It was 4 miles away from Simmons garage in January. They wouldn’t pick me up. My car slid on the ice. I was denied help twice.I finally got a ride home by an off duty officer. I found a fb friend request from a woman from the garage. I’m still wondering what the problem was. I had AAA. I had money etc. Never again.
My car got impounded for driving with an expired license and expired inspection while passing through Canaan, NY. I took care of renewing my license the next day and while I was doing that the fine people at Simmons were nice enough to take care of the inspection. When I came to pick up my car the following day it was ready for the road and in good standing. I had a nice conversation with the owner (I think) while picking up.
Good place, would recommend using their services if you ever have the misfortune of getting impounded while driving through that area.

Helpful and welcoming staff, happy to answer questions. Went for an inspection, they didn't gouge me for repairs, was happy to come back and have more work done! (schedule in advance, they can be booked up)
Bought a lemon...and the guys at simmons made it perfectly drivable for a much lower cost than I anticipated. They're very conscious of helping the customer understand the work they're doing and where money is being spent. Very honest folks.
We have a local business in Chatham and have been searching for a mechanic who can get us in and out quickly and just repair the essential work that needs to be done to keep our trucks safe and on the road. We were towed there, charged an outrageous amount for the towing, treated obnoxiously because we were out of towners, and told they couldn't help us for a week. Did I mention we live hundreds of miles away? We had to wait for a tow to Midas in Hudson. I strongly recommend Midas in Hudson. They were wonderful at Midas.
I called to get my total of what my car was from being towed. I get told 302.40. I asked the very rude guy on the phone if I got charged fpr it sitting there on a Sunday in which they were closed on. I got told yes. And that there was on call for 24 hours which is also a joke. I called and left a mess on the towing # and called the shop numerous times. Got no answer. I ask for the owner and get told he is on vacation and I can't get his number. So my experience with them was horrible and dont recommend anyone going there for anything cause they will charge you for days they r closed and god only knows what else. So to the owner whoever you had running your shop that day you might want to let him know he has horrible customer service and got 1 star only cause I couldnt give you zero stars. Ain't nothing like robbing people.
