Thanks for saving my butt today, Lou and Chris! After breaking down unexpextedly and having one hell of an afternoon with my rescue provider, these guys answered my call at 3.53 and had my car in my driveway by 4.35. Wonderful, consummate professionals and lovely locals to boot!
Excellent and quick service! I made an appointment easily to get my NYS inspection and oil change and they were able to accommodate me within two weeks. Everything was done quickly and I was out within an hour of getting the inspection, oil changed, and fluids changed/refilled. They were super friendly and very knowledgeable, prices very reasonable as well. I’m currently located in the Berkshires but have a car registered in NY, and these guys are indispensable to NY/MA folks!!
Not a regular customer, but had a little car trouble while on the road. Had passed by this place, turned around and they helped me right away, didn't have to wait. Not many places where the folks are that helpful these days. Thank you guys at Bar-Ken, really grateful for your service.
Very accomodating and friendly. One down side is they charge a 4 percent premium (they call normal rates discounted) for using credit card. Not sure that is even legal for a state vehilcle inspection.

Have used this shop for both emergency and scheduled appointments and have always found them to be responsive, reliable, and accommodating. Took my car in for a scheduled inspection, though the shop was packed I was still in and out in 20 minutes. Cannot ask for better!
Says flexible and can service anytime. Called for over 30 min line was busy. Called again just rang with no answer. Stopped in for an inspection which is a 10 to 15 minute check and they turned me down & told me I couldn't get in for 2 weeks. Not very friendly attitude. Went somewhere else that I knew would serve me with a smile.
They hung up on me at 4 pm when I was broken down on the highway. I was looking for a repair shop to tow my car to. He said "we are closing now" then hung up.
Car had issues on a road trip to Boston. Bar-Ken got us back on the road in less than thirty minutes and we made it the rest of the way without issue. Friendly and helpful people.
Here's the repair shop I've always sought out. These guys are fast, reliable, and HONEST. When another garage told me I needed something I was skeptical about, I took it here and they were clear about what I actually needed (much less expensive repair). Can't say enough good things.
