Driver has missed the pickup day 4 different times. Different excuses each time. I’ve called and asked to send someone the following day - and twice I was told “we will get back with you” and no one did. I’ve never had issues with garbage collection in the past. Very frustrating that this company will not resolve the issue. Beginning to think this a fraudulent company. I will be disputing charges with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the better business bureau.
My old trash guy sold his business to this company. We paid online in January. 3 weeks go by no one is coming to take the trash. I call them they apologize tell me they'll put my payment towards February bill and said they'll get all 12 bags outside my house. At this point im nice. Ok ty. He's where to find it is the trash ok there do you want me to put it on the curb. Then last week they didn't come. I call again. Again she said its in the notes I dont know why they didnt get it. She's sorry blah blah blah. So today week 6 still have my payment and not one bag picked up in 6 weeks. Run from this place its a joke!
Good receptionists, horrible drivers. Skipped the whole side of the street. This is after 2 days of promises to pick up the trash tomorrow. Same story today, they'll be here "tomorrow". Tomorrow will never come, do not use this company.
Awful company. They barely show up, just decide to bot pick up your trash for whatever bs reason they feel like giving you. Do not use them. They need to go out of business. They charge you for a service that you don't get.
Trash not picked up, said it wasn’t there at 6am. I do my trash same time every week and have time stamped videos of myself doing trash. Now I have to rebag everything and keep it another week which will cause flies and stink. I get if I was late putting it out but not the case. They need to get on schedule bc during school they came after the bus got the kids and saying the trash wasn’t there at 6am is a straight lie and my video proves they lie
Beware of hidden fees such as fuel charge..charge extra for mattress and tires plus they are already figured into the weight...jaw dropped when my total came up...
Cancelled my service told them wait until next week to remove the dumpster so the new company can deliver and I'd have a place for tenants to throw out their garbage. I was paid up until march 18th and they came and took the dumpster anyway. they were overpriced from the start and I was a customer for 4 years i do not recomend and will never use this company again
Bought a yard of stone from them after Sewards refused to fill my trailer, good place to get a yard at a time, their loader was two yards and you pay by the ton.
I moved to my house February 2023. I chose waste recovery as my trash removal and purchasing stone rocks from. I made purchases of stone rocks several times and was charged the same fee every time the most recent one this month in November 2023 I was charged an extra $40 when I called in to see why I was charged extra, they told me it was because of a delivery fee. Prior to this transaction I was never charged a delivery fee. Keep in mind I live within 5 min of them. They were very sour about accommodating me Bc of their error. They also stated it was only 25$ delivery fee but wouldn’t give back the difference. Terrible customer service.
They took over the garbage company we used for twenty years. I am disabled and was paying extra for backdoor service. They would purposely leave the cans at the curbside where I could not get to them. Ignored my calls. They did it multiple times. Very rude and unprofessional. We are now going to go with another company.
Was forced to go with Waste Recovery service, I've made calls to owner ,never received any messages back. The guy who picks garbage up here in windsor,ny has a bad attitude. Are other garbage service took everything, garbage and trims around home. One time somehow one of the bags opened up and guy didn't take it. It became very nasty by the next time he took it. I had 5 bags out on the curb ,he only took 2 the other 3 had only trims around home. 1 of the bags had most garbage and approx 2 cups of trimming and he didn't take it. I've never in 18 yrs had such poor service. I canceled for now.. I'm not going to be treated like garbage..
Never received cans, got run around about manager bringing them out. 2 weeks later no cans and they want me to throw my garbage at the end of the road! Don't waste your money or time with them.
They are the best. Very sweet and helpful staff on the phone. I have been using them for over a year now. I moved and they brought me my can and recycling bins right over to my new address, which is awesome. I would 100% recommend them.
the manager mr reed decided to jusp out of his little ridgeline ans start calling me names for absolutely no reason. then gets in his excavator angry and almost tipped it over on top of me. THEN swaers at me some more when i tell him to be careful.
We are paying 50% LESS for the SAME EXACT SERVICE from WRE versus our former hauler, Casella (whom we had been with for over 15 years). In addition, WRE has NO CONTRACTS (let alone a 3-Year contract, that can only be cancelled if you move out of their service area). VERY highly recommended. Plus, we got these spiffy brand new dumpsters that are decked out in Oneonta High School's colors!
Just got off the phone with Sidney Office after 4 large bags of carefully bagged leaves and twigs were not picked up at my residence. Never an issue in the past. They stated that there is an additional charge for those items. Time to shop for a refuse disposal company that takes these. So much for the 3 dollar increase per month.
I have never had someone treat me with so much disrespect over the phone before. It's unfortunate, I have been with burts refuse since we moved to oneonta almost 4 years ago and never had an issue until WRE took over and it has only been 2 weeks. Please, I advise you shop around for garbage companies before you go with WRE. I switched to casella and my monthly payment is cheaper and the lady on the phone was very pleasant. It's a shame when someone treats a customer so poorly.
