I called this business to sell my 2005 Ford Cargo Van on the evening of 7/30. The operator offered me $500 which I was content with, and agreed upon. Next thing you know, he hung up without getting any information from me. I called back immediately and asked hey, do you need any info from me? I’m guessing it was busy that he didn’t realize we didn’t exchange these things. Gave him my name, address and telephone number to contact me. He explained that the driver will be by me the following day 8/1 between the times of 11Am-12pm, which was great for me. 8/1 comes around and the timeframe given passed. I called and he says “when the driver gets in I’ll call you to let you know when he’s on the way to you” Granted, the weather was pretty bad on 8/1 with heavy rains, so i didn’t expect that call. 8/2 comes around and I called first thing in the morning. The same man apologized and says “you will be the first stop for my driver I promise.” I say no problem. I waited by my phone all day, to no avail. When the day began winding down, I became increasingly frustrated. No communication, no call. I decided to take my business elsewhere and they came same day to pick up for more than the amount this business offered me. Today is now 8/3 and still they haven’t reached out. I normally don’t like leaving negative reviews on businesses, however I think this needs to be addressed and fixed. If there’s a heavy workload and not enough staffing, then that’s understandable, but customers deserve transparency and better communication. I do hope this is a lesson learned.
If you want great customer service ask for John, him and his staff will help you ,If you’re planing to sell your old car give him a call, they’ll come with cash in hand and pay you more than the car is worth . I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
Let’s start out by saying if I can give negative reviews I would. Now, I also understand that the driver is just doing his job. He was nice and he was doing his job. The owner whom I spoke to on the phone. Asks what kind of car I had. After telling him I got offered $350 cash. I was content with that price because I needed to get it out of my employee parking lot and it was not worth fixing anymore. So after everything and now let’s skip to where the car is on the lift of the tow truck. The driver sent a photo of the catalytic converter which resulted in the boss calling and telling me he can only offer $150! A $200 decrease in what was discussed. Nothing was said about the catalytic converter. He claimed it what aftermarket. Which it was not! I am already late for work and the car was on the lift and it was raining. I wish he could’ve been more reasonable instead of lowballing and being shady. Nothing was said before about terms of the vehicle. I’ve dealt with plenty of junk for cash places. I’ve got almost double and triple of $150 everytime without even taking a peep at the car. No decency what’s so ever!

Did you even read the review?! You never said a word on the phone call that having anything aftermarket would change the price, only after the cars front bumper was nearly TORN off on the lift. Then I was informed… dealing with a small business I would expect nothing but honest service. But that just wasn’t the case. For the future you should let the customers know the terms upfront instead of pulling a fast one!
They said they would come at by a certain time and never showed up. I called and they said they were meaning to call me and let me know that they couldn’t come. The rep said that they would be in touch the next day. The next day came and low and behold i never received a call. Needless to say i took my business elsewhere.
Don’t do business with them I have fully running mini van they offered 500 over the phone and when they came to pick it up they said 200 they are not honest people Bad for the community
Our car hasn't moved in years and was stuck, no gears were moving, and the car would not start. When they arrived, it really easy, reliable, and they had great communication. When they were running behind, they made sure to communicate, and the process was painless and a great relief to our family. John and Chris were very friendly and professional.
The greatest company!!!! a lot of other companies struggled getting my car out the driveway and they showed up and made everything look easy got my car out with no damage to the car or to my house.
Unprofessional, rude, and unorganized. What a shame. Most companies on the island carry a certain level of respect, but these gentlemen just dont act like any other company I have ever dealt with. I really wanted to like them too.
The tow truck came on time, very polite and did everything in a timely and lovely manner. A gentle and very patient with me. I really appreciate the service and definitely will be calling again. Thank you so much!!
The man who picked up the vehicle was courteous: gave me the name of the company , his name , asked if I had the title , key, , my address , whether the car worked or not , snd where it was parked . He then let me know that he was on his way , and would arrive by 4:30 pm . He went on to say that he would call when he was about five minutes away, and did so. When he arrived he was smiling , friendly, introduced the driver and proceeded ask again whether I had the title and key . He and the driver looked under the vehicle and found what they needed intact . I gave the driver the key. Then he sent me this text and explained why. On proceeding to the porch, the driver set the SUV and his Carrier into alignment and loaded it on . I signed the back of the registration and title where he designated, gave them to him . He gave the payment, as we exchanged friendly banter.
And we both bid each other blessings.
I live in Staten Island and these guys came from queens to pick up the car. These guy so kind and professionals. This is the right company to call if anyone wants to recycle their car.

I called Junk Car Giant for a quote on a vehicle I was looking to junk. From the beginning they were very professional and thorough. They explained to me the process and walked me through each step. My parked car was totaled by a hit-and-run driver, (2004 Subaru, didn't have collision insurance). I finally decided that it was too badly damaged to repair, decided to junk it. Called Junk Car Giant, and even though I called late in the afternoon, they were able to come pick up the car that same day (actually in about 45 minutes.) They asked me only a few basic questions over the phone, told me a price, and actually paid me that price (in cash) when they picked up my car! The driver (John) was polite and professional, he called to let me know he was on his way, and arrived on-time. He even offered to help take the plates and stickers off the car for me. It could not have been easier.
