When we had our car accident on the NYS thruway in the North Country, Wayne came to haul our damaged/incapacitated vehicle from the highway. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when we met the following day at his garage to remove our belongings from our “total loss” vehicle. If you unfortunately have an accident in the Adirondacks, you’ll want to call his shop.
Went to Schroon Lake for our annual family vacation. While on our 5 hour drive, we noticed some shaking and vibrations from our car. Went to North Country Auto to have our car checked out for any problems. They had us on a lift within minutes and thoroughly checked the suspension. They pointed out that my tires were worn more than I realized, and that was most likely the issue- but not an emergency. I found the folks there to be really trustworthy, friendly and knowledgeable. They only charged me $20, which was more than fair. Believe the other reviews here, these men are honest professionals and I am glad I went to them.
I wish I could give Wayne, the owner of North Country a 10-star Google rating! You don't find helpful, caring and skilled folks like Wayne very much anymore. Another wrecker service did not fully tighten the lug nuts after changing a flat tire of my RV. I drove on it for 160 miles and not only were the studs damaged, but so was the wheel. Wayne came to my aid (a fellow RVer, by the way) and made things right so I could finish my trip and get home safely. Seriously, if you are in the area and need a quality mechanic, give North Country a call.
Excellent service. I hit something on the road on a drive to Canada and damaged my car. I called North Country and they told me to bring it in. After 30 minutes or so the problem was fixed and I was back on the road again. I am so grateful for their help!
This place helped me out of a very bad situation. Driving six hours to canada and my car acted up 3/4 of the way. They took it in with no hesitation and the price for the job was average. Very nice people who know what they’re talking about and care about their customers. Thank you for rescuing the day!
Needed a last minute valve stem replacement for my trailer. Pottersville Garage charged me over twice than these guys! I have 2 more tires to get done and combined were less than Pottersville Garage!

Our car broke down on the Northway at the High Peaks rest area. North Country Towing was there when asked to be and delivered our car to a dealership in Queensbury with no issues at all. Would highly recommend!
I was stuck in a ditch in the middle of Keene Valley, with no cell service. They made it in about an hour on a Saturday evening. My truck was out of the ditch and I was on my way in no time. Great job!
I had a bad experience they damaged my car offered to pay the deductible and we have not received payment yet the car should have never been touched I was sleeping when it happened I’m from a different state and this is so embarrassing
Our car broke down after hours. Our insurance company has roadside assistance. We called them for tow truck. They said that they couldn't help us. Maybe the next morning. I called North Country Towing and Repair. Wayne sent a tow truck in 15 minutes, picked up our car, and took it back to his shop. Called me the next morning with a repair estimate. They fixed our car, and even picked us up. Very happy.
Amazing. Up here on vacation and our truck died. We had to get a new battery and needed help getting it replaced. Called this place on a whim and they were able to help us right away, on a rainy Saturday. Super nice people and thankful they were there for us in a pinch! Definitely recommend this business!

Small business with a "Let's get it done if we can" attitude. These folks went above and beyond to help us out of a jam today when 2 of our own local tow companies "couldn't " help. Thank You Dee and Wayne. Could not be more greatful...
They are a smaller business but there service was good. I went got what I needed to get fixed fixed, payed then left. Not extremely expensive and they were pretty nice while I was there.
Broke down in Schroon Lake on our way to Saranac Lake, the folks at North Country Towing & Repair diagnosed the issue, although not equipped to repair the transmission, they were extremely friendly and trustworthy. They let me leave my car on their lot, free of charge, allowing me to still enjoy my vacation up in Saranac Lake. During my mini emergency, they could of taken advantage of the situation, but they were extremely honest and went the extra mile. Thank you guys.
