This place is a life savior. I was stuck stranded over six hours from home with broken wheel stud and a bad tire. These guys had no problem fitting me into replace my studs and they even found an exact match for my tire. All of this took less than four hours despite being super busy and having to order my tire and the cost was much lower than I was expecting. Additionally, while I was there I watched the GM/ Owner help an older fellow fill up his tires with air free of charge and without hesitation. Additionally, all the locals we talked to in the waiting room seemed to be repeat customers who seemed to have a personal relationship with the shop and its people. Lastly, a small detail but something I think that speaks to this shop's professionalism, they even put my spare tire and my jack back into its organizers instead of just setting them in my trunk.
Boyfriend and I were in a situation stranded and were towed here overnight by AAA. We didn’t have an appointment or any ability to call ahead as our issue happened on a Sunday evening. This place is great, fantastic customer service, “can-do” attitude, and very friendly. Small town vibes and definitely recommend this service center to anyone who needs assistance. I even watched as an elderly gentleman came in during a rush and just asked for help with putting air in his tires, Ralph immediately went outside and helped him out.
Go to Basil's Service Center! Great service and the most friendly staff! They can quickly identify the problem with your car and service it while you wait!

On a good note on a business in town.
Basil's auto center. I had my car at Basils yesterdsy to check brakes and the muffler was rattling.
They called said brakes were fine and it was the heat shield that was rattling, they tightened it.
I asked how much, they said no charge. They could have soaked me for brakes and said I needed a muffler. They have always been good to me.
When picking up my car I brought the guys a box of Timmy's donuts as a thank you!

These guys are the most genuine and honest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I was having issues with my box truck while trying to make a long trip. Even though they aren't equipped for such a vehicle they went above and beyond to help me out when every other shop in the area said "sorry we can't do it ". If you want honest and quality people/work done with your vehicle, you won't find better.
Excellent service at a very fair price. I wish I could give this shop 10 stars. I had a transmission leak on a cross country road trip. Although they were really busy, they found a time for me to come in and fixed the problem quickly. My car continues to run well many miles later. Thank you Basil's Service Center!
It was an odd feeling to have to find a place to service my car after my family’s dealership closed. Thankfully, we have Basil’s Service Center in town. Phil, Ralph, Dawn and the entire team are awesome. They’re everything you’d want to find in an automotive service center - honesty, punctuality and trustworthiness. I highly recommend them.
I was traveling through Hamburg, NY. My vehicle was overheating. I called several repair shops and they wanted me to make an appointment.
Basil's told me to bring it there and they would work it in. They got busy right away on the repair. They even stayed late. The vehicle needed another part, so they drove to another city to get it.
They had it repaired the next morning.
I can't even say how greatly I appreciate their efforts.
Very courteous, professional and caring. If I lived there that is the only place that would work on my vehicle.
Friendly staff and great quick service. Prices were very reasonable. I am moving up to buffalo soon and I may make this place my primary repair shop.
Update: They are human after all. Had my power stearing pump start acting up. They replaced it but it continued to act up after the repair. Took it back in a week later and they fixed the aditional O ring that was making the system leak and did not charge me any more and apologized for the inconvenience. Everyone makes mistakes but they made it right and that gets them my continued buissness. Prices have gone up some but that is expected in this economy.
We just moved into the area and heard good things about Basil's. My SUV had an oil leak that I was told (by another garage) would cost a lot of money to fix. The great folks at Basil's fixed it fast & for a fraction of the cost. I'm so grateful that I found such an honest, skilled & professional group of people to take care of my vehicles. I would recommend them to anyone.
Called for an appointment to get my cam phasers re-sealed as those covers have been leaking oil. I was promised by an employee on Wednesday that this would be taken care of by Friday. Only to get a call from the manager on Friday saying they wouldn't take the job. I also thought the quote was a bit high for other work that was needed. After having my time wasted with an eventual refusal to fix the main issue I decided to repair the minor issues myself and take it elsewhere for the oil leak problem.
Great service! I was in the area visiting and didn’t want to wait to take my vehicle in when I got back home. They said sure no prob bob and told me to drop it off in the AM. I thought there was water behind my glove compartment, turns out it was a just kidding moment. There was debris in the air conditioner vents, piled high so that water was collecting in the vents and didn’t have anywhere to go. They cleaned out the vent of all debris (acorns, dirt, leaves, etc) and got all the water out, and then did a test drive to make sure the noise was gone and there wasn’t anymore leaking water coming down on my front passenger floor mat. I called them, they said it was ready. (Definitely call back if you haven’t gotten a call back in a couple hours) I came and picked it up, they charged me for a half hours worth of time and sent me on my way. I am a happy customer! Had a good experience there but was also super glad it wasn’t a major problem.
I was driving from Michigan to Massachusetts and my car broke down. This service station stayed open to help me. They couldn't get the part until the next day so they made sure I got safely to a hotel. Good people!!!

Had tire trouble on the Thruway and found Basil's via the internet. Arrived without any appointment and they found time to help us. The manager and the technician were most professional and helpful. As a matter of fact we were back out on the road in about an hour! I would recommend this service to anyone without reservation.
Had my NY inspection done at Basil's.Also had 4 new tires put on. The service was great. Dropped my car off.They gave me a ride home. When my car was ready they cameven and got me.
Helpful and fair service. I encountered a brake problem while on the road and they were able to quickly identify it as merely a loose caliper bolt, requiring a simple fix. In fact, due to the quick fix, they did not even charge me. Honest and friendly - I would highly recommend this service center!

Recently,driving from Boston,MA to Ohio, I lost a rear tire on my Econoline van. Skidding sideways on 3 wheels ,sparks flying from the broken drum and now going across instead of down Hwy 90 at 60 mph, my van (and the utility trailer I was hauling) came to a surprisingly gentle stop outside of Angola,NY.
Starting with the tow truck driver that took me my van and trailer to Basil's Service Center ,
along with the people at this service center, they were interested ,polite, knowledgeable and professional.
These are the kind of people anyone would want to " have your back."
I had to go to the local supermarket to pick up money to pay for the extensive damage to the van again,friendly people.
I'm one of the "Boomers" that went back to school after my retirement. When I graduate in 2017,I'm going to put on my right "blinkah" and with the college and Boston in my rearview mirror, I'm going to point my van west on 90 and hopefully start a prosperous second career in Angola. Yes, those people were that good ! P.Z.
my only experience so far was over the phone and literally after we figured every thing out over the phone and set up an appointment right away it put me in a good mood all day. the fact that you know you can trust someone over the phone is a great feeling and basils is just redefining the term polite and great service. Phil is one of the NICEST guys around and you just know does honest hard work.
