I had come as a solo female traveler with a flat tire to the garage. And as a women coming alone to a garage theres always a bit of fear. Because sometimes people don't give it to you straight.
Well they did. It was the best service and kindness I have gotten from a mechanic. Ever.
When he heard I was traveling alone he wouldn't let me pay. Just told me good luck and safe travels.
Truly good people.
And the tires holding out with my travels.

Place trash, very rude, tryed getting money outta my wife for repairs it didnt need for inspection. Scraped sticker outta window before even looking at it. Wouldn't recommend this place at all... 🤬
It's sad, really; They have some good reviews - but most seem to be in response to the fact that there are so many bad ones.
My review of them, is not a good one - that's for sure.
There is an employee there, that called me back right away after I wasn't able to get through, he was patient, friendly, and gave me a clear understanding of how to get a motorcycle inspection. However, the other employee doesn't seem to be following along with that.
I was told anytime, from 8 -6, don't bother to call - they don't schedule motorcycle inspections because they are literally 5 minutes, doesn't require connecting to any computers - it's 6 dollars, has to be cash, exact - unless you're adding a tip, but they do break from 12-1. I was told I could come anytime otherwise, even at 5:30-6. This was the nice guy.
But that was on attempt 2, my first attempt got me a grumpy person who said "tomorrow", giving me the indication that they aren't always there.
On day 2, after speaking with the helpful employee, I had my confusions presumptuously cleared up, but wasn't able to make it so called back around 5pm to explain that I could come the next day instead. However, I got the other, rude and grumpy employee who gives short 1 word answers that leave vague interpretations open.
The grumpy guy told me "another day then". When I asked about the next day, he sounded hesitant to say so, but after a pause following what sounded like was going to be a "no", said "Someone _should_ be there tomorrow"
Next day I tried to call, but no answer. I left a voicemail, no return call. I decided to stop there anyways before getting some ice cream with my son.
I pull up at 5:30 with the business open, open sign flashing, nobody there (essentially an empty parking lot). I see a guy at the counter inside just sitting there on the computer. I walked in, and he was shaking his head at me, and said "What?". I explained I was looking to get a motorcycle inspection and he replied.
"I can't do that."
I asked "You can't? I was told that I could come in any time, until 6pm - and told not to bother calling and to just show up."
He replied "I can't do an inspection, not at _this_ time" noting the time. "Tomorrow".
I was furious, I had packed my bike up on my truck, had my kid with me, followed THEIR instructions, and the guy is just running me around, wasting my time, clearly unmotivated to wok, and rude and disrespectful, lacking an excuse whatsoever considering he was sitting there doing nothing - and had 20-30 minutes left in the day; What was stopping him from doing a 5 minute inspection?
When you consider this, and the other reviews - his behavior is consistent. The positive reviews are friends and one-offs trying to help him out. I'd highly recommend finding somewhere else to go; This is the kind of person who would rather chase off business to feed his own lack of motivation, and he gets hot headed, tough guy, disrespectful. You don't try to intimidate customers, you don't cop an attitude with customers, you coordinate your manipulative and deceptive jargon with your coworkers before you contradict them and give people the runaround.
I went out of my way to go to Oneonta (I highly recommend Oneonta Motor Sports - they are EXCELLENT!), where I tipped them handsomely for the 5 minutes they spent inspecting my motorcycle 5 minutes before closing time. They told me I could show up 10 to 1 on Saturday, and when I asked when would be too late - they said 1:05. That's how you do business!
I really hope this guy's other employees/coworkers don't end up losing out because of his bad attitude. If they are all on the same page, and are alright with it - well then I guess their select chosen few customers are the only ones who are going to be able to positively review this place. If you aren't one of those people - you should look for somewhere else to get your motorcycle/car inspected/worked on.
At the very least they should update their Google Business profile to reflect true and accurate dates/times per service.

These guys don’t know how to run a business.
First when I called they said to stop by same day - was a trip for nothing. When I arrived the other guy said they won’t be able to do it that day. And suggested to bring it on saturday so they could look at it sunday. i didn’t hear from them at all and had to call Monday afternoon. Guess what?! They didn’t even started to work on my car!!!!!!!! They called me in a few hours (after finally taking my car apart) and told me the price for brand new door latch. Which is $400…. So it came up fixing door latch is almost like replacing the whole door..
Then communication issue just like other people mentioned in reviews. Not being able to order used parts, I was trying to order it myself, but couldn’t get the exact information or decent help and assistance in ordering used parts. 1 week later my car is still in the shop and no progress on that matter.
As per our conversation with the owner I was told the door would be tight up at least so i can drive while we waiting for the part. Now he is saying he is not going to do that and I have to do that myself.
Arguing with the owner and he hang up on me. At the point to just call police and open a case against them.
Had an emergency with my car and Mike did not hesitate to work with me, I can't Thank him enough!! He is knowledgeable, was so very patient with me listened and such a fair price that today you don't find, Thanks again Mike!!
Arrogant manager. A real grouch. Mechanic was nice. Don’t yell at me and start saying no credit cards. Just a real a-hole. Does not communicate properly. Bad attitude. Never going back
Horrible, horrible place to take your car. Place is shaddy, and crooked. Bad aditudes, and not sure they are even mechanics. Brought my car in and left worse than it was.
The owner is off the wall. They did a motor swap on my chevy 1500. They also changed tyranny lines, because the said the were rusted and starting to ro. Left shop and the next day the tyranny won't shift, and I have reduced power. When I took it to the dealer they told me they left a wiring harness loose and the tyranny was 4 quarts low. When I complained, Mike the owner threatened to kill me. Do yourself a favor and keep looking. Not trustworthy at all
Called in advance for an oil change day before made an appointment and he gave it away to someone else even though i was early. Owner was rude about the whole thing. Wont be returning.
Im not the type that writes a review but when i seen some of these reviews i had to first off don't always judge a book from its cover Mike is a very hard working guy that does a great job fixing your car he doesn't rip you off and is very upfront i recommend b& m auto
Worst experience ever. Credit card machine was down and expected us to come up with $700 cash on the spot. Didn't know how to fix this credit card machine. Rude inconsiderate would never and recommend anyone going here. As we were at the bank getting a cash withdrawal we were at from out of town by the way one of the local said to us don't ever take your car to that shop it's horrible. I wish we would have known.
They have always been polite and explained things when I had questions. Took care of my vehicle on several occasions as well as my son's vehicle. No complaints!
Fast and friendly service. They go the extra mile to make sure that your vehicle is fixed properly. Had some very bad experiences with other local mechanics. If it ain't broke, they don't fix it.
Horrible service, called to get price on diagnosing an issue we were told it was free. When we were called and told the issue was a wheel barring, and we told him we didn’t want him to fix it because he was charging $240, he then changed his mind and told us the price would be $45 for the diagnosing of the car. We NEVER go there again. Dishonest and sneaky people.
Extremely rude response whenever you ask for an update on your vehicle. Will tell you it will be done tomorrow for at least a solid month until the mechanic finally decides to come in and start the work. Would not recommend
How is this place aloud to work on cars. First of all rude as hell and very unprofessional. My vehicle has gone there twice and never again. A list of the stuff they did, replaced a control arm bolt using the wrong bolt never torqued down so control arm came loose, put easily 2 dozen zip ties to hold the charcoal canister that they broke in place zip ties on the heat shield zip ties on abs vacuum lines, ruined my brand new exhaust made the exhaust louder welded the exhaust pipe but burnt through the pipe causing holes charged me 125 bucks for a sensor they never replaced. It should be called the jerry rig shop of sidney. Absolutely the worse dont ever take your car here and if you do be prepared to not have it for 5 weeks for a 1 day job trust me i know. I just went to a new shop and was quoted a high dollar amount that could have been avoided if this place actually did their job instead of collecting money. Place is a dump.
Very unprofessional, the shop is a disaster looks like a slum lord owns the place. Mechanic has very bad social skills and shouldn’t be working with customers.
Horrible horrible went to get gas line fixed they didn't fix first time 220$ later got it home and back to work gas leaking again send it back for them to fix it 200$ later and 3 days I get it back replaced all gas lines on it a week and a half later smells like gas again when I get to work get out sure enough leaking gas again plus I don't know what they did but I have a hard time starting it now very dissatisfied with them
i went to them two months ago.they were very busy but took the time to check my van for me and tell me what i needed done for it to pass inspection.i had no money to give them they could have just said sorry we don't have time.but they gave me a quote and when i called back two months later the quote was still the same.They have great customer service from what i can see.
They SUCK they jerked us around for 3 weeks and now my car needs a ton of work and they so nicely ran us right out of our warranty. I would never go there again and i don't recommend anybody else also we would like our spare tire that it has taken over a month for you to get
I've gone to these guys several times, and each time they were fast, efficient, and affordable. They really seem to know what they're talking about, and they don't seem to try to screw you over with unnecessary repairs. Can't recommend B & M enough.
