I had a great experience at the Mavis Tire shop on Rockaway in the Five Towns. The staff was professional, friendly, and very efficient. They explained everything clearly, didn’t try to upsell unnecessary services. It's hard to find an auto shop you can trust, but this location definitely earned my confidence. I’ll be coming back and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

The power steering was repaired at a cost of over $1,200. In less than a week, the car broke down on the parkway because the engine bolts had not been secured properly. Mavis would not reimburse for the poor quality of workmanship. They are good for tire issues and cannot be trusted for major repairs.

My experience at mavis was outstanding, from the receptionist, to the pit stop i was helped the whole time. They made sure i was well taken care of and able to go about my day . No faults no issues and quick as well.

I took my car there for an oil change and the specially abled young adults they’ve decided to hire there didn’t put the oil cap back on, yes like the one thats under the hood and that leaves a giant gaping hole if not plugged. Oil went everywhere. Messed up my entire sensor and then when I brought it in they tried to act like it wasn’t them but I was there just 3 days prior. I have proof they admitted to the oil cap issue being on their end but when it came time to pay for repairs mum was the word. The worst place in the world to get something as simple as an oil change done. Make sure you check that you have all your parts and pieces after you pay them for the labor I guess?

From the phone call to Mavis about my flat tire on Christmas Eve, to Imran and Quran at the shop in Lawrence NY, the service was friendly, courteous and professional. I was in a bind and under time pressure and they helped me work it all out. I had to make a compromise on the tire because the match wasn’t in stock but the choice for me was obvious. Went to mavis today Dec 16th 2025 on one of the coldest days ever tired and frustrated because of a noise under the car. I literally sat for 15 mins and the problem was found and diagnosed and solved by manager karon and mechanic Delroy. Karon was so professional and warm, welcoming and he put me at ease and put a smile 😊 on my face. Mechanic Delroy was very detailed on what was wrong with the car and calm and professional. Mavis management and mechanics are effective at diagnosing and providing solutions with no pressure. They give you time to decide what you want to do with the info.

The employees here at Mavis helped me when I was in a pinch and my headlight went out. I brought the lightbulb that needed to be replaced and they fixed it super fast. I am so grateful and highly recommend them!

very friendly , very respectful & nice , coming from a female when I go places I’m usually not comfortable with taken my vehicle to body shops because they try to get over by pricing more , but the guys definitely showed us the problem explained it very well

I would definitely recommend this Mavis location. Last minute I had tore issues and they literally fixed me up with 2 new tires, 15 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING!!!! NO ONE DOES THAT!!!! Service was okay. Wait time was long. I was there on time with an appointment. After changing my tires, the guy wanted me to come back for my wheel alignment because the sun was setting and it was shining in the guys eyes. I already paid for tires and wheel alignment to be completed on that day. That’s not the customer’s fault because the sun is setting and shining in their eyes. Perhaps the owner should invest in something to prevent the glare from shining in the workers eyes. They did the wheel alignment after I told him I’m not able to come back. Good thing I always double check because they also forgot to put the tire valve caps back on.

The guys did a great job! They have a big workshop and 5 lifts. There is no queue and therefore they can help quickly and you don't have to sit half a day waiting!
