! I was returning a battery and buying a wiper. The guy working there took the heavy battery from my hands the second I walked in the door, and installed wiper for me. I had to wait in line a bit longer than normal because the cashier was helping a customer pick out headlights, but no worries, I just thought that it was good customer service.

The employees are very helpful and courteous and friendly. And knowledgeable!! They actually know car parts. I love the order on line and pick up in store and the parts are correct. The store itself is spotless very clean. Looking for a part or almost anything you need for car maintenance Advance Auto is your car part store.
