Got a flat while driving near Roslyn High School, luckily the Roslyn Master Service Station was just south of RHS. They got me a used tire and gave me a coffee on the house. Very kind staff and pricing is fair! Highly recommend. They also cleaned my car (Interior and Exterior) free of charge. Deserves 5 stars. Had a great experience.
Went to these guys for an inspection - they were great! I was late for my appointment but they managed to take me in straight away and conduct the inspection extremely fast!
The Owner is very fair and one of the most genuine people I’ve ever came across in business. This guy is always trying to get the best for the customer. Will be going back soon for photo inspections!
We were in a pinch with two toddlers in the back seat, and realized we had an expired inspection and registration. We called 10 other shops, all booked or with a 2+ hour wait.
Roslyn Masters saw that we had kids, expedited the entire registration and inspection in 15 minutes. These guys are a godsend. Definitely coming back for the next service!

Went in for an inspection and they made up over a grand in bogus charges for repairs or else they wouldn't pass my vehicle for inspection. They did other things for free that I didn't ask them to do and I had a big coupon that they complained about me using because they threw in all these other small things. They changed the quoted price on me multiple times, too - each time with a higher price.
Another person was right - they are masters in deception. The mechanic seemed so nice initially but after my experiences I can tell that he is conning people. They are con men here. DO NOT TRUST THEM. If I could give them zero stars, I would.
Wow Waly and his crew are the best! I came for an NYS Inspection and they did it super fast, were very thorough, checked all fluids and tire pressure. Excellent service would highly recommend!!
I brought my car here to get serviced and although the job was done well I have a hard time giving it 5 stars because of communication. When I specifically asked if the parts for my car were on site they said yes - which I understand not losing the sale but it should have been communicated that more time will be needed to complete the job as the parts were being ordered and sent to the location. What was told would be a 2 hour job turned into a 5 hour job. I would have gladly returned the next day to still have my car serviced if this was shared with me before they took my car apart.
Communication is key and also gives me an opportunity to deny the job. That wasn’t even an option. On top of that the cost of the job was never shared until completion. No authorization or approval is made either. Wish I didn’t come here for the convenience and went to BMW instead. Not best practice. Lesson learned.
A businesses true colors emerge when they make a mistake!! Performed work without authorization and did not call to ask for approval of charges. Totaled over $500, afterwards I compared prices at another mechanic and they were astronomically lower. For the price I would’ve expected better service. I should’ve had the option to go elsewhere with better prices before the work was done. Very scammy and took advantage of my age and lack of knowledge about cars. Will never come back again, terrible business practices. They called me after the fact and argued with me instead of listening to my concerns and offered no remediation besides a credit for more work at their shop (I don’t want to return to be scammed again, so that offer is pretty useless). Their reaction to my concerns tells me all I need to know about their customer service practices and care for the community.
What can I say? If you have any problems with your vehicle, please don’t hesitate to bring it here! Friendly, professional and honest staff. I’m very happy and satisfied! I will continue bringing my car here from here on out, and I’m glad I don’t have to go else where because I’ve had my fair share of problems with other auto shops! In a world where there are soooo many problems I really don’t need another, thank you for the awesome service as always :)
Terrible service and preys on customers’ lack of knowledge.
My girlfriend’s car broke down just outside our apartment, so we brought it in. The billing statement and everything the owner has said afterwards doesn’t make sense and is frankly insulting to anyone that knows anything about cars.
They called saying that the issue was that the fuel injector was dirty. That raised a red flag initially, given that the car’s only 3 years old. But after researching the newer Kia’s, it could be the issue. The main problem is that when he called her he said they had cleaned her emissions system already (without calling beforehand). When she called him on this after the fact, he said that this was needed to diagnose the issue. This is where the billing statement comes in: they wrote that the error code the car was throwing was related to the fuel rail (probably P0087 or one of various codes indicating a misfire if I had to guess). The fuel rail is responsible for supplying fuel to the injector. The emissions system handles the emissions after the fuel is burned. In no universe do you need to clean the emissions system to diagnose a fuel rail issue. This doesn’t preclude buildup in the emissions system from being an issue, but saying that he needed to do that to diagnose the issue tells me everything I need to know about them.
He later tried to backtrack and say that he did ask for her permission to do the emission system clean. However the only phone he made to her between drop off and pick up was at 3:20 and I arrived to pick it up for her at 4:00. They expect us to believe they cleaned the emissions system and the fuel injector and test drove in 40 min and billed us for 1.1 hours. I know I should’ve said something before paying when I skimmed the bill and saw catalytic converter clean (this is a notorious junk charge). But I was too exhausted to deal with it anymore than I had to at that point.
Normally, I’d have my Dad use his ODB2 scanner so we could look at the error codes and try to diagnose the problem ourselves. Unfortunately I’m from Michigan and have been procrastinating getting my own. However after this experience I’ll make sure I always have one handy in case a place like this ever tries to slip in needless charges like this.
This business would not last where I grew up, and I believe they’re only in business due to people around here not having any interest in understanding cars. I really tried to give every benefit of the doubt and see if maybe there was something I didn’t know, but now I’ve confirmed my suspicions they’ve done nothing to remediate. We’re taking it to a new mechanic tomorrow to verify that the emissions clean was actually done, and if even so if we can’t remediate the issue soon I’m afraid we’ll have to escalate this.
And as a general PSA: when reading 5 star reviews of a shop saying that they identified a lot of problems and they got a lot of work done there, just remember that you don’t have to be a car person to write a review of a shop.
After coming here I will never go back to my Honda dealer, the prices here are way better and it’s more efficient for me. If you are looking for a reliable and efficient place to bring your car I highly recommend these guys! They also dropped me off when I was having my car repaired. Thank you for the help.
I was borrowing my grandpa’s car and my bumper came apart. Only $300 for the repair. They were amazing and quick to have me bring the car in and they are willing to help me out with my personal vehicles going forward. You get a courtesy ride home and many more cool amenities. Definitely recommend this place!!!!
Got a state inspection and got my registration renewed here. The staff were quick and helpful. I also had some repairs here and they drove me to my house so I didn’t need to order an Uber and wait. very polite team working there. If you’re looking for reliable and honest service I highly recommend you visit them, kindest staff and gives great deals.
This mechanic company is wonderful! I called on Wednesday morning to give them a heads up that I would be arriving around 1 PM for a state inspection test. I needed some work done to pass, and Wen helped me quickly and efficiently for a low price. He even topped off my oil and brake fluid free of charge. I live in Manhattan and had a client meeting in Roslyn. I'd say they are worth the trip out. Thank you!
I had an amazing experience at Roslyn Car Care Center yesterday. A rainy day and my tire popped. I found this place. All the staff are nice and professional, courteous, and genuine . Incredibly fast service and very reasonably priced. a very trusting place to bring your car. Definitely recommend.
I took the car in for a state inspection. The manager told me I needed to top off antifreeze, brake and windshield washer fluids. This was interesting because on the morning of bringing the car in I topped off those exact fluids. He also told me I needed new windshield wipers which were working fine without leaving any streaks on the window.
Seems that other people had a similar experience based on the reviews. I regret not reading reviews from other prior to going to this place. My advice is to avoid this shop.
