I have been going to this Salvation Army for years. Always had a great experience and good buys. For 9 months we have been cleaning out our house and have given $100’s of dollars in donations to this store . Today we brought more donations and went to purchase a few items which totaled 11 dollars and change . This was at 10:45 am. They open at 10 am. My wife gave a $20 bill to pay and the clerk asked her for a smaller bill. I said it’s a $20 and the total is $11 plus change . I asked why he didn’t have $8 in change at 10:45 am. He said everybody before us paid with a card. If everybody paid with a card in the first 45 minutes that the store was open how can he not have $8 in change . This makes no sense unless he wasn’t given any cash yet. This has never happened here. The clerk was very nice but this made no sense. He didn’t even open the cash drawer. What was this about? No cash at all?
This is my favorite Salvation Army Thrift Store (and my closest in geographical location so it's a great plus)
Very organized and clean. I LOVE THAT THIS SPECIFIC STORE HASN'T DITCHED THE 99 CENT/TWO COLOR HALF PRICE DEAL WHILE SEEMS LIKE ALL CAPITAL REGION STORES HAVE DONE AWAY, SO BRAVO AND THANKS.
Employees are very personable and kind. Literally the dude will welcome everyone like the place is his, that Mr. "Good Afternoon" Aaron dude. :) Heyyy~ lolol he -might- be the reason why we return, I dunno lol can't quite explain how I feel other than it makes me wish this store had a revolving glass door so I could leave and come right back just to hear it again.
I have a very niche collection where I collect a certain logo/brand. Love to stop and shop Salvation Army because it's found here!! Thanks guys, love it.
Prices have been recently raised to within $5-10 of original retail on numerous items; footwear, furniture, home decor. Very overpriced for a thrift store.
Like most thrift stores, its hit or miss. I do wish Salvation Army stores in general would do a little bit better on the quality control. Heavily worn and damaged items probably shouldnt make it to the floor at all, let alone for the same prices as undamaged clothing.
That said, I stopped here on my way through the area and got a couple nice things and the staff working were pleasant.
Prices are great with discount colors tags, but bathroom availability is not great. I wish they open all day until business close so it’s convenient for shoppers.
Went in there today some new hire a black woman tag fell off clothing while on front counter she refused to sell item when I asked why she said u are wrong color that's racist in my book will never shop at that dump again
This store is hit or miss with quality of product. Which in today's society where the prices of things are ridiculously high its detrimental to business. Especially when thrift stores are supposed to be affordable.. Ive found some good stuff there but a lot of things slip through that have stains or holes in them that you really have to look for before you purchase. I would think that this would be something that wouldn't be overlooked at the pricing warehouse before the items are pushed to stores to be sold. This should not happen especially when you are selling used shirts priced at $5 to $8. Heres a heads up Salvation army.... people Can get the same shirt at walmart for the same price and it will be brand new. I do like that unlike other charity organizations, you actually give back to communities so I do continue to support and buy things. As for this location they do have alot of %50 off deals so that helps the consumer with a tight budget on specific days. I do feel that for an organization based on helping the impoverished that the prices should be adjusted and lowered. Here is a good find tho. $8 originally, on sale for 50% off. At $4 I'd say thats a reasonable price. I almost didn't at $8. It was a struggle to decide ...i thoroughly looked it over for holes and stains..which is not what someone should feel at a thrift store.
I went to this location on January 04/24 at 5:30pm while I was in the store I ask the manager to let me use their bathroom she say not because the bathroom already been cleaned and no one can be there alone, I’m a person with health issues, I told her the I need to use the bathroom because I’m a diabetic person , she say no one can be alone back there, guess what I call the fire department and the police to check my blood sugar was 220 and I need to seat down that’s why I need to use the restroom, lady work for the state department was there she told me the manager was very aggressive with me in front my wife and my two little daughters, I’m a business owner any costumers come to my business they allow to use the bathroom because any penny they spend I pay my bills to move on I says to her, this is not the end , I was talking to other team member the reason why I need to use the restroom and the manager come interrupt my conversation saying she is the manager and no one talk bad about her store ….. I believe this kind person is not ready to be coming a manager or running the store she need to be training how to treat costumers, hopefully no one gets this bad experienced on Thursdays night at this store with this arrogant manager.
They refused to sell a $2 dinosaur toy to my 3 year old because it didn't have a price tag. Not a single smooth spot that a tag could've gone. I would've given them any reasonable price but wasn't even an option. Did they not see the 3 year old excitingly playing with it in line, or the sad face when told he couldn't buy it? Thats a cold heart and just bad business..
Who doesn't love a good thrift store? And knowing that the profits are going to such a great cause is the best part! I stop in a few times a year and I never leave (or arrive) empty handed! Don't forget to donate when you can!!!
Always a go to place for deals on clothing , furniture and miscellaneous items. It's handicapped accessible, in store shopping And the fitting rooms are now open for use .
Awesome store!! Always lots of stuff for the kids and always a couple jems for mom and dad. Our favorite location. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. And it's also our families favorite charity due to how much they really do for our local community!!??
On this visit I purchased 2 Pyrex casserole dishes with covers and a lovely hand carved photo frame. Shopping adventure and recycling benefit both you and the environment when you buy stuff here ?
I go on Wednesday's for the 50% off all but 1 tag. Especially since my husband and son ruin their pants at work. This way I pay less for something they ruin. Workers are usually helpful and nice.
Prices are okay on family day (Wednesdays) but some of the items like faded glory (walmart brand) are a little higher than the price for brand new at the store...
