This shop saved me from a nightmare when I bought a car from Carvana. In a nutshell, the 2022 Corolla I bought had transmission problems that never showed until we got winter weather. They worked with the Carvana warranty company when my car needed a new transmission, and fortunately it cost a fraction of the price out of pocket. Not only that, but they were incredibly fast, and once the work was approved, I had my car back in a week! Like new with a new transmission! I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! Highly recommended!

Mike and his team did a great job of diagnosing my truck. I started experiencing transmission like symptoms heading out I-90 east. I was able to tow it into the lot, drop the keys off in the box overnight and Mike gave me a call the very next day after looking into the issues which saved me a ton of money. Turns out I just needed new fluid, a filter and gasket. Truck has been running great since. I will be keeping my ear to the ground and if I hear any other weird noises or experience issues on the road I would not hesitate to drop off the my truck again to Mike and his team.

I have never been more excited to work with a garage than I did with TT. WHY? based on the first phone call. other companies should take notes on how TT handles customer service. The only reason i booked an appointment was based on their attitudes. Free assessment saved us over 3K in the long run. I couldn't be any more appreciative, I will recommend to everyone.

I came in for brake work on my wife's Honda the front office personnel Miranda and Cathy were the greatest very friendly and knowledgeable They told me when the car would be ready and how much it would cost. Everything was right on the and work done came out perfect .I will definitely recommend to my friends and family .

I took my Jeep here because the PTU (power transfer unit) was bad. This is a known issue that Jeep has and will not own up to it! I have to say, there ARE STILL honest, professional mechanics on this earth and they are at Terrys Transmission. Now I know why they are so busy! Its NOT about making money to them, its about taking care of their customers without breaking the bank. The shop is clean and the people are very organized and professional. 10 STARS for Terrys transmission!!! Highly recommended. Jeanine G

The girls Miranda and Kathy at the front counter are absolutely outstanding we brought our 2020 Nissan kicks in for a new transmission and had it back in about a week and it drove great the guys out back know what they are doing and are quick and efficient and it was a pain free experience!

I just had the transmission on my 2015 Forester serviced here and wow what a difference in the way the vehicle performed! You see they drain more fluid and do it right. It is very wise to get your tranny serviced and it is worth every penny especially if you have Terry's do it.

I recently had the transmission replaced in my 2014 GMC Sierra with the 5.3. Price came under estimate so I had them do other preventative maintenance. I waited 3 weeks to give an honest review. This is provably the smoothest rebuilt transmission I ever had. Really performs well. I would definitely use them again

They over charged me and then the owner insulted my car to my face and my car is still not fixed where I have to take to another place to correct their work they did on my car! At first I didn’t have reverse at first after being rebuilt by then and now my transmission is leaking from my Bell housing seal after they fixed the reverse and now refuse to honor the warranty!!!!! On top of damaging my K&N cold air intake filter!!

The staff at Terry's Transmission are very knowledgeable and friendly. My truck needed a new transmission and was out of warranty. Terry's Transmission performed excellent repair work, they're an honest repair shop and they are very fair-priced.

Outstanding Service and Expertise! Terry’s Transmission went above and beyond to fix an issue with our vehicle that the Mazda dealership didn’t want to take on. Mike, the manager, was knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly. Kudos to him for ensuring the job was done right! The ladies at the front desk were also extremely professional, courteous, and customer-focused, making the entire experience smooth and pleasant. I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of work they delivered at a fair price. This place should not be called Terry’s transmission anymore It’s nothing the way it was when Terry owned it. They kept my car for over a week and a half and didn’t even fix it properly. They sent it home knowing that it still had issues and then when I wanted to bring it back, I had to go back in line For however, long until they could get to it again! Absolutely poor service.. I wouldn’t send anybody there. They knew the car had issues when they got it. They knew the car had issues when they sent it home. Should’ve been fixed properly the first time and never been sent home. I would give Them a big fat zero if I could

Can't say enough positive things about Terry's. We have a 1995 misubishi 3000 GT that was having a hydraulic pressure problem with the clutch. Our repair shop recommended Terry's and we couldn't be happier. It was quickly diagnosed and repaired with no delay in getting parts, etc. This is a very well run and managed facility. Everyone there is on the same page, providing quality service and repairs. We need more facilities like this where customers are appreciated. We certainly appreciate Terry's!

I was recommended to go to Terry's Transmission by my normal mechanic. I went and got great service. They fixed the problem which was just a loose cable. I found them to be super honest, and super nice to deal with.

Let me start off by saying that besides them leaving off the sound mat from my valve body, not telling me about it, and then when I called they told me it didn't really matter and they weren't going to be replacing it, the work they did was just fine. This is not a review of work completed. This is a review of the company/staff. After dropping off, talking on the phone, and picking up my van, I did not have a single "Friendly" conversation. I don't believe I even saw a single smile. All conversations had were at best "Curt" When getting my phone call to pick up my vehicle and told the price I mentioned it sounded roughly 100 dollars high. The woman I spoke with went back and forth with me explaining it getting frustrated, assuming I was wrong till she rudely mentioned "I'll just e-mail it to you so you can see it yourself". 2 min after I received the e-mail she called me back and apologized saying she finally found her mistake and hadn't taken off the 90 lift fee. Mistakes will always happen, being rude when talking to clients doesn't have to. Then, without my consent I kept getting e-mails requesting I review them. I figured since they were a smaller company maybe they use these reviews to better themselves. They only had click options and nothing asked me for further information. There were just as many questions asking me about a AAA membership as there were about the business. This review can't be seen by the public anyway on the site because it hasn't been activated. I mentioned in my review "Below Average" for availability of hours (I didn't PERSONALLY like the lack of weekend hours, which is available at a lot of shops). AGAIN, I figured this would be a review that only went to them(Which it did) so that they'd have the feedback. This was also the only "Below Average" I rated. Then I receive this as a Reply from the company to my review: Odd review. Gave low marks for hours of operation. Our hours are the same as most businesses. We also have an after hours drop box and do after hours pick up after repair. Job was completed on time and on budget. No idea why this person was dissatisfied. It's probably best he finds another place to do his work. We have no need for customers like this. We work extremely hard to provide cost effective, honest, timely repairs. If what we did was not up to his standards, please find another place. File will be marked - Do Not Provide Service. I am glad for this business that they do not need me. I feel sorry for any business that is reliant on a single client to keep their business afloat. However, I'm sad for this business that they got so hurt over a review that they requested, that no one else would see, and that instead of reaching out and talking to the client that rated them they just add "Do Not Provide Service" to the file. Don't worry you could throw the file away and it would never come up again. My 4/10 for would recommend has now gone down to a 0. FOR EVERYONE ELSE: The work they did was just fine. It is the Staff and my personal experience that caused the issue. Please keep in mind that when it comes to their quality of work completed it was just fine. Took only 3 days to complete(5 including the weekend) and I haven't had any issues since.

I had to have my car towed to them and they got back to me immediately with diagnostics. They had my vehicle back to me quicker than they estimated and in better shape than before it had to be towed! Highly recommend. Overall fantastic experience, quality repair, genuinely kind customer service!

As a local Realtor I regularly interact with contractors and service professionals. Sadly we are all experiencing a decline in quality, competency and kindness among those who provide essential services. My experience last Friday and today at Terry’s Transmission could not have been better. Not knowing what might be wrong with my truck I was admittedly nervous. I was cared for quickly and with an understanding of the potential timeline. Not once did I feel anything other than trust and confidence. Prepared for the worst case scenario, I was completely relieved by their assessment. Even if the news was less favorable I knew I made the right choice in selecting Terry’s Transmission. Terry's was upfront about the options for replacing my transmission and the work was done quickly. They fully explained my options and we're very helpful when additional work was needed. The service at the front desk is great! A huge shout out the women who helped understanding my bill. She was fantastic! Highly recommend and will always go to Terry's from now on!

I had a HHR that was sitting at the Chevy dealership. Dealership ship told me the car needed an engine wire harness. Since the car is discontinued they stopped looking at it, I still has to pay for them to look at it even though they stopped once they found out it was discontinued. Got my car towed to Terry's. The next day they called me and told me the car was beyond repairs and if I was to get it repaired it would cost a lot of money. Come to find out harness was melted like it caught an inside fire, bumper was falling off shift wire need to be fixed and more things. Told them not to bother looking further into it. Told them I was going to scrap it. They gave me a number I can contact to get it towed and scrap. They even worked with me said as long as I communicate I wouldn't be charged. They kept they word and I kept mines. I would definitely take my car here if I need my next car to be looked at and fixed. Very nice and straightforward in my opinion. Thank you.

Patient and helpful on my phone call inquiries to decide whether car was worth repairing. Conclusion was best to salvage. They helped me get pictures of car and store until a tow could take away for salvage. They came recommended by my longtime mechanic and I would return knowing that they are willing to work patiently to solve the car problems.

This guys were amazing and so nice. I went to them for a transmission replacement thru my warranty company. Terrys did everything they could to make it move along, the warranty company fought them on everything. Once everything was approve they had my car fixed in a few days. We normally do normal repair and upkeep ourself but I will definitely be back for anything we can’t do on our own. Miranda was so helpful with everything and keeping me updated.

Used them in the past to have transmission oil changed, but stopped in a couple of week ago to have transmission oil on my SUV changed and the attitude was completely different. A woman seated at a rear desk said the charge would be $279. and more if it required a special oil, but she didn’t seem to know if mine was in that category. Asked when could get an appointment and she said I could drop it off any day the following week, but I would have to leave it for the whole day which is not how they used to do things. Asked why I couldn’t make an appointment for a time and wait. She said they just do them when they have time which seems like a rather off handed way to do a nearly $300. job. The upside is I ended up getting an appointment at a Hyundai dealer and they charged $90. less and took about an hour which was reasonable and they accepted appointments. Terry’s had their waiting room area roped off which made it clear you can’t wait for anything anymore. The gal said this is way they do things since the pandemic as if that were still going on. Anyway I saved nearly a hundred bucks with the tax and might consider using them if I had a transmission problem, but frankly I don’t know why they bother advertising on the radio if they don’t want the business. I do understand that the former owner runs that radio program and they also run strange ads for a doctor who says on his own program that he doesn’t want new patients. Bottom line: shop around you might save and one has to think that the dealer which generally are on the high side of prices do know how to do the job properly. They also bad mouth others in their ad claiming that they are the only ones to do it property which I guess is the excuse for charging a much higher price.

While my initial experience with Terry's was less than favorable ( my 2012 Ford Fusion needed a complete standard transmission overall, and after I ended up calling them after two days of silence, only to find out that they hadn't even looked at my vehicle yet). Having said this, when my car was finally completed after 6 days, it seems to be running very well at this point (2-3 weeks in). If you are someone who likes/needs daily updates as to the progress of your repair, perhaps they are not for you. However, if you want the work done correctly, by honest professionals, who also guarantee their work, I would always recommend them.

The whole crew at Terry's are professional, friendly and know what they're doing. Mike, the shop manager, is very knowledgeable. I've had them work on 2 different cars and both times been impressed with the quality and the price. Terry's is the ONLY place I bring my vehicles to now.

Incredible service, they went above and beyond to help us. A day ago our busted transmission brought our road trip to a halt and the next day our transmission was replaced and we were back on the road again! I’ve never had a service experience this good, definitely not at a dealership. Honest prices, and honest work. The whole shop was so nice and accommodating to us, especially the owner, Chris, one of the nicest and most generous guys I’ve ever met. He even went so far to pick my girlfriend and I up to come get our vehicle. I couldn’t be happier with the whole process. So thankful that we brought our camper-van here, I would recommend them to everyone I knew around here but unfortunately I’m from Michigan. But do yourself a favor and call them if you need help.

Can't say enough great things about them. My 2014 Audi S5 6mt would not reverse and made a grinding noise in gear. Brought it in and they diagnosed it and tried messing around with the linkage. Unfortunately it needed a rebuild, they opened her up and found that the case was bad, so had to do a swap. I bought a replacement unit and they popped it in, within 10 miles that unit failed. They pulled it apart again and made the necessary repairs. They were extremely generous with the number of hours billed, I know for a fact they had more into it. I worked very closely with Mike, he was constantly keeping me updated on the process and what was happening. I have only had the car back for a week now, but have already put about 700 miles on it since I got it back and am very happy with the way it drives. Feels like new! Thanks so much to Terry's staff for making this happen! I trust these guys for anything transmission related for any of my cars!

These guys are top notch. We had a routine drivetrain service done on our Tahoe along with an aftermarket intake installation and it the process was flawless. Excellent communication from the manager and they will even text you with updates, etc. I've heard great things about them and have now experienced it myself. If you are looking for the cheapest place around, look elsewhere. If you're willing to spend a little bit more for the work to be done right the FIRST time, go to Terry's. We will be back.

Terry's just did diagnostic work for a transmission problem i'm having. They did a preliminary inspection for free, and then completed an in depth diagnosis and only charged me for 1hr of labor. They also worked up costs for me that ranged from inexpensive with low warranty coverage through more expensive with good warranty. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the work that needs to be done, but I ended up opting to not have further work done due to my vehicle being old and no longer worth putting more money into. I was treated with respect by everyone that I interacted with. Based on my experience, I appreciate their professionalism and trust them to stand by their work.

I brought my car in and Mike helped me through the process in a professional and considerate manner. The work done on my car has stood the test of time and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. They were completely upfront and honest about what they were doing and how much it would cost. I will definitely be a returning customer.
