On 2/17/26, came in to check on soft brakes on my 1999 Chevy suburban. The mechanic,Tat, checked the brakes and said he saw work was done on the brake system. I said to Tat, work was done by another repair shop, however, there appears to be a bubble in the brake abs system. Tat said he will use his OBDII scanner tool and if the function to activate the abs pump appears for my year vehicle he will do it. Tat returned 20 minutes later and said it was done. I was happy that Tat listened and was able to complete the job. As a result my confidence in my brakes was restored. Tat was honest and helpful. I recommend this repair shop.
Thank you Tat for always being truly professional & honest about what my car needs. I purposely don't go to the dealer or Firestone anymore because they always try to manipulate me into thinking my car needs other types of repairs or replacement parts. It's very difficult to find reliable & trustworthy car shops & one of my friends referred me to come here. Thank you ☺️☺️
I called after seeing such great reviews, brought my X7 in for wheel alignment after discovering how dis-honest ralley bmw is, and what a gem of a place this is. Tat is super knowledgeable and honest. The timing on how long it was going to take was super accurate - loved the place and will come back for anything I can get done here.

Before I left NY I bought an old car. I would take it here regularly for oil changes. They were great!!! They always remembered my car, me and my wife’s name. They always gave me a print out of anything wrong with car that was either pressing or could wait until later. Very honest, easy going people that will give you the right advice about your car with just an oil change. I highly recommend this place!!

Hands down the best car shop I’ve ever been to. The team at Midas Mineola is trustworthy, honest, and really goes the extra mile. They got my car in quickly for an oil change and brake job -and even worked through their lunch to get it done. Hardworking and dependable. This is the only shop I’ll be going to from now on.
Easily scheduled appointment for an inspection online after closing and received confirmation at 7:30 the following morning. The Inspection was done quickly, but I had enough time to watch professional and friendly interaction between Tat and several other customers, all of whom appeared to have been there before. Honest, friendly, and helpful service at fair prices explains the repeat customers.
Class-A, service center for my emergency stop for worn out rear brakes & rotors when I drove up from Tennessee. Lance was an absolutely professional above and beyond in assisting each customer. He explained in thorough details of the problem, solutions, and cost breakdown. I’ve had my fair share of taking my cars to mechanics thanks to owning Buick & Chrysler in the 90’s and Land Rover in the 2000’s, but no mechanics, not even from LR dealerships explained the problem/cause and solution and the repair costs like Lance did. I did not feel like being taken advantage of being a female customer and got charged an arm and a leg for things which I didn’t need to repair. And the technicians worked so quickly to get me back on the road. Thank you Lance! I highly recommend Midas in Mineola! AAAAA+

If your car doesn't need to have a part replaced, they will let you know. They don't look to charge for any unnecessary service. If you want to go someplace for repairs or service for your vehicle that is honest... This is the place. Highly recommend!
This is where I always get any work and maintenance done on my car. Went to a different place and they told me I needed a new alternator, then went here and they said my alternator was fine. They’re honest and trustworthy, which is unfortunately difficult to find in the auto repair space.

This place is great. I came in for two small issues - a burned out turn signal and a clogged valve in one of my tires. They had me in and out in 15 minutes for unbelievably cheap. The mechanics were kind and did not try to upsell me. I will come back again for more work here.
Lance, Tat and staff are awesome! They are trustworthy. We’ve been bringing our cars here for years. This kind of honesty and helpfulness in vehicle service is rare and refreshing. It's fantastic when mechanics take the time to fully explain issues and prioritize what truly needs attention rather than upselling unnecessary repairs.
I chose this Midas over others because the reviews praised the workmanship and the honesty of the staff. They particularly singled out Tat, the service manager. I had an annoying rattle in the muffler. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem as a loose electric valve in the muffler. BWW’s fix was to replace the entire muffler for +$1,000! Tat researched that others had zip wired the valve open (no loss of performance), and said they would try that. Instead they had to weld it open. Noise gone. In and out in 15 minutes for $95! Awesome.

This Midas location is fantastic! I had to bring my car in with my three kids in tow. Tat helped us right away, he and his team diagnosed the issue immediately and began to work on it in minutes. It was fixed and ready within a few hours, they charged a reasonable rate and we were back on the road. They have since followed up several times to ensure that the car is still running well. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for any future issues!
ALWAYS satisfied with any repairs the guys do at this Midas. All are honest and will take the time to explain what is wrong with your vehicle and what needs to be replaced/repaired. And you get a very good price or estimate, as sometimes there is more to the problem than 1st appears to be. but you'll always be told and ave the chance to approve or decline. Lance, the owner is a good guy and a Christian with a gift of explaining the repair in simple terms. I highly recommend/suggest you bring your vehicle here when you've any trouble with your vehicle.
As a 1st time customer to most places, you always have a little anxiety and fear if you will be treated fairly and respectfully and if you will be overcharged. However, my experience at this shop was AMAZING. Tat explained everything that was wrong with my vehicle in terms that I could understand and even re explained what was needed to my brother when I called him. I did not hear the other employees names but they were all very friendly and personable which is very important when in today’s times quality customer service seems to be a thing of the past. I even received a follow up text reminding me my inspection was up next month. I will definitely be returning for future services as this location gets everything right
I went in for an oil change and my tire pressure light was on, I had asked the owner to check it for me. He said sure and went sit in front of his computer the whole time. When the worker was done with the oil change, I went out to ask the worker if he had checked the tire pressure for me, the owner came out and stopped him and told me he had asked the other worker to check it for me. But when I check the tire pressure light, it was still on. I took the car to my brother's house asking him to check them for me and both rear tires only had 20 psi in them. I've been referring friends to this shop and I'll never recommend anyone to use this shop again. It is not ok to lie to anyone and betray their trust on you, and especially if it's related to someone's safety and their family's safety!!!
I have been coming here for about 3 years now and I have to say I feel good about dropping my car for service. Tat is great and takes the time to explain everything and even prioritize any work needed. Anyone I seem to talk to is friendly and courteous. Most important I feel like I can trust them, which I consider the most important. Lastly, having a customer database that keeps track of your services also makes it easier to manage.
So I had purchased four tires online at the end of 2019 and was going to have Costco install them but apparently their new policy is that they won't install tires not purchased at Costco which is dumb because they don't even sell my size tires! Anyway, because of that, I had to find a place that WOULD install my tires for me and my friend referred me to Midas in Mineola! Tire installation was reasonably priced and done in a timely manner. The staff there was very nice and professional.
I recently came back a few days ago to have my inspection and oil change done. It was actually pretty last minute but they were able to squeeze me in with no issues and I had my inspection and oil change done in a little over an hour. I had only waited 10 minutes before they brought my car in to be serviced! I brought my own filter and oil so they used that. They placed a sticker for when my next oil change is due on the corner of my windshield which was a nice reminder.
Masks are required upon entry and you can either wait inside or outside (there are chairs available). I did not catch the name of the staff member that helped me inside but he was very nice, professional and pleasant. I will be returning for all my future car needs! :)
