We were about to leave from a week long vacation at our favorite spot on Paradox lake when my husband's truck began having issues. Car loaded and our dog with us, we had already tried another place and they were closed. Nick was like a guardian angel, confirmed what was wrong with the truck, and immediately found parts somewhere in town. Alternator and battery later.... In only 3 hours! And we still made it out under a grand. I cannot stress enough how much this place saved us. We would have been stranded, with our dog (in 90 degrees weather) and without a vehicle. Please please give your business to Mountainside, you will not be disappointed. We were able to walk to town and go to the public park, a less able bodied person may want to consider getting a ride (about 1.5 miles)
When you need someone that is reliable, trustworthy, and that will not scam you, this is the place to go to. The tech is very knowledgeable and easy going. He looks out of the best interest for the vehicle and making sure to build a long term lasting relationship.
When I ever need anything for my ride, this is my go to spot.
My boyfriend and I were driving from NJ to Canada and had car troubles on the way up. After trying everything we could and staying overnight nearby, we made a last ditch effort and pulled up to Mountainside Auto Repair. Nick…what a cool dude. We showed up and he stopped what he was doing immediately to hear our story and take a look at the car. From there, everything was good. I tried to pay him for the time, but he insisted we owed him nothing. I’ve dealt with a lot of mechanics, and I’ve never met one so chill, so young, and just honestly helpful. THANK YOU NICK!!!
I was driving north on I-87 after Thanksgiving and had my brakes go soft on me. Even though the shop was closed for the next few days, Nick got me in immediately and allowed me and my passengers to rest inside the shop. He was incredibly efficient in ordering new parts and repairing my car. Nick was an amazing mechanic and an outstanding and honest human being. I cannot recommend going to his business more.
I was on vacation near Schroon Lake, and noticed a gas puddle under my car one morning. I asked someone in town if there are any repair shops that might be able to look at my car without an appointment and they suggested Nick. They even called him for me. He said to bring the car over, so I did. He put it up on the lift so we could see where the leak was. Turned out it was minor, and I was able to drive the car home without issue. This was late on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend, which is I think is EXCEPTIONAL, and very much appreciated.
I’ve known Nick for a long time he always takes care of my truck and it’s hard to find a mechanic that takes pride in their work. Nick will tell it to you straight of what the truck or car needs he always does a great job on my truck.
Beyond Thankful for Nick! Was in my way home from vacation with my family when my car started acting funny. I ended up needed a coil pack. Nick was so kind to all of us. Said go grab lunch in town and came back. We did just that. And when we got back we were good to go. Nick was a blessing to my family and I. Kind and professional. We need more Nicks in this world.
